West of the endless bones, the third Director robes swayed with the wind.

She moved rapidly through the western passage, her black robe fluttering behind her as her footsteps echoed softly against the crimson ground filled with bones.

Unlike the previous bones, this one was far more disturbing.

Massive bones rose from both sides of the path, towering several meters above her head and stretching endlessly into the distance.

Some were long and curved like gigantic ribs.

Others resembled massive vertebrae stacked together to form unnatural walls.

There were even enormous skulls embedded between the bones, their empty eye sockets staring down at her as she passed.

Yet the woman did not slow down.

Instead, her footsteps became even faster.

Her expression was filled with confidence, and a savage cunning smile slowly appeared across her lips.

’That bastard thought he could use me...’ The thought caused an evil grin to spread across her face.

She had never trusted the second Director.

From the moment they escaped together, she had already begun calculating how to use him.

When they reached the dangerous section of the endless bone, she deliberately allowed him to move ahead.

She knew exactly what was waiting there.

And when the creature emerged from beneath the bones, she had used him as bait.

The man had probably believed he was simply faster than her and had never realized that she had deliberately abandoned him.

The graveyard of bones seemed to be empty with only bones but she knew better. There were deadly creatures among the bones and she only needed to lead the fool by the nose toward one of them.

Her lips slowly curled upward.

She even licked her lips at the thought.

’What a fool.’ She chuckled softly.

’He thought we were escaping together.’ Her eyes narrowed with amusement.

’In the end, he became nothing more than another bait.’

She had no guilt.

The deaths of the other members of the guild meant nothing to her.

Even the other Directors were nothing more than competitors who happened to share the same temporary goal.

If sacrificing them allowed her to survive, she would do it without hesitation.

After all, survival was the only rule that truly mattered inside the abyss.

’Now, no one can reveal the secret.’

Her face filled with confidence as she thought about what lay ahead.

Her pace became faster as excitement slowly replaced the tension she had carried since leaving the hideout.

She had escaped.

She had survived the attack.

And most importantly, she had reached the place. The only place that matters.

The promise land.

At least, that was what she believed.

The passage continued for several more minutes before the enormous bones gradually became less frequent.

Then suddenly, the path opened.

Instantly, the woman stopped and her eyes widened slightly.

Before her stretched a massive river.

But this was not water.

It was blood.

Blood.

An endless river of crimson blood stretched across the horizon, its surface strangely calm despite the enormous volume flowing through the ancient land.

There were no waves.

No splashing.

No sound of rushing water— blood.

The blood simply moved.

Slowly.

Silently.

Almost unnaturally.

A thick crimson mist hovered above the surface, while an intense metallic smell filled the air.

The woman stood at the edge of the blood river and stared ahead. For the first time since leaving the hideout, her expression became slightly solemn.

She could feel it.

Power.

An unimaginable amount of power was buried beneath the calm surface of the blood river.

Her eyes slowly moved toward the center.

There, standing in the middle of the endless crimson river, was a tower.

The structure stood approximately twenty meters tall, rising from the blood like an ancient monument that had existed since the beginning of the world.

Its surface was constructed from unknown dark stones that seemed to absorb the faint light surrounding them.

Ancient markings covered every inch of the tower.

Some resembled strange characters.

Others looked like mysterious symbols.

There were even markings that appeared almost like ancient blood formations.

The woman stared at them with fascination.

Even from this distance, she could feel the terrifying power radiating from the tower.

It did not feel like ordinary energy.

It felt ancient.

Deep.

And incomprehensibly vast.

The tower seemed to descend into the depths of the blood river rather than simply standing upon its surface.

Its foundation disappeared beneath the crimson liquid, extending into depths that could not be seen.

It was almost as though the tower had emerged from somewhere beneath the world itself.

The woman swallowed hard.

Her previous confidence briefly faltered.

Even after everything she had witnessed, standing before this tower made her instinctively feel insignificant.

"What exactly is this place?" She whispered.

No answer came.

Only the calm movement of the blood river greeted her.

She stared at the tower for several seconds before slowly releasing the breath she had been unconsciously holding.

A relieved smile appeared on her face.

"Finally."

Her voice carried a mixture of relief, excitement, and greed.

She stepped forward.

The moment her foot touched the blood river, a faint ripple spread across the crimson surface.

But she did not sink.

Instead, a dark stone suddenly emerged from beneath the blood directly in front of her.

She placed her foot upon it.

Then another stone appeared several meters ahead.

She stepped onto it.

A path slowly formed across the blood river, each floating stone emerging moments before her foot reached it.

The woman followed the mysterious path without hesitation. Her eyes remained fixed on the ancient tower in the distance.

With every step, the ancient power radiating from the structure became stronger.

The blood beneath her feet remained perfectly calm.

Many wondered what their Holy Son was up to. Why with his terrifying strength and choose not to ascend to the third floor.

This was the answer.

Why chase the miniscule power the abyss had to offers when you can take them all?

And now, she was going to become one of them.

She was going to be reborn and experience the power to command both the abyss and surface world.
