"Thank you for the compliment." The woman smiled faintly, then introduced herself.
"My name is Green Bamboo, and I am one of the guardians of this Grotto-Heaven."
Adam narrowed his eyes slightly and smiled. "Miss Green Bamboo, as far as I know, this isn’t the time for you to appear, is it?"
The smile on the white-clad woman’s face instantly froze, she looked at Adam, a flash of surprise and wariness in her eyes.
"You... how do you know?" Her tone trembled slightly, clearly frightened by Adam’s words.
Adam smiled faintly, not answering directly, but instead laughing in reply. "Go back, don’t think about anything else, what is meant to come will come!"
Green Bamboo’s face grew even paler, she stared intently at Adam as if trying to see through his thoughts.
"You... who exactly are you? How do you know so many things?" Her voice trembled, obviously highly unsettled.
Seeing her nervous demeanor, Adam found it somewhat amusing, he still didn’t answer directly, simply stating calmly, "You don’t need to be tense, I harbor no ill will toward you, I came to this Grotto-Heaven merely to seek opportunities."
He paused. "As for the things I know, that is because I possess some special methods."
A flash of doubt and curiosity crossed Green Bamboo’s eyes, she looked at Adam, wanting to discern some clue from his face, but could read absolutely nothing.
Adam didn’t mind her gaze, he turned to look at the water’s surface and said indifferently, "This might very well be the final Bamboo Pear Conflict, do your best!"
The white-clad woman trembled all over, her large, watery eyes looking at Adam with utter despair. "Young Master, save me, I beg you! I don’t want to dissipate! I received news that Pear Blossom used a secret method to contact an outside force, it’s not fair!"
"When the Grotto-Heaven opened, I believe Young Master heard that grand voice, I was the one who faked it! We really don’t want to lose!" She fell to her knees immediately after speaking.
This man knew so many deep secrets, he could definitely save her.
"You don’t need to worry about that, the force they contacted has already been driven away by me, you two will still have a fair duel!"
Adam finally understood why she had appeared ahead of time.
Every time the Bamboo Pear Secret Realm opened, Green Bamboo and Pear Blossom would engage in a battle for control of the Grotto-Heaven.
The loser would have their nutrients absorbed by the victor for a thousand years, until the next Heaven and Earth Upheaval began.
The reason the Azure Leaf Sect chased everyone away was likely to eliminate unstable variables and help Pear Blossom emerge victorious.
A glimmer of disbelief flashed in Green Bamboo’s eyes, she looked up at Adam as if looking at a savior.
"Young Master, is what you said true? Were they really driven away?" Her voice carried trembling anticipation.
Adam nodded with a smile. "Of course, I wouldn’t lie to you, ho back in peace and wait for the next time the Grotto-Heaven opens."
A surge of gratitude swelled in Green Bamboo’s heart, she took a deep look at Adam, then turned and left, her figure slowly disappeared into the bamboo grove.
Adam watched her retreating back and shook his head slightly.
She had been forced to come out early to seek allies, no matter who or what you are, life is hard.
The true opportunity of the Bamboo Pear Grotto-Heaven lay in the aftermath, after the victor was decided.
The losing side would release all the nutrients it had absorbed over long, endless years.
At that time, the heavens and earth would be filled with the purest life force, regardless of what kind of living being one was, absorbing it would offer tremendous benefits.
This was Adam’s purpose for this trip.
He turned to Cecilia, smiled faintly, and said, "Let’s continue strolling."
Cecilia nodded, and the two left the stream together.
Meanwhile, on the other side.
Inside the Pear Blossom Manor, a woman dressed entirely in white, wearing pear blossoms in her hair, was looking out with desperate anticipation.
Why aren’t they here yet? The Grotto-Heaven has been open for so long! What is going on with the Azure Leaf Sect? Didn’t they say they wouldn’t let rogue cultivators in? Why have so many unrelated people appeared?
The woman was named Pear Blossom, the other guardian of the Bamboo Pear Grotto-Heaven, her features were beautiful and pristine, her temperament noble and elegant, she was like a blooming pear blossom, exuding a faint, refreshing fragrance.
At this moment, however, her mood was exceptionally anxious, she had been waiting for the Azure Leaf Sect to arrive, hoping to rely on their strength to secure victory in this conflict, yet a long time had passed, and they still had not appeared.

After walking for a long time, she still hadn’t found a single trace of them, instead, she ran into a master and servant pair.
Pear Blossom looked at Adam, wariness and confusion flashing in her eyes, she hadn’t sensed their presence at all and only noticed them when she saw them directly, she could feel the powerful aura and unfathomable strength radiating from Adam, forcing her to remain on high alert.
Adam didn’t show any hostility toward Pear Blossom, however, he was merely a bit surprised, not expecting to run into the other guardian here, but he quickly figured out the reason.
