Global Descent: I Alone Can See Hidden Evolution Paths
Chapter 152: final war [4] combined attackIn the silent, airless expanse of deep space, the clash between the two titans continued to rewrite the laws of physics. Stars shattered into glittering dust, and nebulae were ripped apart, leaving a wake of absolute devastation.
Min-jae gritted his teeth, his muscles straining against the apocalyptic weight of Marcus’s scythe. The Sovereign of the Abyss hovered above him, bearing down with the terrifying, suffocating momentum of a billion years of combat experience.
"Is that the extent of your infinite potential, little godling?" Marcus mocked, his crimson eyes flashing with cruel amusement as he applied more pressure, driving Min-jae further into the debris of a destroyed asteroid belt. "You have the power, you have the bloodline, but you lack the blood-soaked seasoning of an eternal war!"
Min-jae’s golden eyes burned brighter than a supernova. Blood trickled from the corner of his mouth, but a fierce, unbroken smile touched his lips.
"Experience isn’t just about how long you’ve existed, Marcus," Min-jae growled, his voice carrying across the vacuum through pure spiritual resonance. "It’s about who you’re fighting for. You’ve spent eternity alone in the dark. I have an entire universe standing right behind me!"
With a sudden, earth-shattering roar, Min-jae detonated his core.
A localized shockwave of pure, golden-white creation blew Marcus backward, forcing the Sovereign of the Abyss to skid across the wreckage of a dead star. Min-jae flipped in zero gravity, righting himself instantly, his ancient sword humming with a blinding, lethal fury.
Down on the shattered surface of the Origin Point, the foreign gods, the twenty children, and the twelve queens watched the celestial struggle with bated breath. The sky above them was a bleeding canvas of gold and black lightning.
"He’s holding his ground against centuries of ruin," Kaelith said, gripping his Abyssal-blade so tightly his knuckles turned white.
"Holding isn’t enough," Azshara stated coldly, stepping forward. Her crimson eyes blazed with an intensity that rivaled the stars above. She looked around at the twenty children, the eleven other queens, Aurelia, and the battered foreign gods. "Marcus relies on his ancient solitude. He thinks he is fighting a single man."
Liu Xiao stepped up beside her, her emerald eyes glowing as she raised her hands, weaving a complex geometric matrix of prana. "Then we remind him that he is fighting an entire dynasty."
Medusa and Yoo Ji-a flanked them immediately, their weapons igniting with toxic shadow-energy. Across the clearing, all twenty children—sons and daughters alike—stepped into alignment, their unique bloodlines and starlight-fox techniques locking into a single, cohesive frequency.
Even Aurelia and the surviving ancient gods raised their hands, channeling their remaining divine essence into the collective focal point.
"Combine our prana!" Azshara commanded, her voice ringing out with imperial absolute authority. "Channel every drop of our bloodline, every skill, every technique, straight into the core! Let the Sovereign taste the wrath of the Zenith!"
Above them, Marcus lunged forward again, his reality-scythe raised to deliver a finishing blow to Min-jae.
"Die, anomaly!" Marcus roared, descending like a falling black sun.
Min-jae raised his sword to block, but before the blades could meet, a colossal pillar of multi-colored, synchronized energy erupted from the surface of the Origin Point below.
It was a devastating, blinding beam composed of Azshara’s crimson dragon-fire, Xiao’s emerald prana, the children’s starlight-fox fury, the ancient gods’ solar light, and Aurelia’s pure dawn-energy. Thirty-three distinct, supreme power signatures forged into a single, world-ending wave of destruction.
The beam rocketed through the upper atmosphere, bypassing Min-jae and slamming squarely into Marcus.
Marcus stopped dead in mid-air. The sheer, overwhelming kinetic and spiritual force of the combined attack slammed into his chest-plate, instantly cracking the dark-matter armor across his torso.
Marcus let out a roar of absolute shock and outrage. He dug his boots into space, swinging his scythe and channeling the full, unbridled might of the void to push the multi-colored beam back.
"You insolent—!" Marcus choked out, his black aura flaring violently as he tried to nullify the convergence. "You cannot erase the void!"
"You’re not erasing anything today!"
Min-jae vanished in a flash of spatial-step, reappearing directly behind Marcus, right at the focal point of the family’s massive energy wave.
Min-jae slammed both hands onto the back of the beam, pouring his infinite True God core, every drop of his martial technique, and every ounce of his love for his family into the attack.
"Take our entire existence, Marcus!" Min-jae screamed, his golden eyes blazing with blinding solar light. "THIS IS THE ZENITH’S JUDGEMENT!"
The combined force of the all the gods, and thirty-three family members backed by the absolute authority of the True God created a pressure that defied physics.
The multi-colored beam flared from a brilliant flash into a roaring sun. Marcus’s desperate barrier of absolute darkness began to splinter, spiderwebbing outward before shattering completely.
The beam engulfed Marcus entirely.
The explosion was so massive, so profoundly violent, that it tore a permanent, gaping hole in the fabric of the universe itself. A shockwave of pure white-and-gold light swept across the cosmos, instantly neutralizing every remaining Abyssal Reaper on the battlefield and turning the surrounding void into a sea of sparkling stardust.
When the blinding light finally began to fade, a long, agonizing silence settled over the ruined dimension.
In the center of the shattered space, Marcus was sent hurtling backward like a broken doll across millions of miles, crashing heavily into the remnants of a dead moon.
He lay there motionless for a moment before slowly pushing himself up.
The sight of the Sovereign of the Abyss sent a chill through every watcher. His sleek black armor was completely shattered across his chest, exposing raw, bleeding flesh and glowing, corrupted stellar-blood that leaked continuously into the vacuum. His obsidian crown was cracked down the middle, and his raven-black hair was soaked in sweat and blood.
Marcus coughed violently, spitting a mouthful of black blood into space. He looked down at his chest, then raised his eyes toward Min-jae and the massive, glowing family standing united far below.
He didn’t smile. He didn’t laugh. For the first time in a billion years, genuine, unadulterated shock and pain shadowed his features.
"You... you actually..." Marcus wheezed, his voice trembling as he clutched his grievous, bleeding wound.
Min-jae lowered his ancient sword slightly, though his golden aura remained fiercely ignited. He hovered in the void, looking down at the defeated-looking Sovereign, surrounded by the echoes of his wives’ and children’s triumphant breaths.
The war wasn’t completely over yet, but the invincible myth of the Void Sovereign had just been broken.
