One moment, Elion had been standing there, and the next, Adonis had been flying through the air.

The burly man’s grip tightened around his staff.

’What the hell is this boy?’

He had initially assumed that Elion was merely a talented young High Mage, but now he wasn’t so sure.

Not even a Grand Mage like himself had been able to properly perceive Elion’s movements, and that realization made his expression turn considerably more serious.

"Help the young lord!"

He gestured toward his weaker compatriots while allowing even more of his oppressive presence to leak out, attempting to force Elion down through sheer pressure.

’He must have some sort of powerful movement ability... or perhaps even an artifact! There is no other reasonable explanation for a High Mage to be this fast!’

His eyes swept over Elion from head to toe, searching for anything that might explain what he had just witnessed.

Instead, Elion simply looked back at him. Then his gaze slowly travelled downward, giving the Grand Mage a dismissive once-over.

The man’s face twitched.

’Did he just look down on me?’

"You insolent—!"

Whatever restraint he had left vanished.

He raised one hand, and an enormous amount of mana immediately gathered around him.

"Incen—" The spell activated instantly. "INCENDIARY!"

BOOOOOM!

A massive pillar of flames erupted directly beneath Elion. The force of the explosion shook the entire ceremonial hall.

Flames surged upward like an erupting volcano, swallowing Elion completely before tearing through the ceiling above him.

BOOOOM!

Stone and wooden beams were blasted apart as the pillar continued upward, leaving a massive hole in the roof.

The entire hall fell into chaos as horrified screams erupted from the surrounding clansmen, including young children and the elderly.

instinctively raised their arms to shield themselves from the heat and falling debris, while others stared upward in horror.

Paul’s expression soured when he realised that he had just let probably his future son-in-law get attacked in his own, regardless of the fact that he had attacked first or not.

The Grand Mage stared at the roaring pillar of fire for several seconds, and a smug expression slowly appeared on his face.

"Serves you right." He lowered his raised hand. "In your next life, you should learn who you can and cannot offend."

His voice carried through the damaged hall.

"Now, think about your crimes as you burn in the afterlife—"

His words suddenly stopped when the roaring pillar of fire began to thin.

The flames flickered before slowly dispersing, leaving a lone figure standing within the fading inferno, completely unharmed!

His clothes were barely disturbed, almost as if the flames hadn’t even dared to touch him!

He slowly rolled his shoulders before craning his neck from side to side.

He sighed.

"Ah..." He looked up at the massive hole in the ceiling.

Then he looked back toward the Grand Mage.

"You know..."

He casually brushed a tiny speck of ash from his shoulder.

"That was actually pretty warmer than I thought it would be. Your affinity for fire is not so bad; your young master, however, his could do with a bit of work."

Silence.

Absolute silence.

The Grand Mage’s face went completely blank.

Even Adonis, who had finally been pulled from the rubble near the entrance, froze as he watched Elion casually stretch his arms.

"I would be devastated if I were the one responsible for the destruction of not one, but two of my in-laws’ clan buildings."

Elion casually walked forward, brushing a few strands of hair away from his face.

"So how about we take this outside?" The burly, bald man had finally snapped out of his trance.

His expression twisted with fury.

"Die!"

He immediately began gathering mana for another spell, but he never got the chance to finish casting.

BOOM!

A powerful blow crashed into his body with the force of a mountain.

His entire frame bent backward like a bow before he was launched through the open entrance.

Whoosh!

His body flew across the outer courtyard before disappearing from sight.

The remaining escorts stood frozen with their mouths hung open. They looked toward the entrance, then toward Elion, then back toward the entrance.

The realization slowly dawned on them.

Is he going to do the same to us?

Elion looked at them.

"Well?"

The escorts stiffened.

"Do you want me to help you out as well?"

"Eeeekh!"

They shrieked and immediately turned around, scrambling toward the entrance as fast as their legs could carry them.

A few nearly tripped over one another in their haste.

One of them even grabbed the bleeding Adonis by the arm and dragged him along with them.

"Wait! My lord!"

"Just run!"

And so, the entire group fled the ceremonial hall. Elion watched them disappear through the doorway before casually following after them.

Outside, he immediately came face-to-face with the burly escort, who was struggling to get back onto his feet with a fuming expression.

The moment he noticed Elion approaching, however, his anger vanished.

His body stiffened.

Then he instinctively flinched and shrank back slightly at the sight of Elion casually flexing his ripped biceps.

"So?" Elion tilted his head. "You want me to beat you one by one, or do you want to come at me all together?"

The burly man’s expression darkened even further.

His mind raced as he desperately considered their options.

Elion was not only impossibly fast, but that single strike had been absurdly powerful.

His organs were still rattling from the blow, and blood was already leaking from the corner of his mouth despite having only taken a single punch to the gut.

’There is no way he is only a High Mage!’ His heart pounded. ’He must be hiding his strength somehow.’

His eyes flickered toward Elion.

’Is he some powerful expert? A young lord from some terrifying faction who is merely passing through the Crimson Clan?’

That would explain everything.

It would explain why Patriarch Crimson had been willing to hold such a grand feast.

It would explain why the young man had so many beautiful women surrounding him.

’And all those beautiful women must be his! So Young Lord Adonis’s comments must have angered him!
