Harem System In A fantasy World

Chapter 491: A different Celeste

Mira looked back toward Elion. "Just how much blood did she take?"

"Quite a bit." Her eyes narrowed.

Celeste’s expression soured slightly.

Before the atmosphere could become any more awkward, Elion placed one hand on Mira’s shoulder. "She did not do it intentionally; it was no fault of hers."

Mira continued staring at him before releasing a long sigh.

She didn’t really mean to come off that way, but it must have sounded like she was accusing Celeste of something terrible.

Despite that, taking back her carelessly spoken words would sound as if she was making excuses, so she doubled down on Elion instead.

"You are far too forgiving when it comes to beautiful women."

Elion considered her words. "That is probably true."

Mira’s eye twitched. "You were supposed to deny it."

"And why would I lie to you, my beautiful lady?" Despite herself, the corner of Mira’s mouth lifted slightly. She stepped forward and wrapped her arms around him.

She rested her cheek against his chest and held him for only a few seconds, while ignoring the fact that Elion’s hands had somehow already found and weakly cupped the globes of her ass without shame.

"I am glad you are awake," she whispered.

Elion smiled lightly while nodding to himself. "So am I." He gave her ass a small reassuring squeeze and a little shake before letting go.

The shameless groping earned a few head shakes, but everyone seemed to be used to it by now.

Tessa, who was watching from several steps away, her arms folded and her head turned slightly to the side.

Elion looked toward her. "Are you not going to welcome me back as well?"

"You were only sleeping; I see no reason for all the fuss."

"But I was asleep for several days; what if I never woke up?"

"That sounds like your problem, and you are probably going to take advantage of the situation to grope me as well, so I would rather not."

Elion grinned. "You know me so well. But were you not worried at all?"

"Why would I be worried?" Her voice was firm, but her eyes kept drifting toward his pale face and the bite marks on his neck.

Elion opened his arms, gesturing for her to come in for a hug.

Tessa stared at him. "No."

"Come on."

"No."

"I nearly died."

"You just said you did not."

"I have reconsidered."

Tessa glared at him.

Elion continued waiting with his arms open. After several seconds, she clicked her tongue and walked forward.

"This does not mean anything."

She gave him a quick, stiff embrace. Elion immediately wrapped both arms around her and refused to release her; just like with Mira, he sneakily tried to move his hands lower to feel her up, only for a cracking slap to ring out.

Kwap!

’Ouch!’

"Elion!"

"Okay okay... Fine, no groping. But you seem to be holding me rather tightly for someone who was not worried."

"I am not holding you tightly."

"You are."

"Let go."

"One more second."

Her face turned beet red.

Mira and Aria watched with knowing smiles while Tessa struggled weakly in his arms before finally pushing herself free.

"Pervert."

Elion grinned before looking toward the last person. Isla stood near the hallway, looking at him with visible relief, though she looked a bit embarrassed.

Her hands were clasped tightly in front of her.

They hadn’t spoken much after he took her virginity in the workshop, but he could already imagine what she had been up to this past week while trapped in here.

His smile softened. "Isla." She hesitated before slowly approaching.

"I-I’m also happy that you are all right." She gave him a vibrant, genuine smile that lit up his soul. The unfiltered joy on her face made his heart skip a beat.

He couldn’t help but think that if those angels from ancient mythology had a physical form, perhaps they would look like Isla.

They were described as being the peak of purity in body, mind, and soul, and if he had to say, the closest to that description, among all the people he had ever met, was Isla.

"Thank you." Elion gave her a smile as well.

Unlike the others, she did not rush to embrace him. Her gaze moved briefly toward Celeste before returning to Elion.

He understood her hesitation and extended one hand toward her.

Isla looked at it for a moment before she carefully placed her hand in his. Elion pulled her closer and wrapped one arm around her.

Her body stiffened for a moment before relaxing against him. "You had us worried," she whispered into his ear.

"I am sorry."

"You should be."

Elion raised a brow. That didn’t sound like something she would usually say at all, and her face immediately reddened.

"I mean... you should be more careful."

"I will try."

Mira scoffed from behind them. "No, he will not."

"That is true," Aria added.

Elion ignored them.m Once Isla stepped away, all four women finally turned their full attention toward Celeste.

The newly awakened progenitor stood silently beside Elion, her snow-white hair falling down her back and her crimson eyes studying each woman in return.

Mira, Tessa, and Aria, who were familiar with her before, though not personally, were quick to notice the drastic changes in not only her beauty, but her presence as well.

Aria was the first to speak. "Your hair changed."

Celeste lightly touched one of the white strands. "It did."

