Harem System: Spending Money On Women For 100% Rebate!
Chapter 375 - 375: Visitation.Kyle arrived at the house, parking his car right in front of the modest suburban home. Even though this was a wealthy neighborhood, his vehicle still caught a few stares from people passing by or tending to their perfectly manicured lawns. It didn't change the fact that neighbors would always be nosy, always watching, always making mental notes about who came and went.
Kyle stepped out of the car, a young good-looking man in expensive casual clothes, moving with the kind of natural confidence that made people do double takes. It was easy to mistake him for a celebrity you just haven't seen yet, someone whose face you should recognize but can't quite place.
The front door opened long before he even made it halfway up the walkway. Jasmine came bursting out like a missile, her little legs pumping as fast as they could carry her.
"Big brother Kyle!" she screamed, launching herself at him with complete faith he'd catch her.
Kyle barely had time to react, his arms coming up on instinct as the seven-year-old projectile collided with his chest. He almost dropped her from the impact but managed to catch her mid-air, stumbling back a step but keeping them both upright.
"Whoa, hey there, Jasmine!" Kyle laughed, adjusting his grip to hold her more securely. "You're getting stronger. Nearly knocked me over."
"I've been practicing my running!" Jasmine said proudly, her arms wrapped tight around his neck. "Cassandra says I'm fast like a cheetah!"
"More like a cheetah missile," Kyle said, setting her down but keeping one hand on her shoulder. "How've you been? You good?"
"I'm so good! Cassandra lets me help with Jnr and we went to the park yesterday and I got to feed the ducks and there's this girl at the library who likes the same books as me and we're gonna be best friends!" The words tumbled out in one excited rush, the way kids talked when they had too much happiness to contain.
Kyle crouched down to her level, his expression softening. "That's amazing. I'm really glad you're happy here."
"I am. It's the best." Jasmine's smile was pure sunshine. "Are you staying for dinner? Cassandra's making spaghetti!"
"We'll see, kiddo. I need to talk to Cassandra first, okay?"
Cassandra had followed behind her "daughter" at a much more measured pace, standing in the doorway with a soft smile on her face. She wore comfortable clothes, jeans and a fitted sweater that showed off her maternal figure, her hair pulled back in a casual ponytail. No makeup, no pretense. Just natural beauty and genuine warmth.
Kyle could tell instantly that she'd missed him. It was in the way her eyes lit up when they met his, the way her smile reached all the way to those eyes, the slight lean forward in her posture like she was holding herself back from rushing at him the same way Jasmine had.
"Hey you," Kyle greeted her, standing back up.
Cassandra was absolutely beaming, trying her best to maintain composure because there was a kid watching. "Hey yourself. Took you long enough to visit."
"I know, I know. Things got... complicated."
"They always do with you." But there was no judgment in her voice, just affectionate acceptance.
Cassandra glanced down at Jasmine, who was still clinging to Kyle's hand. "Jasmine, honey, how about you go check on Jnr? Make sure he's still napping okay?"
"Okay!" Jasmine was happy to have an important task. She gave Kyle one more quick hug before running back into the house, her footsteps thundering up the stairs.
The moment Jasmine was out of sight, Cassandra closed the distance between them. She kissed Kyle with an urgency that spoke of weeks of pent-up longing, her tongue invading his mouth while her hands gripped his shoulders. Kyle responded in kind, his hands immediately going to grab her plump ass, squeezing the generous curves through her jeans.
But that was where it ended. They pulled apart after a few heated moments, both of them breathing a bit heavier.
"I can see someone missed me," Kyle said, a string of saliva still connecting their lips before he wiped it away with his thumb.
Cassandra didn't pretend otherwise. "I did. A lot."
She knew this was supposed to be a transactional relationship. At least, that's what Kyle had said when they'd first established their arrangement. He'd been clear about not wanting her to feel pressured to give him emotional exclusivity, about keeping things practical and mutually beneficial.
But Cassandra had never been good at keeping her emotions separate from her actions. She cared about him, genuinely. Missed him when he was gone. Looked forward to seeing him in a way that went beyond just physical need or financial security.
"I missed you too," Kyle admitted, and he meant it. Cassandra had a grounding effect on him, a maternal warmth that made him feel like he could actually relax instead of constantly performing.
Kyle glanced around the living room, noticing Jane's absence immediately. "My princess is at work?"
Cassandra nodded, not showing any reaction to the term of endearment he used for Jane. She'd long since accepted that Kyle had multiple women in his life, and honestly didn't mind. "Yeah, she left early this morning. She's working so hard, Kyle. I'm so proud of her. She takes it so seriously."
A thought entered Kyle's mind, impulsive and spontaneous. "How about we pay her a visit at work?"
The smile that spread across Cassandra's face showed this was an idea she absolutely supported. "Oh my God, she would be so embarrassed! Let's do it!"
But then Cassandra looked behind her toward the stairs where they could hear Jasmine singing softly to Jnr. Her maternal instincts kicked in immediately.
