"Okay, ladies..."

Elion plopped into one of the seats in the control room, only for Aria to follow him a moment later and plop herself comfortably onto his lap.

He rested his hands comfortably around her waist as she placed her head on his chest.

"Seeing as we’ve arrived in Grimholt, I thought we should set a few things in order, especially since some of us won’t be seeing each other for some time. First off... We’re going to drop off these schoolchildren here..."

Mira immediately scoffed.

"You’re speaking as though you weren’t an academy student yourself, until recently."

Elion smiled.

"Am I still?"

"Technically no."

"See?"

Mira sighed.

"That is not what I meant; You are not any older just because you are not an academy student anymore..."

Elion chuckled, waving her off before continuing.

"As I was saying, Mira, Tessa, Aria... this is where we part ways for now." He glanced toward Zenith and Isla. "Zenith, Isla, and I are going on a... short vacation."

Tessa rolled her eyes dramatically.

"Tessa and Mira, maybe the next time we see each other will be in the Legacy World, unless you want me to occasionally come whisk you away in the dead of night if you miss me too much."

The pair exchanged pleasant smiles.

Elion then placed his palm on Aria’s head of blue hair.

"As for Aria... well, I have no idea what you’ll be up to at the academy; perhaps classes will go on as usual, since it will just be a small portion of the student body that will be heading into the legacy world."

Aria pouted.

"I already told you, I don’t really want to attend anymore."

"And I understand that, but this isn’t a decision you can take lightly."

Elion’s expression became slightly more serious.

"I also think you’d be better off training with Zenith while we’re away or something. But if you give it some thought and still decide that’s what you want, then you can talk to your parents and get their thoughts on it."

He smiled.

"After all, I want you all to become as strong as me, so that we can stand at the top of the world together."

The women exchanged agreeing smiles.

"Un."

Aria nodded.

Mira tilted her head before looking toward Elion.

"And Isolde? What are your plans for her?"

Elion stroked his chin thoughtfully.

"Well, the last time I saw her, we were getting along fine. If she still feels the same way after all this time, then I wouldn’t have a problem giving her a place among you all."

He paused, his expression becoming more contemplative.

"After all... I wouldn’t say that I love her the way I love you guys. I’m attracted to her, and I do like her as a woman."

His gaze lowered slightly.

"But I don’t want my actions to be driven by lust like they used to be."

Mira’s expression softened.

"That’s quite a change from the Elion I knew when we first got together."

Elion chuckled.

"Yeah. I’ve changed a lot since then."

He looked around at the women gathered around him.

"Besides, from now on, if I do decide that I want more women, I want it to be because we genuinely want to be together, not because I simply saw a beautiful woman and decided I wanted her. Of course, Isolde’s case is different; we had already taken a few steps, and intend to see that part through."

Tessa smiled.

"Look at you, becoming mature."

"Don’t sound so surprised."

"But I am surprised."

Elion rolled his eyes.

Mira laughed softly.

The Elion she used to know would have definitely had his eyes on Mayumi and Maya, no questions asked.

They were both very attractive young women, like all of them here, and they were also great talents.

The fact that he hadn’t shown any interest in doing so up to now was a good sign that he had changed, more than just his physical appearance.

She didn’t know what exactly he had experienced in the bloodline trials, past what he had told them, nor did she know what had brought on this change.

She wouldn’t say he had changed dramatically, but he was on track to becoming an even better man than the one she had fallen for.

In her mind, these changes were all positive, and as long as he gave her a good, rough pounding now and then, she would be more than happy to give anything for him.

’He still has a lot of flaws, of course, like all of us. We are only human, after all.’

She chuckled.

"Well, that’s something we’ll have to see for ourselves when we meet her again."

"Fair enough."

Elion leaned back in his chair, glancing around the control room.

"For now, though, let’s focus on getting everyone settled before we head out. I think there’s still a lot we need to talk about, but I guess it can wait until we see each other again."

Elion rested Aria a bit more comfortably, his gaze moving between his beautiful women.

"For now, we’ll head back to Haven to sort a small problem out. After that, I’ll track down Esme and the other succubi to check on them before we head into the Legacy World. I just want to make sure everything is alright, so that I will have some peace of mind."

