The destruction of the five-headed hydra left behind an eerie, breathless silence across the floating islands of the Ancestral Vault. The swirling crimson aurora overhead seemed to quiet, parting its violent clouds to reveal a narrow path of glowing, solid starlight leading directly toward the summit of the Obsidian Citadel.

At the peak rested the Primordial Throne—a magnificent, ancient seat carved from a single, translucent diamond that pulsed with the foundational energy of the universe. Whoever sat upon it and claimed its sovereign core would hold absolute dominion over the ancient Abyssal Vault and all the forgotten treasures locked within its dimensions.

Inside the ship central viewing lounge, the remaining queens watched the live feed with relaxed expressions.

"Well, that wrapped up nicely," Yoo Ji-a remarked, leaning back against the plush velvet cushions and crossing her legs. "The hydra put up a good fight for a pile of rocks, but husband didn’t even break a sweat."

"Of course not," Liu Xiao smiled, sipping her herbal tea. "Though I must admit, watching Azshara fight side-by-side with him added a rather delightful aesthetic to the whole spectacle. Red and gold go remarkably well together."

Down on the obsidian summit, the spatial portal flickered shut as Min-jae and Azshara stepped out onto the starlight path. The cool, high-altitude winds tugged gently at Min-jae’s black silk tunic and Azshara’s midnight-silk gown.

Azshara looked up at the towering diamond throne, her chest heaving slightly as a complex mix of emotions crossed her porcelain face—relief, vindication, and a profound, overwhelming sense of closure.

"Ten thousand years..." Azshara murmured softly, her glowing crimson eyes shimmering with unshed tears as she stared at the seat of her ancestors. "My dynasty fought, bled, and ultimately perished trying to reach this very summit. For centuries, I believed this throne was the only thing that could give my existence meaning... that reclaiming it was the absolute end of my journey."

Min-jae stepped closer, gently wrapping his arm around her narrow waist and pulling her warm, voluptuous body against his side. "And now that you’re standing right in front of it? How does it feel?"

Azshara turned her head, looking up into Min-jae’s dark, steady eyes. The fierce, defensive armor she had worn for millennia melted away completely, replaced by an expression of utter devotion.

"It feels... entirely secondary," Azshara admitted, a soft, breathtaking smile curving her lips. She reached up, resting her hand against his cheek, feeling the steady pulse of divine life beneath his skin. "Standing here with you, realizing that my clan is safe, my enemies are stardust, and I have a home waiting for me on your ship... this throne is just a piece of glass compared to what I’ve actually gained."

Min-jae’s expression softened, a warm, affectionate grin spreading across his face. He leaned down and pressed a tender, lingering kiss to her forehead. "Then let’s claim it properly, princess. You earned every bit of this."

Together, they walked up the final steps of the starlight path.

Azshara approached the Primordial Throne and placed her palm gently against the translucent diamond. Instantly, the entire vault roared to life. A massive pillar of golden-red starlight shot upward from the seat, piercing the crimson sky and sending shockwaves of pure, revitalizing energy across every floating island in the dimension.

The ancient seal of the Abyssal Dynasty flashed brightly across her forehead, absorbing the primordial core and permanently cementing her supreme authority over the realm.

Azshara turned around, looking out over the vast, conquered domain, and then turned back to Min-jae and the eleven queens watching through the ship’s projection screens overhead.

"The vault is ours," Azshara announced, her voice ringing with clear, bell-like sovereign power, though her crimson eyes were fixed entirely on Min-jae.

Moments later, the obsidian summit flashed with gold as Min-jae and Azshara teleported directly back into the luxurious, sunlit interior of the Aethel-Prime’s central lounge.

The moment they materialized, a chorus of cheers and warm applause echoed through the room.

Lin Miao scurried over, her nine white tails twitching happily as she wrapped her arms around Azshara in an enthusiastic, welcoming hug. "You did it! Welcome officially to the club, sister! Now you’re just as legally complicated as the rest of us!"

Azshara blinked in surprise, momentarily stiffening from the sudden physical affection before melting into the hug, wrapping her arms around Miao with a soft, genuine laugh. "Thank you, Miao. It seems my life has become wonderfully, unpredictably chaotic."

Major General Ye-rin walked up, holding a crystal tray filled with glasses of chilled starlight champagne. She handed one to Azshara and one to Min-jae, raising her own glass with a sharp grin.

"To the Abyssal Dynasty, the newly claimed vault, and the twelfth queen of the household," Ye-rin toasted boldly. "May our treasury never run dry and our enemies always have terrible aim."

"Hear, hear!" Yoo Ji-a beamed, clinking her glass against Ye-rin’s.

The lounge immediately erupted into a lively, cheerful chatter. The tension of the trials completely evaporated, replaced by the warm, comfortable banter of a sprawling, close-knit family.

Azshara took a sip of the champagne, letting the sweet, effervescent liquid wash over her tongue. She stood beside Min-jae, leaning her shoulder comfortably against his while watching Liu Xiao and Medusa debate over which ancient artifacts from the newly conquered vault would look best displayed in the palace galleries on Elysium Prime.

"You know," Azshara murmured softly, turning her head to look up at Min-jae as he wrapped his arm around her waist, "when I first threatened to flay your soul across the stars, I honestly thought I was the most dangerous creature in this universe."

Min-jae chuckled richly, pulling her closer until there was no space left between them. "And now?"

Azshara smiled, a playful, wicked glint returning to her glowing crimson eyes as she rested her hand against his chest. "Now I realize I just wandered straight into the best possible trap."

Min-jae grinned, leaning down to capture her lips in a deep, sweet kiss as the Aethel-Prime turned its majestic hull around.
