Global Descent: I Alone Can See Hidden Evolution Paths
Chapter 93: map of divine flameMin-jae sat on the edge of the large wooden bed inside their private suite at the Crimson Leaf Inn. His face was still a little pink from the chaos at the auction house. He opened his palm, letting the old auctioneer’s spatial ring catch the dim amber light of the room.
"Chae-won, break the seal on this ring," Min-jae said, his voice a steady, calm baritone.
"On it, husband!" Han Chae-won chirped. Her petite frame hopped over to the bed, her long yellow silk gown rustling as she tapped the glowing ring. With a small pop, the ring’s storage space opened, and a real, heavy dark-iron plate fell onto the bedsheets. It wasn’t a paper scroll. It was an ancient stone map pulsing with thick, raw fire-law energy.
All ten wives immediately crowded around the bed, their long lavender, sapphire, and green silk gowns tangling together as they leaned forward to see the map.
Min-jae looked at the golden smoke of his system interface floating above the dark stone plate.
[Sovereign Cultivation Interface Active!]
[Target Decoded: The Real Earth-Core Tablet (Divine Flame Map).]
[Coordinates Isolated: The Hidden Obsidian Abyss, located 20 miles into the deep West Volcanic Range.]
[Danger Warning: The path is guarded by high-stage magma beasts, but refining the flame will grant your family absolute protection from all poisons in the universe!]
"The Abyss..." Shin Ye-rin read the ancient letters out loud, her silver-and-white gown catching the light as she traced the map lines. "That’s the deepest part of the volcanic sector. It’s incredibly dangerous, Min-jae. The air down there is pure poison for ordinary mortals."
"But we aren’t ordinary mortals, sister," Liu Xiao said with a beautiful, confident smile. She leaned her soft, voluptuous body tightly against Min-jae’s left shoulder, her silver-green hair brushing against his cheek. "We are in the Divine Soul Realm. Our internal channels can handle the heat, especially if we cultivate together along the way."
Before Yoo Ji-a could reply, she noticed Cynthia and Elena standing near the back of the room. The twin sisters were holding their hands tightly, their eyes cast down at the floorboards, looking deeply pouted and sad. Their long red and blue silk gowns looked beautiful, but their shoulders were trembling just a little bit.
Min-jae noticed it too. His fixer heart felt a sudden wave of genuine emotion. He knew the twins had been quiet during the long carriage ride and the auction, always squeezed out by the more aggressive girls like Ji-a and Medusa. He slowly stood up from the bed, walked past the crowd of girls, and stopped directly in front of the twins.
"Cynthia. Elena. Come here," Min-jae said gently, his face turning a slight shade of crimson as his old human shyness returned.
"Husband..." Cynthia whispered, her large blue eyes pooling with real, tearful sadness as she looked up into his face. "We traveled so far with you, but everyone else is always taking up your space. We felt like you forgot about us."
"We want to help you get the flame too," Elena murmured, her voice trembling as she hesitantly reached out and grabbed his right hand. "But we also just want you to hold us."
Min-jae didn’t speak. Instead, he smoothly wrapped his strong arms around both of their narrow, tiny waists, pulling their exceptionally soft and heavy curves tightly against his chest simultaneously. A massive, unstoppable crimson flush covered his entire face as his ears burned a bright pink under their close physical touch.
"I don’t forget anyone," Min-jae murmured into their hair, his flustered baritone sending a deep thrill of happiness through the twins. "We are in this loop together. Your strength is my strength. Tomorrow, you two will lead the vanguard line with me."
"Really?!" Cynthia beamed, her face flushing bright red with absolute joy as she suddenly leaned up and kissed his right cheek. Elena gasped happily, her face turning completely pink as she quickly kissed his left cheek, both of them hugging his neck with pure, fanatical adoration.
"Hey! That’s a total foul!" Yoo Ji-a roared loudly, her long black ponytail swaying violently as her violet eyes flashed with an intense, unhinged jealousy. She marched straight over, aggressively grabbing Min-jae’s right arm to pull him back. "You can’t just give them a double hug while my spear loops are waiting! I’m your main vanguard!"
"The Sovereign’s time must be shared equally, shadow spear," Medusa countered with an aristocratic, cold smirk, though her cheeks were also flushed with pure envy as she squeezed her voluptuous body right onto his left side. "Don’t be so greedy."
"Find them! They’re in this room!" a furious, arrogant voice roared from the smoky hallway.
Stepping through the shattered frame was the young Prince of the Blazing Fire Clan, his ruby crown crooked and his face contorted into a mask of pure, humiliated rage. Behind his flank were fifty elite fire guards holding heavy dark-iron broadswords. He had finally realized the scroll he bought for five million spirit coins downstairs was a total fake, and his tracking arrays had led him straight to Min-jae’s door.
"You trash!" the Fire Prince screamed, pointing his sword straight at Min-jae’s face. "You dared to swap the auctioneer’s ring under my nose! Hand over the real Earth-Core Tablet right now, or my guards will turn this entire inn into a graveyard and drag your ten women back to my palace in chains!"
Min-jae didn’t even pull his heavy greatsword from his shoulder. He stood perfectly stationary with his hands casually slid deep inside his trouser pockets, his deadpan black eyes tracking the prince with an entirely unbothered, mocking clarity. He looked over at his wives, a cold, dark, and highly calculated grin slowly spreading across his handsome face.
"Ji-a. Medusa. Cynthia. Elena," Min-jae commanded flatly, his voice carrying an absolute authority that instantly put a stop to the harem’s jealousy. "The prince wants to see our family’s production metrics. Clear the hallway. Don’t leave a single variable behind."
"With pleasure, husband!" Yoo Ji-a purred bloodthirstily.
She lunged forward at supersonic velocity, her lavender silk gown billowing like gentle mist as her mythic spear erupted with an immense wave of solar lightning. Beside her flank, Medusa’s exotic icy-blue eyes flared with a freezing, noble detachment as she unleashed her absolute green gravity field, slamming thirty guards flat onto their faces against the wooden floorboards.
Cynthia and Elena sprinted directly into the gaps, their long red and blue silk gowns twisting together beautifully as their dual cultivation elements combined, launching hundreds of high-frequency energy blades that systematically sliced the Fire Prince’s elite armor plates into harmless shards of scrap metal.
In less than three seconds, the entire fifty-man royal division was completely, flawlessly dismantled into a clean cloud of white experience particles before they could even finish compiling a single counter-salvo. The arrogant Fire Prince didn’t even have time to utter a gasp; the sheer shockwave of their combined immortal energy forcefully vaporized his ruby crown and threw his broken, tattered body violently backward through the hallway window, crashing into the street below in total, breathless humiliation.
Min-jae casually walked over the broken splinters of the door, his hands inside his pockets, his golden eyes flashing with a commanding focus as his level needle clicked forward from the massive shared Exp dump.
"The clutter is handled," Min-jae murmured smoothly, turning his face back toward his ten gorgeous, silk-draped wives who lined up perfectly behind his flank with adoring, fanatical smiles. "Pack the bags, Ye-rin. The Fire Clan knows we have the tablet now. We leave for the Abyss tonight before their main patriarch can even calibrate his defenses."