"Would they be alright?" Kyle asked, following her gaze. He wanted to make sure Jasmine was actually capable of taking care of a baby, even though the girl had proven herself more than capable of taking care of herself and her older brother for years on the streets before Kyle found them.
"She is," Cassandra reassured him. "Better than most babysitters, honestly. She's patient with him, knows when to come get me if something's wrong. And Jnr loves her. She's like the big sister he doesn't know he has yet."
"Alright then." Kyle pulled out his phone to check the address of Jane's workplace. "Let's go surprise my princess."
-
Jane was hard at work in her small office space at the marketing firm. It wasn't really an office, more like a converted storage room with a desk and a clothing rack, but it was hers and she took pride in it.
She'd received Kyle's message earlier about the trip to England and had immediately told Cassandra, both of them excited about the possibility. But Jane was worried about the logistics. Would it even be possible to take a break this soon after starting? Even if they went on a weekend, it would be impossible to travel to England and back in just two days. The flight alone would eat up most of that time. It would take a lot out of her.
This was the problem with having an actual job. Even though she didn't technically have to work for the rest of her life if she chose not to, thanks to Kyle's support, this job kept her grounded. Gave her purpose. Made her feel like she was building something of her own.
Right now, Jane was styling a men's suit for an upcoming photoshoot, trying to get the fit just right. It was one of the more complex styling tasks they'd given her, and she was getting overwhelmed. The jacket needed tailoring, the pants weren't sitting right, and the whole ensemble was supposed to convey "powerful but approachable" which seemed like a contradiction.
This was a lot harder than she'd thought it would be.
Jane heard voices outside her door, familiar somehow, but she pushed the thought out of her mind and remained focused on the task at hand. Probably just coworkers passing by.
The door to her mini office opened without warning.
Jane looked up, automatically preparing to greet whoever it was, and her entire body froze.
Tears immediately filled her eyes the moment she caught a glimpse of the person standing in the doorway.
Kyle stood there, that familiar crooked smile on his face, looking like he'd just walked off a magazine cover. And behind him, Cassandra's warm presence.
"Hey beautiful," Kyle said softly.
"Kyle?" Jane's voice came out as barely a whisper. The suit jacket slipped from her hands, forgotten. "What are you... how did you..."
She didn't finish the sentence. She was already moving, crossing the small space in three quick steps and throwing herself into his arms.
Kyle caught her easily, wrapping his arms around her waist and lifting her slightly off the ground. Jane buried her face in his neck, breathing him in, her tears soaking into his shirt.
"I missed you," she said, the words muffled against his skin. "I missed you so much."
"I know, baby. I missed you too." Kyle held her tight, one hand stroking her hair. "I'm sorry I've been MIA. Things got crazy."
"I don't care. You're here now." Jane pulled back just enough to look at his face, her hands coming up to cup his cheeks. "You're really here."
"I'm really here." Kyle smiled, wiping away her tears with his thumbs. "Thought I'd surprise you at work. Hope that's okay."
"Okay? It's perfect." Jane laughed through her tears, then suddenly became aware of where they were. She glanced over Kyle's shoulder at Cassandra, who was watching them with pure affection on her face.
"Don't mind me," Cassandra said warmly. "This is sweet. Take your time."
Jane looked back at Kyle, her fingers tracing the line of his jaw. "I can't believe you're actually here. In my office. This is so embarrassing."
"Why would it be embarrassing?"
"Because look at this place!" Jane gestured around the tiny converted storage room. "It's basically a closet with a desk. And I'm supposed to be this professional intern and instead I'm crying all over my... over you."
Kyle noticed the hesitation. She'd almost said "boyfriend" but caught herself, unsure what label to use for whatever they were because she knew it was deeper than that.
"You're doing amazing," Kyle said firmly. "Cassandra told me how hard you've been working. I'm proud of you, Jane."
That made the tears start again. "Don't. If you're sweet to me I'm going to cry more and my boss is going to think I'm having a breakdown."
"Then let's get you out of here." Kyle glanced at the suit still hanging on the rack. "You done for the day?"
"I... I have another hour, but..." Jane bit her lip, clearly torn between professionalism and wanting to spend time with Kyle.
"Take the rest of the day," Cassandra suggested from the doorway. "Tell them it's a family emergency. It's not technically a lie. Kyle showing up unannounced is definitely an emergency of some kind."
Kyle laughed. "Hey, I'm a good emergency to have."
Jane looked between them, then made a decision. "Okay. Yeah. Let me just tell my supervisor I need to leave early." She grabbed a tissue from her desk, give me five minutes to make myself presentable."
"You're already presentable," Kyle said. "Beautiful, actually."
"Smooth talker." But Jane was smiling as she fixed her appearance in a small compact mirror. "Where are we going?"
"Wherever you want," Kyle said. "It's your afternoon. We're just here to spend time with you."
Jane's smile got even brighter but all of this was dependent on if her supervisor gave her permission.
