Just as they placed one foot into the vortex and the spatial suction took hold, the Evil God’s gigantic mouth snapped open, unleashing a terrifying suction force of its own.
Adam and the others felt their bodies go light, completely unable to resist, they were slowly dragged toward the gaping maw.
"Damn it, it can actually interfere with the Book Saint’s teleportation jade slip!" Adam’s face darkened, he had not expected the Evil God to be this powerful.
"Young Master, what do we do?" Cecilia panicked, they were truly caught between a rock and a hard place.
"We’ll just have to fight it out!"
A flash of resolve appeared in Adam’s eyes, he took a deep breath, and the spiritual energy within his body began to surge.
Right at that moment, the little boy spoke up. "Wait, let me handle this, your strength isn’t nearly enough right now."
Adam and Cecilia paused and looked at the little boy, realizing he made sense, they pulled back and looked at him with expectant expressions.
The little boy’s mouth twitched, were they seriously just going to let him fight alone?
He took a deep breath and his hands rapidly formed seals.
A bizarre power began to radiate from his body, he began chanting under his breath, as if communicating with some unseen entity.
Adam and Cecilia exchanged a glance, both seeing anticipation in the other’s eyes, this was an Imperial Artifact, rumor had it that even fighting independently, an Imperial Artifact possessed half the strength of a Great Emperor, this made them highly anticipate the little boy’s performance.
Soon, the light from the little boy grew increasingly intense, accompanied by a formidable aura, the Evil God’s giant maw seemed to sense this, the mouth opened wider, and the suction force multiplied.
The little boy remained unaffected, he continued chanting, the light around him growing more blinding.
Finally, he let out a fierce shout and thrust both hands forward, a dazzling glazed pagoda shot forth, blasting straight toward the giant mouth.
Boom!
A deafening explosion echoed through heaven and earth, the vortex generated by the Evil God’s suction was instantly shattered by the glazed pagoda, but the giant mouth itself sustained no damage.
And the Evil God seemed to feel provoked.
A furious roar cascaded from the sky, and streaks of black deathly light began condensing within the terrifying maw, the entire space trembled violently, looking as if it would shatter at any second, this attack was even stronger than the suction from before.
Adam and Cecilia immediately cast their gazes back to the little boy, their eyes seemed to scream, hurry up and make your move.
The little boy’s face twitched, he had just been freed, why did he have to deal with a mess this huge right away?
"Hey, is that portal still usable? I won’t be able to hold out long! I’ve been locked up for thousands of years, I’m incredibly weak right now!" The little boy yelled as he re-condensed the glazed pagoda.
Adam hastily looked over at the passage formed by the jade slip, it had been distorted and twisted out of shape by the Evil God’s power, although its foundation remained and crossing through was still possible, it was now incredibly dangerous, with good luck, they might get teleported to an unknown location, with bad luck, they would be shredded to pieces by spatial turbulence.
Brain, torso, arms, and legs, each part teleporting on its own to completely different dimensions, it would make for a wildly spectacular scene.
"I can repair it, but I need time!" Adam said.
"Then hurry up!" The little boy urged.
Right at that moment, the black deathly light finished condensing and shot violently toward them.
"Look out!" The little boy roared, he threw out the incompletely formed glazed pagoda and grabbed Cecilia and Adam, dragging them out of the way.
The moment the pagoda collided with the black deathly light, it was completely obliterated, the black light slammed into their previous position, blasting out a massive crater.
Although all three dodged, the shockwave alone caused the vitality and blood within their bodies to churn violently.
So powerful.
A heavy look flashed in Adam’s eyes, the Evil God’s strength far exceeded their imagination.
"Young Master, we need to leave as soon as possible!" Cecilia said, face pale, she had felt the sheer terror of that power, if the little boy had not acted in time, they would likely be doomed.
Adam nodded, he fully understood how perilous their situation was.
"Go repair the portal, I’ll hold it off!" As the little boy spoke, his figure shifted, transforming into an exquisitely crafted glazed pagoda that flew directly above them.
Adam wasted no time and immediately began repairing the portal.
The Evil God clearly had no intention of giving them a chance, black deathly light gathered in the sky once more, its power even greater than before.
Within the pagoda, the little boy’s expression turned grave, he knew this attack would be devastating, he had not expected the Evil God to be this overwhelmingly powerful, even going all out, he feared he could only hold it off briefly.
Meanwhile, Adam was pouring all his concentration into the repair, if interrupted, all three would be pushed into an absolute dead end.
"Young Master, is there anything I can do to help?" Cecilia could not help but ask, sensing the severity of the situation.
Adam did not reply, he was fully absorbed in the repair, a layer of sweat beading on his forehead, he knew every single second was critical.
In the sky, the black deathly light finished condensing and shot toward the glazed pagoda.
Boom!
The pagoda was struck by the black light, its entire body trembled violently, rhe little boy felt a terrifying force crash into him, making it hard to even breathe, vut he did not give up, gritting his teeth, he held on, using every ounce of strength to resist the impact.
If he had been given time to recuperate and recover his full strength, fighting a mere fraction of this Evil God would have been simple, but they just did not have the time.
Right at that moment, the Evil God seemed to notice Adam’s actions, its giant mouth opened once more, unleashing another terrifying suction force, Adam felt his body go weightless, almost getting sucked right in.
The glazed pagoda hurriedly flared with divine light, blocking the suction force, allowing Adam to stabilize his stance.
