"Olympus."
The Master of the Universe’s Pantheon called out its name, and when its sentience responded, he issued an order through his Authority as the Ruler of Olympus.
"Confirm the status of the Universal Threat."
[Confirming,] a mechanical voice echoed within Zeus’ mind as he silently stared at the lightning storm ravaging everything below him.
After a few seconds, the voice sounded again.
[Confirmed direct hit on target.
No defensive measures detected.
No spatial activity detected.
No foreign Authority interventions detected.
Fabric of Reality Stability confirmed.
Space-time continuum Stability confirmed.]
After listing all those parameters, the universe finally delivered the conclusion Zeus wanted to hear.
[Confirmed. Target has been eliminated without a trace.]
However, even after hearing the conclusion he wanted, Zeus didn’t show satisfaction. He simply stared down at the lightning storm below before muttering, "He noticed me."
[Pardon?] the sentience of the universe asked.
"He noticed me," Zeus repeated. "At the very last moment, he looked up.
I attacked with the speed and force I’d use against a high-rank god, and he still noticed me."
Silence followed his words for a moment before Zeus looked across the range of the lightning storm and muttered, "The collateral damage is lower than I expected. Most of my attack was absorbed."
He exhaled softly before continuing.
"It really is as Alkosh said. If his Temporal Authority hadn’t been disabled with the veil created using Prometheus, then he might’ve been able to foresee my arrival and react even faster.
And with collateral damage at this level, his strength was higher than my estimations."
That observation only further confirmed to Zeus that he’d made the correct decision and eliminated the threat before it could fully mature.
He glanced toward the direction of the Underworld before speaking once more.
"Now then, let’s handle—"
[Incoming!]
"Huh?"
Zeus turned toward the sudden warning, only for everything around him to be swallowed by bright crimson destruction.
The violent explosion erased entire stretches of space, and within that expanding devastation, a fist shot through and smashed into Zeus’s face with enough force to rupture the surrounding fabric of space-time itself.
The impact blasted him out of the crimson explosion like a cannon shot, space cracking apart as his body shot through the galaxy at terrifying speed before smashing into the surface of a distant planet with enough force to crack the world from one side to the other.
Continents ruptured, and oceans burst outward into space before vaporising under the force of the collision as Zeus skipped across the surface before finally digging into a mountain range.
He coughed as he rose back to his feet amidst the collapsing remains of the planet, chunks of molten rock falling from his body, and then he felt something drip downward.
His eyes lowered, and he saw a drop of golden blood fall from his lips onto his open palm.
For a moment, he simply stared at it.
Then the sound of rumbling thunder echoed across the crumbling world as azure lightning erupted from Zeus’ body with catastrophic force, the already dispersing atmosphere splitting apart under the pressure of his divinity.
And in that same instant, the crimson meteor descending from the distant reaches of space crashed into the planet, delivering the final impact that tore it apart.
A shockwave erupted outward, annihilating what remained of the planet into cosmic dust, while Zeus blocked the fist aimed straight for his face with his raised arm, only for another fist to slam into the side of his face with enough force to bend the surrounding space around the impact before a leg slammed into his stomach and blasted him backwards through space.
The raging Cattleya immediately closed the distance, her crimson eyes glowing with violent fury while destructive aether poured from her body in such overwhelming density that the surrounding fabric of space collapsed, and time itself warped under the pressure radiating from her.
gods across distant galaxies felt the fluctuations from where they were and turned toward the source in alarm, dread rising in their hearts at the existential fear they felt from the energy.
Entire regions of space ruptured everywhere Cattleya passed as she charged after Zeus again, her body cloaked in crimson destruction powerful enough to erase entire gravitational systems of stars from existence if it was released outward.
All that power was condensed in the fist that shot toward Zeus, but the god King dodged the blow with ease and retaliated in the same second, divine lightning erupting around his body before condensing around his fist as he swung directly toward her face.
The punch connected, the impact cracking bones beneath her skin and blasting blood from her lips, violent lightning spreading across her body in destructive arcs.
However, Cattleya ignored it all, her expression not changing in the slightest as she immediately slammed her other fist into Zeus’ ribs hard enough to produce a shockwave that tore through nearby stars.
