Adam smiled faintly. Instead of answering directly, he asked, "Are you waiting for the Azure Leaf Sect?"
Pear Blossom nodded, her brows furrowed tight, she was clearly surprised by his words.
Adam continued. "They won’t be coming because I have already driven them away."
Pear Blossom’s expression changed, she stared intently at Adam, as if trying to see through his thoughts.
"Who are you? Why did you do that?" Her voice carried a hint of tension and wariness.
Seeing her nervous demeanor, Adam found it somewhat amusing, he didn’t answer directly, but turned to look at the distant horizon.
"The Grotto-Heaven conflict is a contest between the two of you, why drag other factions into it? That isn’t fair!" His voice carried a trace of indifference and composure.
A flash of shock crossed Pear Blossom’s eyes. "Are you on Green Bamboo’s side?"
To know about the Bamboo Pear conflict and to drive away her helpers! He had to be on the opposing side! She understood what Adam meant, and why the Azure Leaf Sect hadn’t shown up.
Adam was taken aback, he had overplayed the mysterious expert act.
"I’m not, the people of the Azure Leaf Sect simply offended me..." Adam briefly explained what had happened.
"That’s how it is, don’t worry, I won’t interfere in the conflict between you two."
Pear Blossom’s feelings were incredibly complicated, she had originally thought the Azure Leaf Sect would be her solid backing, never expecting them to be chased off by this man.
For her, this was undoubtedly a massive blow.
