Speaking of enemies, there were still plenty of them inside the clan.
Now that he was done here, he could go help the others before the situation became any worse.
Caius turned around, ready to leave.
But the moment he took a step, a sudden vision struck him.
His body froze.
His surroundings disappeared from his awareness as the vision forced itself into his mind.
He saw an undead orc moving toward him.
Then the scene changed.
He saw Raghul.
The necromancer stood before Granny Flogga, his fist buried deep in her chest before he pulled it free and left her body collapsing lifelessly to the ground.
Then he saw the other goblins around her.
One after another, they fell.
Their bodies were later raised again, twisted into the abominations that served Raghul.
Caius's eyes widened.
The vision vanished as quickly as it had appeared, and he snapped back to reality, his breathing slightly heavier than before.
"Granny Flogga..."
She was in danger.
"No."
If that vision was showing him something that was about to happen, then she wasn't merely in danger. She would be.
And if he didn't act quickly, Raghul would kill her and everyone else inside that workshop.
Caius's expression hardened.
He had to get to her as soon as possible.
There was no time to waste.
He moved, leaping from building to building as he headed toward the workshop.
His feet barely touched the rooftops before he pushed off again, using the height of each building to maintain his momentum while avoiding the chaos that had spread across the streets below.
From up there, he could see goblins scrambling through the settlement, desperately trying to escape the invading orcs.
Fortunately, they weren't completely defenseless.
The Inferno Wolves Eli had adopted into the clan were helping them.
The wolves carried goblins on their backs, sprinting through the settlement toward the location of the shelter while using their superior speed to stay ahead of the pursuing enemies.
Caius glanced to the side and spotted the alpha.
She was directing the pups—which had grown noticeably larger since they first arrived—keeping them organized despite the chaos around them and instructing them to dive into the shadows between buildings instead of running directly through the open streets where they could easily be spotted.
Caius couldn't help but stare for a moment.
Earlier, he had questioned whether bringing the wolves into the clan had actually been worth it. Back then, all they seemed to do was steal food, cause a ruckus, and spend their time playing around as though the entire settlement belonged to them.
Now, however, they were proving their worth.
They weren't merely animals that Eli had decided to keep around.
They were protecting the goblins.
Caius turned away, refocusing his attention on the workshop and, more importantly, on the vision he had just seen.
Raghul had made his appearance.
Of course he had.
Raghul wasn't the kind of enemy who would shy away from chaos. If anything, he thrived in it.
The more chaotic the battlefield became, the easier it was for someone like him to move unnoticed, manipulate the situation, and strike at whatever mattered most.
And right now, that target was Flogga.
Caius balled his fist and increased his pace as he made his way toward Flogga's workshop, but he hadn't gone very far before he noticed several figures pursuing him from behind.
Numerous orcs were chasing him, exactly as he had seen in his vision. Caius clicked his teeth in annoyance as he glanced over his shoulder and took a closer look at them.
They weren't ordinary orcs.
They were undead. Raghul's undead.
Their bodies moved with the unnatural coordination of creatures that no longer cared about pain, fatigue, or self-preservation. They pursued Caius without the slightest concern for the destruction they caused along the way, smashing through buildings and tearing apart anything that happened to stand between them and their target.
Walls collapsed behind them.
Wooden structures splintered beneath their weight.
Even goblins scrambling through the streets were forced to flee as the undead orcs charged through their path.
Caius clicked his teeth in annoyance.
As much as he wanted to ignore them and head straight for Raghul before the necromancer could kill Flogga, he couldn't simply leave these things behind him.
If he continued running, they would follow.
And that meant he'd be bringing more enemies toward the goblins he wanted to save, which would only increase the casualties and destruction. Because of that, he was going to have to deal with them before heading to Granny Flogga.
Caius stopped and turned around.
The first undead orc approached, charging toward him with enough force to shake the ground beneath its feet. The moment it got within range, it raised its massive arm, ready to crush him.
But Caius didn't move.
Instead, he activated the gravity skill he had just obtained from Evangel.
A circular mana field suddenly appeared around the two of them, its boundary spreading across the ground as the air within it seemed to become heavier.
Then the gravity increased.
Four times.
The sudden increase was enough to overwhelm the undead orc's body. Its knees buckled beneath the pressure before its entire frame was driven into the ground, the force crushing its bones and flesh against the earth.
Caius, unaffected by its effect, watched without expression.
But the undead wasn't finished.
Its body began to reform.
The crushed flesh began twisting back into shape almost immediately, broken bones pulling themselves together as Raghul's necromantic mana flowed through the corpse and reconstructed it, restoring the undead orc's body piece by piece.
Caius watched the process for only a moment before his sword suddenly began glowing with a strange energy. He swung without hesitation, the blade cutting through the reforming body and severing the invisible connection between the corpse and the mana sustaining it.
The effect was immediate.
The undead orc's body stopped regenerating halfway through the process, the flesh that had been pulling itself together losing its unnatural movement as the corpse collapsed heavily back onto the ground.
Caius exhaled.
With a single swing, his blade had just severed the corpse's connection to Raghul's mana.
He was capable of doing that even before he had lost his innate skill, [Architect Tyranny]. In fact, that power was one of the reasons Raghul had once served under him in the first place.
That combination had given Raghul every reason to fear him.
But with his innate skill gone, Raghul no longer had that same fear.
He probably thought Caius had become weaker.
But he would be mistaken if he thought Caius was helpless without his domain.
Losing [Architect Tyranny] had taken away one of his greatest advantages, but it hadn't taken away his combat ability or the experience he had accumulated through countless battles, not to mention all the new skills he had gained since losing his innate skill.
The first orc was down. But there were still more coming.
Caius tightened his grip around his sword and glanced toward the workshop in the distance.
He had to hurry.
Every second he spent here was another second Raghul had to reach Granny Flogga.