Mira frowned.

"If you’re that anxious about it, why not check on them first? You still have a few days before you have to answer your summons, don’t you?"

She tilted her head thoughtfully.

"I’m assuming the Ark is fast enough to head east and then fly you back to Haven before the deadline."

Elion gave it some thought.

"You know, you’re right." He nodded slowly. "I had the same thought."

He paused, his expression becoming more contemplative.

"It’s just... I’ve been so sure that those two can take care of themselves. They’ve made it this far without me, after all. They’ve faced untold dangers for more than a century."

He looked toward Mira.

"What could possibly have suddenly appeared at this point in time that would be capable of endangering their lives?"

Mira shook her head.

"You’re looking at this the wrong way."

Elion raised an eyebrow.

"How so?"

"Yes, they’ve been fine on their own this whole time."

Her expression softened.

"But now they have you."

She glanced around the room.

"Us."

Mira shrugged.

"It’s better to be safe than sorry. Even if you go there and discover that nothing is wrong, then all the better."

Elion remained silent for a moment.

Mira’s gaze stayed on him.

"I just don’t want you doing something that you’ll regret in the future."

Elion slowly nodded, letting out a breath,

"You’re right." A faint smile appeared on his face. "I suppose I’ve gotten too used to thinking of them as people who don’t need me."

Mira smiled.

"That’s because they probably don’t."

She paused.

"But that doesn’t mean they wouldn’t want you there."

Elion chuckled.

"Fair enough. Then we’ll change the route. We’ll check on Esme, Ophelia, and the others first."

Mira nodded approvingly.

"Good."

"Oh, and before I forget." A small but surprisingly heavy pouch suddenly dropped into Elion’s hands, its contents clinking softly.

He tossed it across the room toward Mira.

"For you guys’ basic needs."

Mira caught it and raised an eyebrow before opening the pouch. Her eyes narrowed as she did a quick mental estimation of how much was inside from the weight and impression.

’There’s definitely more than a hundred and fifty coins in here.’

"I think this is a little too much for ’basic’ needs."

She wasn’t wrong.

Elion had put two hundred gold coins inside.

That was more money than an ordinary person could hope to earn in a lifetime.

Of course, Mira had been the daughter of a wealthy merchant, so she was at least somewhat accustomed to handling large sums of money.

However, even she found Elion’s definition of basic needs somewhat ridiculous.

Elion smiled.

"I can be a little more stingy in the future if you want me to be a stingy husband."

Mira shook her head.

"Well... never mind then..." She tightened the strand and closed the pouch. "Just don’t start throwing money around whenever you get bored."

"No promises."

Mira sighed.

Since the pair of rings he had given to Aria and Mira did not double as storage rings, he also had to give them a separate pair of storage rings, ones with much larger storage space than those they already had.

After procuring another simple one for Tessa as well, he ended up splashing a couple thousand system points, including those he had spent trading for gold coins.

Tessa had opted to put her own ring around a silver chain, since she used her fists in battle; wearing jewellery wouldn’t do, regardless of the comfort her new gauntlets offered.

With that settled, the group finally got around to doing what they had come here for.

Elion discreetly dropped off Mira, Tessa, and Aria from the safety of the Ark, ensuring their arrival went completely unnoticed despite the academy being heavily guarded.

Of course, he couldn’t simply drop them directly into their rooms. They still needed to check in properly and report that they had returned.

Once that was taken care of, Elion didn’t linger, deciding that now wasn’t the time for reunions.

He had somewhere else to be.

As he gave the Ark instructions to alter its course and begin travelling east, a familiar face suddenly crossed his mind.

A certain delicate, white-haired crafter.

Elion leaned back in his seat.

"I wonder how Oliver is doing?"

It had been quite some time since he had last seen the young craftsman. Hopefully, he hadn’t gotten himself into too much trouble while Elion was away.

Elion glanced toward Zenith and Isla, who were sitting with him.

"Let’s make a quick detour before leaving Grimholt. There’s someone I want to check on."

Zenith tilted her head to the side.

"Someone important?"

"Something like that."