Zeus’ eyes darkened as more powerful lightning erupted from him, many thunderbolts materialising around his body before descending toward her simultaneously.
The explosions on impact swallowed entire stretches of space, but amidst that catastrophic storm of lightning, a crimson figure burst straight through the destruction and appeared directly in front of Zeus again.
Blood ran down Cattleya’s body, parts of her flesh torn apart by the lightning and several bones in her arm were visibly cracked, but none of it slowed her down even slightly as she slammed her fist into Zeus’ face again, then immediately followed with another strike to his side before grabbing his arm and hurling him through space.
Zeus instantly controlled his momentum and retaliated by unleashing a gigantic bolt of divine lightning from his palm, the attack crashing directly into Cattleya and detonating with enough force to erase all nearby celestial bodies.
But she charged out of the explosion without flinching, the crimson destruction surrounding her body becoming even denser than before, so dense that the powerful lightning bolts Zeus sent toward her were all destroyed by that dense layer of energy before they could make direct contact with her body.
There was no hesitation in her movement as she charged through the storm of divine lightning. Despite the blood pouring from her wounds, her glowing crimson eyes locked entirely onto Zeus with nothing but pure rage burning within them.
’Tsk... She’s like a beast.’
Zeus vanished from where he was, reappearing beside Cattleya faster than she could react, his fist already wrapped in compressed divine lightning before it crashed directly into her face with enough force to fracture her jaw and send her body hurtling through several nearby moons, reducing them into scattering fragments of burning debris in her wake.
Before her momentum could even begin to reduce, Zeus was already upon her again, sending another punch toward her chest, then another, each impact reinforced with the power of several universal laws amplifying his lightning.
A knee slammed into her stomach moments later, azure lightning ripping through her destructive energy coat, but at the same time, golden blood spilt from Zeus’ own mouth as Cattleya’s counterattack connected, a crimson-coated strike landing against his side and releasing an explosive blast of destructive aether that ignored his durability almost entirely.
The energy detonated within him rather than against him and forced his body to recoil through space under the force of the internalised impact.
Zeus’ eyes narrowed as he ground his teeth, his irises lighting up with a glow as he was forced to admit,
’I can’t subdue her without using my Authorities...!’
The thought that he couldn’t deal with one Archdevil who wasn’t even in her sane mind without using his Authorities irritated Zeus to no end, but he also knew that the more time he wasted, the worse the situation would become.
’We’re too close to the Underworld. Hades must be in Tartarus if he hasn’t reacted until now, but the moment he comes out and detects her presence, it would become a mess.’
Coming to that conclusion, Zeus elementalized his body, turning into a bolt of lightning that arced through space faster than light and evaded Cattleya’s lunge before rematerializing his physical body behind her.
|Absolute Divine Lightning Authority: Spiral Cataclysm.|
Azure lightning gathered around him in a dense roaring spiral that expanded across the surrounding space, and he raised his hand and unleashed that energy in a sustained lightning beam that erased everything in its path as it locked onto Cattleya.
The bolt hit her directly and didn’t stop, smacking her body backwards through space at terrifying speed, sending her crashing through a planet that exploded into fragments on impact while the lightning beam continued pressing against her without interruption, until she was violently propelled across the system’s vacuum and slammed into a distant star.
The instant she hit it, the continuous divine lightning immediately overwhelmed the stellar core, and the star erupted into a nova that flooded the surrounding space with blinding destruction as Zeus held the beam steady for a final moment before releasing it into the expanding explosion.
He watched the nova in silence, lightning still crawling across his body as he stared into the expanding light of the destroyed star system, and after a moment of silence, he muttered to himself, "She’s completely lost it."
Within the fading brilliance of the exploding star, Cattleya’s body was still moving through space, charging toward him through layers of burning stellar debris.
Her left hand reached outward, and a sword formed in her grasp, its blade igniting instantly with destructive energy that crackled like living lightning, crumbling the surrounding space simply by existing.
Zeus’ eyes narrowed as he clenched his fist, the lightning around his body condensing into his arm, and a bone-white, jagged weapon manifested in his grip, radiating overwhelming pressure in all directions.