"It looks good," Isla said softly.

Celeste looked toward her. "Thank you."

Mira studied Celeste more carefully. "You also feel much stronger."

Elion smiled proudly. "My Celeste has become rather impressive."

Celeste glanced toward him. "You speak as though you had something to do with it."

"I provided the blood, and far too much of it."

Celeste became faintly embarrassed. "I did not intend to harm him."

There was no arrogance or attempt to excuse herself in Celeste’s voice.

She looked toward Elion with a determined gaze

"I will ensure it never happens again."

Elion reached out and took her hand. "I already told you that I am fine, and don’t suddenly stop taking your fill of my blood when you feel like it. I like it when you drink and cling to me like a baby."

The statement made her pale face erupt into a furious blush, making the others laugh softly.

"I still can’t understand how you can sleep for an entire week," Mira cut in, in an attempt to ease away from the gloomy conversation.

"Well, I had to... After all, I had a very comfortable pillow." Celeste’s head snapped toward him, giving him a sharp glare, as if daring him to say any more.

Mira’s eyes narrowed. "What pillow?"

Elion smiled. "The best kind." Celeste squeezed his hand hard enough to make his fingers ache, and Elion wisely decided not to explain further.

He looked around the lounge. "So, how bad was it being trapped inside here?"

Mira released a tired breath. "It could have been worse."

"The bedrooms were comfortable," Isla added. "And the kitchen had everything we needed."

"The training room was useful," Tessa said.

Aria frowned.

"But being unable to leave was incredibly boring. We could see the castle outside; we could even see you sleeping after asking the Ark to show us through a screen, but it wouldn’t let us out no matter how much we asked."

"The Ark would not even allow us near the controls," Mira added.

Elion nodded slowly. "That was probably the security function."

"It even threatened to restrain Aria at some point," Tessa said.

Elion looked toward her with his brows raised. "How did that happen?"

Aria crossed her arms. "I was just trying to find a way out, and I was also frustrated seeing that you had passed out."

"You mean you threatened to bash the controls until an exit was opened somehow." Mira corrected.

Aria harrumphed, but she didn’t say anything more.

Isla turned toward Elion and explained. "The Ark dropped her onto the couch and wrapped her in some sort of glowing rope."

Elion looked at Aria, who looked away, clearly embarrassed by her own actions. "How long were you restrained?"

"That is not important."

"Three hours," Tessa answered.

Elion pressed his lips together.

Aria pointed at him.

"Do not laugh."

"I am not."

"You are trying not to."

"I would never."

His shoulders began trembling.

Aria struck his arm. "Well, excuse me for panicking, but you are the one who left us trapped inside your ridiculous flying house!"

"What was I supposed to do? I was unconscious, and I already said I’m sorry."

"And now you are laughing at me!"

At that, Elion failed to hold in his laughter. It echoed through the lounge, causing Aria to fume in frustration, more so when she noticed the others’ faces.

Mira shook her head, while Isla covered her mouth to hide her own smile, and Celeste’s lips curved faintly.

Aria glared at all of them before turning away with a huff. Once Elion’s laughter faded, he looked toward the glowing control panels.

"Ark."

A calm voice immediately responded from somewhere around them.

[Awaiting command.]

"Grant Mira, Aria, Tessa, Isla, Celeste, and Zenith permission to enter and exit freely."

[Please specify access level.]

"Basic residential access. They can enter, leave, and use the living facilities, but they cannot control navigation or weapons without my direct permission."

[Access granted.]

Several small symbols appeared briefly in the air before each woman.

Aria stared at hers. "You could have done that before?"

"I did not think I would be unconscious for a week."

"That does not answer the question."

Elion ignored her and turned toward Celeste. "You should be able to come and go freely now."

Celeste looked around the Ark once more. "I may choose not to leave."

Elion raised a brow. "You have an entire castle."

"But this place has you."

The cheesy words made the other girls narrow their eyes, Mira, Aria, and Tessa especially. How was this Celeste so different from the one they had all been told about back at the academy?

So far, nothing about her checked out at all. Why was she so... Expressive and lovey-dovey with Elion?

Not to say she wasn’t supposed to be, but how could someone be so different from the persona and reputation that she was known for by so many people?

’Yeah... It’s definitely Elion’s fault.’ They all seemed to think at the same time.

Elion simply tightened his fingers around Celeste’s hand.

"I suppose we can make room." There were not enough bedrooms for everyone on the ark, but they could always hang around at his place in Grimholt, seeing as his harem was always constantly growing without warning.

Celeste leaned slightly closer to him. "That will not be necessary. I intend to sleep beside you."
