Li Wei handed the roasted meat to an eager Saint Xi.

"Finish up. We’re getting ready to leave."

Saint Xi gulped down the meat in one bite. She looked at Li Wei, puzzled, and asked, "Where are we going?"

"Back to the Ice and Snow City."

Li Wei gazed toward the distant horizon where a dark shape was gradually growing larger.

It seemed the Ice Emperor’s trajectory wouldn’t change much.

Even if they left for a while, he wouldn’t have to worry about not being able to find the Ice Emperor upon his return.

Saint Xi transformed into a Giant Dragon and, carrying Li Wei, sped toward the Ice and Snow City.

A Legendary Giant Dragon’s flying speed could easily exceed Mach 10.

As a Royal Holy Giant Dragon, a member of the Giant Dragon Royal Family, Saint Xi’s flying speed was even faster. She reached Mach 15 without even using her full strength.

This was far more effortless than Li Wei flying on his own.

For Li Wei to maintain a flying speed of Mach 15, the Mana consumption per second would be astronomical.

He couldn’t maintain such high-speed flight for long.

But Saint Xi could. She could easily fly for hours, or even days, in one go.

This was an innate racial ability of Giant Dragons.

Before long, Li Wei and Saint Xi were back outside the Ice and Snow City.

Li Wei had her stop outside the city walls; they didn’t enter.

Li Wei took a Honey Bee egg from his Spatial Ring, infused it with Mana, and summoned a Honey Bee.

After being filled with Mana, the egg became a ball of white light. The ball rapidly expanded, and a thirty-centimeter-long Honey Bee appeared before Li Wei.

The Honey Bee didn’t seem to be adapting well to the cold climate of the Extreme North Icefield and appeared a bit listless.

Li Wei cast a constant-temperature Fire Element Magic Shield on it.

The Honey Bee immediately perked up. Its two large compound eyes looked at Li Wei, awaiting his command.

Li Wei said, "Search for any nearby plants."

Upon hearing this, the Honey Bee immediately vibrated its wings, turned, and flew toward the snowy ground below.

Alice had told Li Wei that Honey Bees possessed a wondrous ability to easily locate plants and flowers.

Li Wei was using this very ability to have the Honey Bee search for traces of the Beastmen.

The Beastman forces were hidden somewhere outside the Ice and Snow City, and they certainly couldn’t survive without eating or drinking.

Their camp must contain food and provisions.

Li Wei was betting that the Honey Bee could find the location of the Beastman unit’s supplies.

It wouldn’t matter if it didn’t find them.

He had told the Ice Queen he would just give it a try, with no guarantee of success.

Li Wei and Saint Xi followed the Honey Bee as it descended. Saint Xi landed on the snow, leaving two small footprints.

She looked at the Honey Bee flying about and said, "So that’s another way to use that thing. I remember you ate one before. Was it tasty?"

Saint Xi looked up at Li Wei.

Li Wei glanced at the Honey Bee not far away and whispered, "I’ll give you one to eat later."

’It wouldn’t be right to eat one of its kind right in front of this hardworking Honey Bee.’

After a short while, the Honey Bee stopped, hovering over a patch of snow.

Li Wei and Saint Xi quickly approached. After digging away the fluffy snow, they discovered dark green plants hidden underneath, just as expected.

Li Wei glanced at the Honey Bee and said, "Keep searching."

At his command, the Honey Bee continued its search for signs of plants.

Flying here and there, the Honey Bee led Li Wei to quite a few plants in the snow.

These plants were all hidden beneath the white snow, making them normally very difficult to spot.

’I really don’t know how the Honey Bee finds them.’

Following the Honey Bee, Li Wei and Saint Xi suddenly entered a valley.

Seeing the change in the surrounding environment, Li Wei’s expression grew thoughtful.

When he heard the buzzing ahead intensify, he knew it had found more plants.

Li Wei quickly picked up his pace to catch up to the Honey Bee.

Suddenly, the buzzing vanished. Li Wei’s eyes narrowed, and he slowed his steps.

His Spiritual Perception spread out.

"Gahahaha, we found a Magic Beast! Just in time for an extra meal."

"Why would a bee be here?"

"Who knows? Who cares? You want some?"

Li Wei and Saint Xi hid behind a rock. He peeked out and saw two Beastmen a short distance ahead, gorging themselves on the Honey Bee he had released.

The two Beastmen devoured the Honey Bee raw, crunching it up shell and all before swallowing.

They looked like they hadn’t eaten meat in centuries.

’The Beastmen killed the Honey Bee,’ Li Wei thought. ’But its mission is complete.’

The Honey Bee had led Li Wei to the Beastman unit’s stronghold.

The Beastman unit was hidden in a Snowfield valley about a hundred *li* from the Ice and Snow City.

They seemed to have found a natural cave where they were all hiding, sheltering from the wind and snow while also evading the Ice and Snow City’s search parties.

Only a few Beastmen were standing guard outside.

Li Wei had already used his Spiritual Perception to get a clear picture of the situation.

The Beastman unit didn’t have many soldiers, only a few hundred.

But they were all powerful. The weakest among them was at the level of a Tier One Professional.

Most had already reached Tiers Two and Three.

This was clearly an elite unit of the Beastman Race.

The very fact that they could cross the vast Extreme North Snowfield to get here was a testament to their strength.

Ordinary Beastmen would have frozen to death long ago on the journey.

Deeper in the cave, there seemed to be several other powerful Beastman Professionals.

Li Wei didn’t probe deeper, fearing he might alert the powerful experts of the Beastman Race inside.

If there was a Tier Six Professional, they could easily detect his Spiritual Perception.

Just as Li Wei was about to turn and leave, a group of Beastman Soldiers appeared behind him. Some of them were injured and bleeding, while others were carrying back spoils of war.

Li Wei spotted the Beastman Soldiers while they were still a considerable distance away.

Li Wei took out his Invisibility Cloak, pulled Saint Xi into his arms, and covered them both, vanishing from sight.

The Beastmen didn’t notice the invisible Li Wei and Saint Xi. They walked and chatted, discussing the battle they just had.

"Sob... Let me go."

"Kill me."

"I don’t want to die."

...

Li Wei realized there were survivors among the captives the Beastman Soldiers were bringing back.

It looked like they were Valkyries from the Ice and Snow City.

The words coming from the Beastman Soldiers’ mouths made Li Wei’s blood run cold.

"Ahaha, don’t be in such a hurry. The last tender-skinned woman lasted us a good long while."

"Human meat is still the tastiest. The Kobold meat we had last time was so tough and stinky it almost made me puke."

Hearing the exchange between the Beastmen, the captive Valkyries’ faces filled with despair.

They would rather die in battle than be violated and then eaten by the Beastmen.

The thought that their comrades had already experienced this taste of despair made them tremble to their very souls.

Li Wei now understood why this Beastman unit was so small.

The Beastman unit had suffered immense losses while crossing the Extreme North Icefield.

Lacking food, they had survived by relying on the corpses of their comrades to reach the Ice and Snow City.

Even Saint Xi couldn’t help but tremble as she listened.

"Li Wei, these Beastmen are absolutely disgusting! I’m going to kill them."

As soon as she finished speaking, she charged straight out.