Divinity began pouring into the lightning bolt, but before Cattleya could close the distance, an eruption of flames tore open space behind her, and Creusery burst out from the burning rift, his arms reaching out and wrapping around her from behind in an attempt to restrain her mid-flight.
The moment his arms locked around her, Cattleya violently thrashed with all her might, trying to tear herself free while crimson energy burst out in erratic bursts from her body.
’This feeling...! She’s using Deadly Sin Wrath Magic!’
Creusery’s frown deepened as he maintained his grip, but she slammed her elbow into his chest with devastating force, the impact knocking the breath from his lungs for an instant and allowing her to break free of his weakened hold and shoot back toward Zeus, sword raised high.
’Damn it!’
Creusery cursed, five pairs of flaming wings unfolding behind him as he closed the distance in an instant and caught her again from behind with both arms, pulling her back with all his might.
The flames around his wings spread outward and engulfed them both, burning away the magic power of the Wrath Magic and the moment the light of reason returned to her eyes, he placed both hands on either side of her head and poured immense magic power through her ears.
"Sleep for a bit, Leya."
With those words, Creusery activated a mental magic spell. The magic power he’d poured into Cattleya’s head spread through her brain, and in an instant, her consciousness was cut off.
Her body froze, the crimson energy coating her body dispersing in a violent burst, and in the next moment, her body went limp and drifted forward lightly.
Her sword silently disappeared with her loss of consciousness, and Creusery reached out to hold his unconscious sister from behind before lifting his gaze toward Zeus with a cold stare.
Zeus met his eyes while still channelling divinity into Astrape, violent lightning snapping and crackling from the weapon.
Clearly, he was still itching for a fight, but this attitude only made Creusery shake his head.
"It’s not me you should be concerned about," he said.
The instant he spoke those words, Zeus’ eyes widened as he snapped his gaze upward, and there, floating in space with a still-open cosmic gate swirling behind him, was a man he’d never expected to see in this place.
"Diablo," he muttered.
Diablo met Zeus’ gaze in silence, then looked over the destruction around them before exhaling softly.
Creusery appeared behind him through an eruption of flames and immediately spoke, "Leya is unconscious for now, but..."
"I know," Diablo said, cutting him off. "There’s only one reason she’d attack Zeus in a state like that."
The man didn’t need anyone to explain the current situation to him.
"Go back."
Creusery nodded once at Diablo’s order and entered the cosmic gate, and then Diablo returned his full attention to Zeus, who was watching him with caution.
"I really hate when my bad feelings end up being correct," he muttered.
Slowly, he raised his hand and destructive law energy coursed through his arm, a concentration of power far exceeding the total amount of power Cattleya possessed.
Zeus responded immediately, activating his Monarch Rank Authorities in preparation for combat.
Diablo, however, looked away from Zeus and into the distant space above him, an action that made Zeus frown in confusion.
Suddenly, the alarmed voice of Olympus’s sentience echoed in Zeus’ mind.
[Cosmic Energy Domination! Be careful! This is what Kr̷̜̈o̵̰̓͊n̴͇̔̈́ò̵͓̕š̵̭̘͠ ̵̩̖̀̄d̵͓͔́̑i̸̡̱̚d̷͚̹̾̽-̷͕̻͘-̷̻̽͌]
The message cut off into distorted static as Diablo released a pulse of destructive energy from his palm, and Zeus immediately felt a piercing pain in his chest through his connection to the universe as the Master of its Pantheon.
Clutching his chest, he glared at Diablo and cursed out.
|You bastard!!|
He realised instantly that Diablo had done the exact same thing Kronos had done hundreds of thousands of years ago when he’d been on the verge of defeat.
Diablo hadn’t attacked him or anyone within Olympus, but Olympus itself.
He’d directly damaged the Olympus Universe.
Diablo calmly lowered his hand, speaking in his True Voice.
|I have nothing to say to you, Zeus, except that you should be prepared to face the consequences of your actions.|
Then he infused cosmic energy into his tongue, his voice echoing across Olympus and in the ears of every Entity of its Pantheon.
|Let it be known that everything to come stems from the actions of the one you call your ’King’.
As the Ruler of the Hell Universe’s Devildom, I, Diablo Vaughn, speak to the entirety of Olympus.
Consider this Hell’s declaration of war.|
