The pieces practically connected themselves.

’Bride-to-be?’ His eyes narrowed sharply.

The question now was what gave this remarkably young Archmage the gall to so casually barge into someone else’s home, interrupt a family celebration, and speak as though he already owned the place.

Suddenly, Elion was quite interested in seeing how things would turn out.

"I already told you, you little bastard. She doesn’t want you, so you can’t take her as your bride," Paul replied.

Adonis merely chuckled as he stopped in front of the patriarch.

"Don’t worry, Uncle Paul, she just needs a little bit of convincing. I’m sure given enough time, she would be more than happy to join my harem once she gets to know me better."

He casually glanced over Paul’s shoulder, searching for Tessa, and immediately licked his lips when he spotted her, doing so without the slightest bit of restraint or shame as his eyes feasted on the obvious strain of her top around her mounds.

"Ahhhh... My beautiful bride, looking as brilliant as always, I see!"

Tessa’s expression darkened.

Adonis, however, seemed to have already lost interest in her as his gaze was inexplicably drawn toward another beautiful face.

His gaze landed on Aria, who was comfortably nestled in Elion’s arms. Adonis’ eyes immediately brightened.

Then they moved farther back as one beautiful woman after another came into his field of vision.

His smile widened.

"Ohohoho, would you look at that..." He spread his arms wide, completely ignoring Elion as though he wasn’t even there.

"Is this a gathering for beauties?"

His gaze swept across the women with shameless appreciation.

"Don’t worry, ladies. I always have room for more."

He flashed them a confident smile.

"You are all welcome to come and join my esteemed harem!"

Tessa immediately shot to her feet, practically fuming with anger.

"Hey! No one wants to be your..."

Whoosh!

BOOM!

Before anyone could even see what had happened, a blurry figure shot across the room and slammed into the wall beside the open entrance doors.

The entire hall fell silent.

Dust and fragments of plaster rained down from the damaged wall.

For several seconds, nobody moved.

Then everyone’s gaze slowly shifted back toward where Adonis had been standing.

He was gone.

And in his place stood Elion.

He was casually swinging his hand back and forth, rotating his wrist as though trying to shake off the impact. A faint wisp of smoke still radiated from his clenched fist, and after inspecting it for a moment, he casually blew away the remaining smoke.

"Damn."

He flexed his fingers.

"Punching that bastard’s face felt like hitting a huge rock; No surprise there, since his face is so rough and ugly." He laughed. "Haha!"

Nobody else laughed with him; they simply stared at him.

Jaws hung open across the hall. Everyone was shocked, but for completely different reasons.

Paul was shocked because he hadn’t even been able to follow Elion’s movement.

One moment, Adonis had been standing in front of him.

The next, Elion had somehow crossed the entire distance between them and sent the Archmage flying.

The surrounding clansmen were shocked because Elion had actually dared to punch someone that even their patriarch had been unwilling to offend despite the fact that he had been pursuing his daughter for a year.

Mira, Zenith, Zenovia, and the others were shocked for an entirely different reason.

One comment, and a single disgusting glance directed at them. That was all it had taken for him to send the man flying toward the entrance.

Aria’s shock was perhaps the strangest of all.

She was no longer in Elion’s arms.

She was sitting comfortably on the cushion and mat where he had been seated only moments ago, staring blankly toward the entrance.

She hadn’t even felt him move.

She hadn’t seen him stand.

She hadn’t felt him release her.

Somehow, within the span of a single second, Elion had created enough time to get up, cross the entire hall, punch Adonis, and return his attention to his surroundings.

Aria slowly blinked.

’When did he even move?’

Even Tessa was staring.

She had been standing right there. She had seen Elion moments before, yet she hadn’t seen the attack.

The only proof that it had happened was the wrecked wall and the empty space where Adonis had been standing.

Paul finally turned his head toward Elion.

"What have you done?" he asked, his face grim.

"Hmm...?"

Elion tilted his head slightly. There was something strange about Paul’s reaction.

The patriarch wasn’t angry.

He wasn’t even particularly shocked anymore.

He looked worried.

Elion’s eyes narrowed.

’Is Paul actually afraid of this guy?’

That didn’t seem right. Perhaps it wasn’t Adonis himself that Paul was afraid of; maybe it was the people connected to him.

Elion’s gaze shifted toward the elegant young man getting up near the ruined entrance with a look of utter shock on his face.

’Who exactly is this bastard?’

He had already sensed that Adonis was no ordinary Archmage, but apparently there was more to the situation than that.

"You dare!"

BOOM!

Adonis finally let his aura completely loose.

He was beyond furious!

To him, the only reason Elion had even managed to land that attack was that he had used an underhanded sneak attack, and he was not going to get caught by surprise again.

An explosive wave of violent red mana erupted from his body, sweeping across the hall with enough force to make the ground beneath him cave inward and crack.

The fractures spread outward in a massive radius, racing across the floor until they reached even Elion’s feet.

The air itself seemed to tremble.

Several clansmen stumbled backward from the sudden pressure, while the weaker members were forced to shield their faces as the violent mana whipped their clothes and hair around them.

Adonis didn’t wait.

A burst of magic erupted beneath his feet, propelling his body forward.

His figure blurred.

In the blink of an eye, he appeared directly in front of Elion, his face twisted with rage as flames wrapped around his clenched fist.

His fist descended.

Elion’s eyes flashed.

His body blurred.

He ducked beneath the punch, feeling the heat of the flames pass over his head before twisting his hips and driving his fist upward.

BOOM!

The uppercut connected squarely with Adonis’s jaw.

His body shot upward before being launched backward like a cannonball.

BOOM!

He crashed into the wall again.

Another stunned silence descended upon the hall.

Even Paul stared in disbelief. This time, however, Adonis’s escorts finally reacted.

"How dare you hit the young master!"

A burly man carrying a staff stepped forward, his expression twisted with fury.

"Do you have any idea who it is you’re offending!?"

As he spoke, his Grand Mage aura erupted.

The oppressive force washed over Elion, causing the surrounding air to grow heavy.

But the burly man barely noticed the effect of his own intimidation.

His attention remained fixed on Elion.

It wasn’t simply the fact that their young master had been struck twice while he had stood there doing absolutely nothing.

It was the fact that he couldn’t even trace Elion’s movements. The first time, he had assumed it was a surprise attack.

The second time, he had been watching, and yet, he had still seen nothing.
