Chapter 230: Chapter 203: Energy Block

Leo nodded. "Yes, we can’t let them get near the shelter. There are a lot of them, but their abilities are limited. They can’t be integrated into our system."

So, the investigation team took action.

They employed diversionary tactics, creating a ruse to draw the survivors’ attention while subtly herding them away from the shelter.

"Be careful not to harm them," Zhou Mei ordered. "We’re just trying to get them to leave."

The battle erupted. The hunting party members put their skills on full display as the glint of swords, the whistle of crossbow bolts, and the crack of firearms wove a tapestry of chaotic, intense combat.

Though the Corpse Ghosts were ferocious, they were almost powerless against the hunting party’s seamless coordination.

A massive mutated creature charged out from the darkness. It was several times larger than a normal Corpse Ghost, its eyes flashing with red light.

"Watch out!" Lin Hao yelled, swinging his sword as he met its charge. Neil quickly retargeted, aiming for the mutated creature’s vitals.

The mutated creature’s strength was astounding. A single swipe of its claws could easily tear through a squad member’s defenses.

But the hunting party didn’t back down. Instead, they grew more united, circling the mutated creature and looking for an opening to attack.

Lin Hao and Neil continuously directed the fight, their voices echoing across the battlefield, inspiring their squad to hold on.

After a grueling battle, the mutated creature finally collapsed, its roars fading into the night.

When the battle was over, the members of the hunting party were so exhausted they could barely stand, but their eyes were filled with the joy of victory.

They would need to be even more vigilant and more united to protect the shelter and all that they held dear.

As the darkness of night gave way to dawn, the hunting party began clearing the battlefield, preparing to return to the shelter.

Their steps were heavy, but their hearts were filled with hope.
