Adam was slightly startled, he hadn’t expected the Book Saint to suddenly ask him for a favor.
He immediately replied, "Senior Book Saint, please name it, as long as it is within my power, I will do my absolute best."
The Book Saint smiled. "That place is somewhat special, only those below the Saint Realm can enter, and it is fraught with danger, even a Deity Realm expert could perish there, so you have the right to refuse."
He continued, "However, after turning it over in my mind, you remain the best candidate, since we last met, you’ve grown even stronger, I hope you can help me find that item, besides, it won’t be without benefits for you, because a Supreme Great Emperor once lived there."
Adam furrowed his brows, he knew this task wouldn’t be easy, and a helpless smile touched the corner of his mouth.
"Senior Book Saint, with the world on the verge of collapse, can I really refuse?"
"And you already knew that once you laid this task out, I wouldn’t turn it down."
"I can agree to it, but you have to give me something to protect my life with."
Adam wasn’t reckless, his strength was formidable, but facing unknown dangers still required a safety net.
Hearing this, the Book Saint smiled faintly, a jade slip materialized in his hand, which he passed to Adam.
"This is the detailed map of the secret realm along with some precautions, keep it safe, as for a life-saving item, naturally, I won’t be stingy."
He flicked his finger, a beam of light sank into Adam’s body, a powerful surge of energy moved within him, and then a golden talisman appeared in his hand.
"This is?" He looked at the talisman with surprise.
The Book Saint explained, "This is a protective talisman I refined using my own Saintly power, it can block a fatal attack at a critical moment, with it, you should rest a lot easier."
Adam nodded, knowing the inestimable value of this talisman.
"Many thanks, Senior!" He cupped his fists and expressed his gratitude solemnly.
The Book Saint waved his hand. "No need for formalities, there’s no need for thanks between you and me, now, I am going to open the passage to the secret realm, prepare yourself."
With that, he formed hand seals with both hands and chanted incantations under his breath.
Suddenly, a rift cracked open in the sky above Mount Dragonpeak, and a powerful suction force emanated from it.
No fear was visible in the eyes of Adam and Cecilia.
A flash of approval crossed the Book Saint’s eyes. "That item is an Imperial Artifact, good luck to you both."
Both Adam and Cecilia were inwardly shocked.
An Imperial Artifact! The weapon of a Supreme Great Emperor! It was said that every Imperial Artifact was painstakingly nurtured by a Great Emperor, each one was exceedingly powerful, possessing even half the might of a Supreme Great Emperor.
Such a formidable weapon, and they expected two people who hadn’t reached the Saint Realm to retrieve it? Could they actually pull it off?
The Book Saint didn’t give them time to think, under the watchful eyes of the crowd on Mount Dragonpeak, Adam and Cecilia flashed forward and vanished into that rift.
The rift slowly closed, and peace returned to Mount Dragonpeak.
"Book Saint, the auras of those two felt familiar, who were they? And where did you send them?" The Demon Lord narrowed his eyes and asked.
"Hahahaha, just two of my juniors, maybe they carry a trace of my aura, nothing special, I suddenly had some business, so I helped shorten the journey for them."
The Book Saint laughed heartily, choosing not to reveal that they were searching for an Imperial Artifact, this was one of his ultimate trump cards.
Passing through the rift, Adam and Cecilia found themselves in an unfamiliar environment.
It was extremely picturesque, green vegetation stretched in every direction, lush trees crowded the landscape, and dense spiritual energy suffused the surroundings, making even the air taste faintly sweet.
Yet within this tranquil land, an undercurrent of killing intent faintly pervaded.
"Is this still the Mysterious Yellow Great World?" Cecilia looked around and asked in a low voice.
"Unclear, but probably not, be careful, we haven’t entered the secret realm yet." Adam shook his head.
Although the environment brimmed with spiritual energy, Adam couldn’t sense the aura of a single living creature, this was clearly a small, isolated world used for secluded cultivation.
Just as they were observing their surroundings, a melodious bell chime suddenly rang out from afar, echoing throughout the space.
The toll was hauntingly resonant, as if it could pierce straight through a person’s soul, causing one to involuntarily become intoxicated by it, it carried a bizarre sensation that pricked and stung the soul.
Adam and Cecilia exchanged glances, solemnity flashing in both their eyes, this bell chime was anything but ordinary, it was bound to be connected to this small world.
"Young Master, what do you think this bell toll is?" Cecilia asked softly, a hint of trembling in her voice.
Adam shook his head. "I don’t know, but it certainly isn’t a good sign, we must be careful."
As the chimes continued, the surrounding spiritual energy began to grow violent, as if pulled by some unseen force.
Right then, a massive light gate appeared ahead of them, radiant light flashed within, as if it led to another world.
"That should be the entrance to the secret realm." Adam stared intently at the light gate and said slowly.
The Book Saint hadn’t told them the method to enter, meaning the entrance should be easy to access, the difficult part was arriving in this world and the dangers waiting inside.
Cecilia nodded. "Let’s head over, but we must be extremely careful."
The two exchanged a look, their figures flashing as they sped toward the light gate.
The moment they crossed through, their vision blurred, and they arrived in an entirely new world.
This world was completely different from the outside, nine massive suns hung in the sky, and the vegetation on the ground radiated a golden glow, within this brilliantly golden world, a towering mountain range rose from the earth, piercing straight into the clouds.
"Is this the secret realm?" Cecilia exclaimed in wonder.
Adam didn’t answer, his gaze was locked tightly onto that mountain range, because he could sense a powerful aura pulsating from within it.
"Let’s go take a look." Adam took a deep breath, grasped Cecilia’s hand, and flew toward the mountain range.
