Saint Xi rushed out of the Invisibility Cloak.

The Beastman Soldiers were stunned when they saw Saint Xi suddenly appear.

But they quickly recovered and immediately reached for their weapons to face the enemy.

The Beastman Soldiers who had survived the harshest environments to make it here were the elites among elites.

The Beastmen reacted instantly to Saint Xi’s sudden appearance.

But the difference in their strength was too great.

The Beastmen had barely touched their weapons when their heads were separated from their bodies.

SHLICK! SHLICK! SHLICK!

It was a one-sided slaughter.

Saint Xi killed all the Beastman Soldiers as easily as crushing insects.

Some Beastman Soldiers tried to use the captives as shields, but they too were instantly killed by Saint Xi.

The captured Valkyries all fell onto the snow, their eyes vacant as they stared at the Beastman Soldier corpses littering the ground.

Although the Valkyries from Ice and Snow City were high-Level, they hadn’t experienced many brutal battles.

They were no match for elite Beastman Soldiers of the same level.

Faced with such a bloody scene, like something out of an Asura Hell, they all seemed to lose the ability to react.

Li Wei paid them no mind, turning to look toward the cave.

The recent battle had already alerted the Beastman Soldiers inside the cave.

Li Wei was pondering something. He had previously used his Spiritual Perception to probe the cave’s interior but hadn’t found any trace of humans.

In other words, the humans previously captured by the Beastman Soldiers were all dead.

To be safe, Li Wei conducted a more detailed scan.

The images he perceived made Li Wei feel sick to his stomach.

Inside the cave were the half-eaten limbs of humans.

Li Wei’s brazen scanning finally alerted the powerful experts within the Beastman troop.

He also ascertained the strength of the Beastman force.

Three Tier Six Beastman Professionals, and one Beastman Professional approaching the Legendary Level.

There were no survivors.

That being the case, Li Wei had no reason to hesitate.

"Meteor Fireball Technique!"

Saint Xi stood before the cave and spewed a blast of Holy Dragon Breath from her mouth.

The Holy Fire surged into the cave, instantly turning all enemies who came into contact with the Dragon Breath to ash.

This was the breath of a Legendary Giant Dragon.

Although its power was greatly reduced in human form, it was still far beyond what ordinary Beastman Soldiers could withstand.

Saint Xi blocked the escape route for all the Beastman Soldiers.

As the near-Legendary Level expert of the Beastman Race tried to charge out through the Dragon Breath, a deafening, rumbling explosion echoed from the sky.

A meteor fell from the sky, and under the influence of the Elemental Reaction Extraordinary Trait, the energy within its matter converted into Elemental Energy and erupted.

BOOM!

The meteor crashed into the mountain above the cave.

The terrifying impact instantly pierced the hollow mountain, causing it to collapse.

Immediately after, a terrifying explosion occurred.

RUMBLE! WHOOSH!

A hypersonic shockwave instantly blew away thousands of meters of snow, exposing the earth beneath.

The center of the explosion had long since been melted by the incredibly scorching flames.

Everything vanished, reduced to nothing.

Even the strongest Extraordinary Professional of the Beastman Race, who was near Legendary Level, vanished in an instant.

Li Wei stood in the valley, all the flames and shockwaves spreading out to his sides, not affecting the few survivors behind him.

The Beastman corpses around them, however, had somehow caught fire. In the flames, the bodies turned to ash and scattered into the world on the violent wind.

When the explosion finally subsided, the terrain before Li Wei had completely changed.

The originally round valley had become a massive, gourd-shaped one.

The massive crater created by the Meteor Fireball Technique’s explosion was far larger than the original valley.

Li Wei looked at Saint Xi not far away and called out, "Saint Xi, let’s go."

Saint Xi silently walked back to Li Wei’s side. She asked, somewhat bewildered, "Why can those Beastmen so brazenly accept eating their own kind?"

In her worldview, if you were starving, you would eat ice, sand, rocks, or metal—anything but your own kind.

This was especially true for Pure-blooded Giant Dragons, who were very particular about such matters.

By instinct, Pure-blooded Giant Dragons strive to protect the purity of their bloodline and would never allow the blood of another Giant Dragon to contaminate their own.

Eating one of their own was something they would absolutely never do.

It was an absolute taboo.

Li Wei gazed at the distant sky and said, "If they don’t eat, they starve. But that’s no reason to forgive them."

He didn’t want to explain too many profound principles to Saint Xi.

Because the principle was simple: a creature’s instinct is to survive, and they will stop at nothing to do so.

This was true for Beastmen, and it was true for humans as well.

The Valkyries, having come to their senses, helped each other up and looked at Li Wei and Saint Xi with immense gratitude.

"Thank you for saving us. Thank you so, so much..."

"Go on back," Li Wei said.

Such a huge commotion here would surely attract the Ice Queen’s attention.

To be on the safe side, Li Wei used a Communication Crystal to send a message to the Ice Queen, telling her what had happened here.

The Ice Queen quickly replied to Li Wei.

"Monice is on her way with some people. Thank you for your help."

Before long, the surviving Valkyries walking across the Snowfield saw the party led by Monice.

They cried with joy and ran desperately toward their companions.

When they looked back, Li Wei and Saint Xi, who had been escorting them, had already disappeared.

Saint Xi soared through the sky, silent and withdrawn.

It seemed the recent events had hit her quite hard.

Li Wei could understand. After all, Saint Xi had only just been "born."

Although she knew a great many things from the moment she was born due to her bloodline inheritance, without personal experience, there was much she only half-understood.

Saint Xi’s voice, sounding a bit downcast, echoed in Li Wei’s mind. ’I still don’t understand. Why don’t they just eat rocks and ice?’

Li Wei replied, "Besides Giant Dragons, almost no other creature can survive by eating rocks and ice."

He patted Saint Xi’s back and said, "Alright, don’t dwell on it so much."

"ROOOAR!"

Saint Xi, feeling discontent, let out a furious roar. With a powerful beat of her wings, she accelerated, going faster and faster.

She sped up with all her might, as if trying to cast off all her frustrations.

Li Wei sat on Saint Xi’s back, the fierce wind whipping against his face, blowing his hair and clothes straight back.

He didn’t use a Magic Shield to block the wind.

He just sat there on her back, gripping her dorsal fin, and experienced the wind and extreme speed with her.

In the blink of an eye, the impossibly massive Ice Emperor appeared before them.

This time, Saint Xi didn’t slow down. As if she’d gone mad, she charged straight for the Ice Emperor.

Li Wei’s expression changed. He hurriedly slapped Saint Xi’s back and shouted, "Stop, it’s too dangerous!"

Saint Xi replied, ’No, I can feel it. It’s asking for our help. It needs help.’
