After saying that, she closed her eyes, and her graceful figure transformed back into a pear tree.
Then it began to disintegrate, countless streams of pinkish-white spiritual energy radiated from her body as her physical form continuously shrank.
Just like her, all the other pear trees in the Bamboo Pear Grotto-Heaven also began to break down and dissolve.
Terrifying amounts of spiritual energy and rich nutrients swept across the entire Grotto-Heaven, and the green bamboos wildly began absorbing it all.
Adam and Cecilia didn’t hold back either, this was exactly the moment they had been waiting for.
The spiritual energy surged violently, forming a massive storm within the Grotto-Heaven that swallowed everything in its path.
This was no ordinary spiritual energy, it was brimming with pure life force, washing over Adam and Cecilia and making them feel incomparably comfortable, as if they had returned to their mother’s womb.

Adam looked out at the green bamboos and noticed they had completely overwhelmed the pear trees, hardly a trace of pear blossoms could be seen anywhere, but the pear trees hadn’t died.
They had turned into tiny saplings, growing slowly beneath the shadows of the green bamboo.
The green bamboos had become increasingly translucent and vibrantly verdant, Green Bamboo herself, as the guardian, had shot straight up into the clouds, her entire body looking as if carved from flawless jade, many fresh bamboo shoots had sprouted around her.
"Wait a moment, let me see if I can ask for a few bamboo shoots!" A sudden craving struck Adam, and he really wanted to pick a few to take back and taste, they would absolutely be a rare delicacy.
Just as he took a step forward, intending to find Green Bamboo, it happened.
An overwhelmingly massive coercion descended from above, and the sky over the Grotto-Heaven lit up with blinding, multicolored divine light.
Every single hair on Adam’s body stood on end.

"We’re leaving right now!" Adam didn’t dare stick around, he didn’t care why the Heavenly Court was here.

All the spirit bamboos taller than a meter were violently uprooted and sucked into the sky, including those newly sprouted bamboo shoots.
Up in the sky, the magnificent multicolored light suddenly shifted into a supremely evil, purple-black glow, even more terrifying was what appeared beneath it.
A gigantic, blood-soaked maw filled with jagged fangs materialized across the heavens, practically covering half the sky, incessantly devouring the spiritual bamboos and the life-force-rich spiritual energy from the pear trees.
Adam tried to see who the owner of that giant maw was, but he was teleported away in the blink of an eye.
Master and servant reappeared in the mountains outside the Grotto-Heaven, but they didn’t linger for a single second.
They pulled out two more formation discs and began teleporting continuously, jumping further and further away, only when they were absolutely certain there was no danger did they destroy their tracks.
After altering their appearances and hiding out in a small town, they finally breathed a heavy sigh of relief.
It wasn’t that they were cowardly, but the scene they had witnessed was simply too shocking, that colossal, blood-soaked maw looked like it could devour the entire world, striking primal fear into anyone’s heart, both understood clearly that it was not an entity they could even dream of resisting.
"Young Master, what was that? The Demon Race? Why would there be something so terrifying?" Cecilia asked, still visibly shaken as she took a sip of tea to calm her nerves.
"I don’t know, but I know it’s absolutely not something normal." Adam also took a sip of tea, a grave expression settling over his face.
"Moreover, right before that thing appeared, the sky was completely filled with the aura of the Heavenly Court, this isn’t right, it’s extremely not right, what exactly is going on with the Heavenly Court?"
Before, Adam had only suspected something was wrong with the Heavenly Court, but now, he was almost completely certain of it, he desperately wanted to pull out the Dragon-Tiger Jade Auspicious Scepter and ask her what was going on.
But he didn’t dare, terrified that the Heavenly Court might still be able to lock onto his aura through the artifact.
