Chapter 228: Chapter 202: Attack (Part 2)
Ye Yun stood before the squad, his gaze sweeping over each person. "Everyone, you are heading to October Town to help them fend off the raiders’ attacks."
"We have a deep friendship with October Town, and we must lend them our aid." Ye Yun’s voice was firm and powerful.
"Please, be extremely careful. The raiders are a vicious bunch, and we cannot let our guard down," Ye Yun warned.
"Understood!" the squad answered in unison.
"Good. Let’s move out!" With a wave of Ye Yun’s hand, Bena led the team on the road to October Town.
Under Bena’s leadership, the team from the Shelter moved swiftly across the wasteland, advancing on October Town.
Meanwhile, the situation in October Town was growing more and more critical.
The raiders had completely surrounded the town.
Motorcycles circled the settlement, looking ready to attack at any moment.
A man in a dusty gray cloak, holding a large megaphone, approached the main gate of October Town.
"We don’t need much. We’re just passing through and need to restock on supplies. Then we’ll be on our way."
"But if we can’t get what we want, then we’ll have to take it by our own means."
The raiders’ threat sent a wave of unprecedented panic through the residents of October Town. The mayor stood on the town wall, watching the raiders below with a heart full of anxiety.
Just then, Bena’s team arrived in the nick of time.
By the time the raiders realized they were surrounded, it was too late. They had thought October Town would be an easy target, never imagining they would fall into such a desperate trap.
Small mutated creatures swarmed in from all directions like a tide. Their sharp claws and ferocious attacks instantly threw the raiders into chaos.
These raiders, though usually tyrannical and dominant, found their viciousness to be utterly insignificant in the face of these creatures that knew neither pain nor fear.
The raiders tried to organize an effective resistance, but their lines were quickly shattered by the mutated creatures’ assault. Every attack was met with the screams of raiders and the roars of the mutants, painting a gruesome scene.
At the same time, Bena’s team demonstrated their own strength. They were well-equipped and well-trained, coordinating seamlessly with October Town’s defenders to form a powerful fighting force.
Bena led the charge. In his power armor, he was like an invincible god of war on the battlefield. Every strike landed with the force of a thunderbolt, crushing the raiders.
In the distance, large mutated creatures eyed them menacingly, adding immense psychological pressure on the raiders.
Their massive bodies and staggering power struck unprecedented fear into the raiders. Although these larger mutants had not yet joined the fight, their mere presence was a huge deterrent.
The battle lasted for about an hour, and the raiders’ morale plummeted. They began to scatter and flee, desperate to escape this hellish place.
However, the hunter squads led by Lin Hao and Neil were already prepared. Like ghosts in the night, they silently closed in on the fleeing raiders, eliminating them one by one with precise and deadly attacks.
Ultimately, caught between the Shelter’s team and October Town’s defenders, the raiders were completely routed. Their bodies littered the battlefield, new lost souls in this wasteland. After the battle, Bena led his team into October Town to meet with the mayor and Alex to celebrate their victory.
The mayor expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Bena and the team from the Shelter. "Thank you so much for your help. If you hadn’t arrived when you did, our town would have suffered immense losses."
Bena responded with a smile, "Mr. Mayor, we are allies with October Town. It’s only right that we help each other. Today we defeated the raiders together, and this marks a new Chapter in our friendship."
Alex added gratefully, "Mr. Bena, you not only saved our town but also eliminated those despicable raiders. We will never forget this kindness."

Bena nodded, then asked about the extent of October Town’s losses.
The mayor stated that while the town hadn’t sustained major damage, some residents were injured and needed medical treatment.
「In a room.」
Bena looked at the captive, who was securely tied up, his expression grim.
"Start talking. Where did you come from, and what’s your objective?"
Bena’s tone held an unquestionable authority that made the captive feel an involuntary wave of pressure.
The captive hesitated, but under Bena’s piercing gaze, he finally spoke.
"We’re from a settlement to the east. Our boss heard October Town was rich in resources, so he sent us to ’collect’ some supplies."
"We originally planned to just collect some supplies and leave, but the mayor and his people resisted too fiercely, so we decided to use force."
The captive’s words made Bena frown. He could sense the man wasn’t telling the whole truth.
"Were you really just trying to collect supplies? Or was there another objective?" Bena pressed.
The captive shook his head. "I’m just a regular grunt. How would I know what the bosses are thinking?"
Bena pondered for a moment, then ordered his men to take the captive away for a more thorough interrogation.
He knew this captive probably didn’t know much of the inside story, but the information he provided was still valuable.
Bena returned to the mayor and Alex and told them the results of the interrogation. Hearing his report, both of their expressions turned grave.
"It seems this group of raiders isn’t so simple. They might have had a special objective," the mayor said in a low voice.
Alex nodded in agreement. "We can’t let our guard down. We have to strengthen our defenses to prevent them from striking again."
Bena concurred. "Mr. Mayor, we will help you bolster your defenses and ensure October Town’s safety."
Under Bena’s direction, the team from the Shelter began assisting October Town in strengthening its defenses by building fortifications and setting up traps and alarm systems.
At the same time, Bena also had Lin Hao and Neil lead their hunter squads to patrol the area around October Town, preventing any remaining raider forces from launching another attack.
With the help of the team from the Shelter, October Town’s defensive capabilities were significantly enhanced.
The mayor and Alex expressed their sincere thanks to Bena and the team for their help.
Meanwhile, Ye Yun was monitoring the situation in October Town from within the Shelter.
Through Bena’s reports, he learned about the raiders’ origins and objective, and he began to formulate his next plan.
Ye Yun realized that this group of raiders’ appearance was no accident. They had likely been sent by some other power to test October Town’s strength.
This gave Ye Yun a sense of crisis. He knew the Shelter and October Town had to strengthen their cooperation to face any potential threats together.
Ye Yun opened the System and began to check the Shelter’s various stats, all while considering the next direction for development.
He noticed that the Shelter’s resource reserves and personnel allocation had improved, but they still needed to be strengthened further.
Ye Yun decided, ’The next focus will be on strengthening the Shelter’s defensive capabilities and technological research to improve its overall power.’
At the same time, he also began to consider establishing contact with other settlements to expand the Shelter’s influence.
Under Ye Yun’s planning, the Shelter’s development entered a new phase. And in October Town, having completed their mission to help with defenses, Bena and his team prepared to return.
Before their departure, the mayor and Alex once again thanked Bena and promised to provide the Shelter with a corresponding reward.
Bena smiled and replied that the Shelter and October Town were allies, and it was only natural for them to help each other. Amidst their farewells, Bena led his team on the journey back to the Shelter.
And back in the Shelter, Ye Yun began a new round of planning and deployment, preparing for the Shelter’s future development.
