Li Wei sensed that the source of the mysterious power was not far ahead.
The two of them quickened their pace and soon entered a spacious chamber. At its center levitated a hollow, polygonal sphere, purplish-black in color.
Streams of purplish-black energy constantly emanated from the hollow sphere.
As soon as Li Wei stepped into the chamber, he was spotted by the people already inside.
"Who’s there?"
Someone turned to look at him and shouted.
Li Wei turned his head, and when he saw their faces, his expression hardened.
It was the remaining few people he had seen earlier in the Extreme Cold Abyss Glacier.
The leader, a man in a black coat, was among them. They were standing next to the Void Core, with three purplish-brown crystals floating above their heads and shoulders. Ribbons of purplish-black energy drifted from the crystals, continuously interacting with the Void Core.
Seeing this, Li Wei recalled what Basam had said about restoring the Ice Emperor’s Void Power to create a channel for the Void Emperor to descend upon the world.
Li Wei deduced that this was the method Basam had spoken of for restoring the Void Power.
In other words, if he destroyed what was in front of him, he could stop the Ice Emperor from being transformed into a Void Giant Whale and prevent the Void Emperor from descending upon this world.
This train of thought seemed to take a long time, but it all happened in an instant.
The connections and conclusions formed in Li Wei’s mind almost the moment he saw them.

In an instant, the space at the spear’s tip melted.

The Purple Extreme Flame Spear pierced through space, passed through the palm of the Void Energy hand, and struck the massive Void Core behind it.
The men’s faces changed. They all thrust out their hands, pouring all their power into the Void Core to strengthen its defense.
The Void Core released a massive flow of purplish-black energy, instantly forming a purplish-black Void Shield.
The Purple Extreme Flame Spear clashed with the Void Shield, locked in a stalemate.
As time passed, the power of the Purple Extreme Flame Spear gradually weakened, and it lost the confrontation.
Seeing the Void Core was unharmed, the men breathed a sigh of relief.
They turned to look at Li Wei, and in the next second, their eyes filled with horror.
Several small jets of purple fire shot out from in front of Li Wei, flying toward them like arrows.
All their power was currently focused on the Void Core, leaving them defenseless against Li Wei’s attack.

However, what happened next defied their expectations.
The purple Flaming Arrows didn’t attack the three men. Instead, they scattered and accurately struck the Void crystals on their heads and shoulders.

The sound of the Void crystals shattering reached their ears.
With the Void crystals destroyed, the three men lost their control over the Void Core.
The Void Shield that had formed on the Void Core’s surface gradually dissipated, its Void Energy flowing back into the core.

"ROAR!"
Saint Xi transformed into a Holy Giant Dragon right in front of the three men.
Her massive body filled the entire chamber.

By activating the Purple Flame Lord form with his Tier Five Peak strength, Li Wei’s power approached the Legendary Level.
’Purple Extreme Phoenix Fire Line!’
A pillar of purple fire pierced through the flesh above, extending all the way to the outside of the Ice Emperor.
Li Wei grabbed Saint Xi, who was immobilized by the effort of suppressing the Void Core’s energy, and shot out of the newly created opening like a purple meteor.

Li Wei focused all his power into a single point, pierced through the ocean of ice energy, and soared into the sky.

A torrent of ice-blue frigid air erupted from the Ice Emperor’s back.
A purple meteor shot out from the torrent of ice-blue air, rocketing toward the heavens.
Li Wei grabbed Saint Xi and flew swiftly into the distance, away from the Ice Emperor.
Looking down, he saw that a thousand-li cloud of Ice Crystals had formed around the Ice Emperor, and a blizzard that blotted out the sky was raging on the ground below it.
The Ice Emperor’s steps had halted due to the unexpected situation inside its body.
Li Wei spared it a single glance before hurrying to get away.
’Once Basam realizes what’s happened, he’ll definitely come after me to get the Void Core back.’
’Before that, I have to find a way to deal with the Void Core.’
Li Wei glanced worriedly at Saint Xi. She had closed her eyes and curled into a ball, and her golden scales were now stained with a purplish-black pattern.
The Void Energy had already corroded Saint Xi’s draconic body.
’I hope she’s okay.’
After escaping the Ice Emperor, Li Wei deactivated his Purple Flame Lord form.
The form’s consumption was too great.
