Global PvP Tower: I Can Infinitely Merge My Units
Chapter 27: Player Grace FruitThey left the Sundered Reliquary behind and kept moving, the fresh compass Logan had activated the moment they cleared the entrance already pulling hard toward the horizon.
Three more hours went by in about the same fashion as the six before them. Monsters found them, or they found monsters, and either way the fight never lasted long enough to slow the group down.

The compass finally settled as the ground dropped away into a wide valley, green and quiet, sunlight pooling at the bottom of it like it had been collecting there for years.
At the center of the valley stood a single small tree, barely taller than Logan himself, its branches bare except for one piece of fruit hanging heavy and bright at the very top.
```
[ ??? Fruit - Special-rank ]
Requires player touch to inspect.
```
Logan didn’t get more than a few steps into the valley before he saw the bodies.
Twelve of them, scattered across the grass in pieces, some still smoking where whatever had killed them clearly hadn’t stopped at just one hit.
A boy crouched behind a boulder near the tree line, watching all of it happen from what he probably thought was a safe distance.
Something small moved near the base of the tree. Small compared to Juggernaut, anyway. A humanoid panda, barely taller than a child, a length of thick bamboo held loose in both paws like it weighed nothing at all.
```
The boy spotted Logan a half second after Logan spotted him, and whatever color was left in his face drained out of it completely.
His eyes went to Thistle, then Shard, then the rest of them in quick, panicked succession. His whole body seemed to fold in on itself.
"Bro, please!" He was already on his knees, hands up. "Bro, don’t kill me! Let me survive a bit more! I got trash uncommon-rank talent and class, and I just want to live as long as I can so I get a bit more Tier Points before I’m out! Please, bro! I’m begging you!"
Logan looked at him for a long moment, then at the bodies scattered across the grass behind him.
He was a bit speechless, but decided to spare him.
"Alright, I’ll let you go." He kept his voice even. "So, what happened here?"
The boy swallowed hard, still not quite believing he was being allowed to keep breathing. "That thing. It doesn’t leave the tree, not past a hundred meters or so, but inside that range it’s..." He shook his head. "Fast. Stupid fast. And it fights like it’s trained for it, not just strong. My whole team barely touched it before it wiped us."
Logan nodded slowly, filing that away.
"Leave," he said. "If I see you again, you’re eliminated."
The boy didn’t need telling twice. He was up and moving before Logan finished the sentence, cutting a wide path around the panda’s territory and disappearing over the ridge without looking back once.
Logan looked at the panda, small and patient at the base of the tree, and then at the six of them waiting on his word.
’Fast, agile, trained. Immobilize first, then finish it before it gets room to move.’
"Thistle. Pin it."
Thistle didn’t wait. Roots tore up through the grass in a wide ring around the panda’s position, spearing for its legs before it had time to react to the order at all.
It reacted anyway. The panda dropped low, bamboo staff spinning once, and every root that reached for it got cut clean through before it could close.
It didn’t stop there. The panda closed the distance to Thistle in less time than it took Logan to finish the thought, bamboo cracking across bark-armored ribs hard enough to actually stagger something built like a small mountain.
Thistle staggered back a step, more surprised than hurt.
"Zephyr, Tide. Now."
Zephyr dropped out of the sky before the panda finished its follow-up swing, Gravity Snare closing around it in a field that turned every direction at once into down. The panda’s next step never landed anywhere close to where it meant to.
Tide hit the same ground a heartbeat later, Crushing Depths settling over the whole clearing, and whatever speed the panda had left simply wasn’t enough to fight gravity and ocean-floor pressure at the same time.
It went down hard, bamboo staff pinned under its own weight.
Maw didn’t waste the opening.
Gulf Bite closed around the panda before it finished falling, and this time nothing broke free of it.
```
[ Bamboo Sentinel (Special-rank) - Treasure Guardian defeated ]
```
The valley went quiet.
Logan looked at the six of them. One was still testing a bruised set of ribs. The rest looked entirely unbothered. He let himself breathe for a second before turning toward the tree.
The fruit still hung there, bright and untouched, exactly as it had been before any of this started.
Logan reached up and closed his hand around it.
[ Player Grace Fruit ]
> Rank: Special
> Effect: grants 5 unassigned stat points.
’Holy Cow! I actually found this!’ Logan’s eyes were practically stars.
Player Grace Fruit!
Logan quickly ate it whole.
[You have gained 5 unassigned stat points. You have eaten one Player Grace Fruit this match. You can only eat two more if you find them.]
[Match Announcements: 1 Player Grace Fruit is found and eaten. Only two remain.]
The limit was three fruits per match!
He had read in the guides multiple times that players might be able to get them, but sometimes, the fruits are past impossibly hard obstacles, and only truly powerful players can get them.
With his Mythic summons, he just got one!
’I guess panda wasn’t that difficult, but it’s decided. I want two more fruits!’
Logan was about to reach the next treasure compass from his storage ring when he thought of something and took out the dagger instead.
’Let’s track this. I want the Champion Field Boss that drops a skill, and for that, I need three more daggers.’ Logan’s eyes sharply glinted.
As he held the dagger, a crimson arrow appeared in the simple mini-map. There was one other arrow, a blue one, that always pointed towards his base.
"Let’s go."
