Chapter 907: Chapter 365: I Tested You a Hundred Years Ago_2

"He shouldn’t need to take the O.W.L.s anymore, right?" Professor Dumbledore asked.

"Of course not." Professor Marchbank waved her hand and said, "He’s already achieved twelve ’O’s in his O.W.L.s, even Mr. Old Malfoy couldn’t stop praising him — and you know who I mean, not Lucius Malfoy, nor his father Abraxas Malfoy, but Abraxas’s grandfather, Mr. Septimus Malfoy."

"By the way." Professor Marchbank asked again, "I heard that Mr. Malfoy’s daughter also appeared? Is she at school? She left quite the impression on me, a very temperamental girl, but her temperament matches her strength and family background."

It was clear that Professor Marchbank had a lot to say, and was quite talkative.

However, no student heard, except for Harry — his ears were pretty good.

Yet, Harry hadn’t met Professor Marchbank, as it seemed Professor Dumbledore was not too keen on letting him meet her.

While sleeping at night, Harry heard Seamus’s sleep-talk had changed.

It included, but wasn’t limited to, advanced use of various spells, seeming quite systematic.

The next day at breakfast, none of the fifth-grade students said much. Parvati was softly practicing spells, and the salt shaker twitched in front of her; Hermione quickly reviewed "Spell Achievements," her eyes seemed a bit blurry; Neville kept dropping his knife and fork, spilling jam.

"You really shouldn’t be that nervous," Harry comforted Ron, "I mean, being this nervous doesn’t help much, you’ll just have to go up and take it, wouldn’t you agree?"

"You’re not taking the O.W.L.s, so you’re not nervous," Ron said, not too kindly.

Harry scratched his head, hadn’t I been not nervous when I took this thing before?

Once breakfast ended, students from other grades went to class, leaving Harry and his fifth-grade classmates, along with those seventh graders taking N.E.W.T.s.

Some leaned against the wall anxiously, while others walked back and forth in the entrance hall.

"Harry." Annie walked over to Harry, and said worriedly, "The exams are starting — what if I don’t do well?"

"I believe in you, Annie." Harry reached out to rub Annie’s soft hair, "Don’t worry, you need to trust that you definitely can, after all, you do two sets of homework alone, your basic theory should be no problem."

Annie bit her lip and looked up to glare at Harry.

"I’m comforting you, why are you glaring at me?" Harry asked helplessly, spreading his hands.

Annie didn’t say anything, and a while later, they were divided by house and grade, called into the hall team by team.

The hall was clearly rearranged, replaced with many small single tables, and a giant hourglass was placed on the staff’s seat at the front.

Harry didn’t follow them in, he walked outside the castle intending to get some fresh air.

"Not needing to take exams feels really good, doesn’t it?" Professor Dumbledore’s voice suddenly appeared.

Harry turned around and saw Dumbledore, with Professor Marchbank standing beside him.

"Hello, Professor Dumbledore, and Professor Marchbank." Harry nodded to greet them.

"Hello, Potter." Professor Marchbank stepped forward and said, somewhat happily, "Looks like besides Dumbledore, I can see another old acquaintance here? I must say, Potter, the impression you left me in exams is really deep."

"It seems I performed reasonably back then?" Harry scratched his head and asked.

"It’s not just reasonably, Mr. Potter." Professor Marchbank said with a smile, "You, Miss Malfoy, and Miss Grindelwald all left a deep impression on me... Of course, Miss Grindelwald was tested by me for her Magic Curse and Transfiguration in N.E.W.T.s, but unfortunately, the following year, I was delayed and didn’t come to Hogwarts, missing Miss Malfoy’s assessment."

"Seeing you so healthy makes me happy too." Harry said sincerely.

Professor Marchbank said a few more words before walking into the hall.

"I didn’t expect her to still be around." Harry remarked to Dumbledore.

The next sentence wasn’t uttered, but Dumbledore guessed what Harry wanted to say.

"How do you think their results will be?" Dumbledore casually looked into the hall and asked Harry.

"Hermione should get twelve ’O’s, I’m confident in her." Harry thought for a moment, then spoke again, "As for Ron, he should get around eight, but I’m not too sure, what if he really put effort in Professor Snape’s Magic Potion Class?"

"Yes, I heard you asked Severus to tutor Ron." Dumbledore laughed heartily, "I know how incompatible Severus and Ron are, perhaps if we get the chance, we can see how Severus tutors Ron, how about it?"

Saying this, Dumbledore blinked at Harry.

And indeed, Harry was quite tempted.

Seeing how Ron is tutored? It sure would be fun.

"This is the ordeal one must endure to become an Auror." Harry said steadfastly, "I believe Ron can definitely overcome this difficulty."

Time went by quickly, and before long, the exam ended.

"Hmm, it wasn’t too bad, right?" Two hours later, Hermione asked uneasily in the entrance hall, still tightly gripping the exam paper, "I’m not sure if I answered the Cheerful Spell correctly, I finished just in time. Did you write the decryption spell for hiccups? I’m uncertain if it should be included, maybe I wrote too much — plus question twenty-three —"

"Hermione," Ron said firmly, "the exam’s over... We don’t want to go through it again every time, once is enough."

Hermione reluctantly shut her mouth but kept wondering if she should find someone to compare answers?

But after thinking for a long time, she bitterly realized that there seemed to be no one in the entire fifth grade to compare answers with her.

"Hey, did it go well?" Harry walked over and asked them.

"There’s a practical exam this afternoon." Ron said, scratching his fiery red hair, "Earlier, Professor Marchbank — is that the name? I sort of forgot, she said she’ll test our Magic Curse this afternoon, I really don’t know if I’ll perform normally or be unlucky."

"You’ll perform exceptionally." At this moment, Hagrid somehow walked over and gave each of them a rabbit’s foot: "Here, this is a Lucky Rabbit’s Foot, wearing it gives a boosting luck effect — at least that’s what everyone believes, so I got you all some."

In many places in Europe, Africa, and America, people believe in this saying.

It is said that as early as 600 BC in Europe, this notion existed among the Celtic People in Britain. In different versions, the rabbit that provides the Lucky Rabbit’s Foot must have certain traits, or be in specific places or ways, or be killed by someone with special traits — such as a person with a squint.

Of course, Hagrid can be considered someone with traits too, after all, he is taller and stronger than ordinary people.

"Thank you, Hagrid." Hermione immediately put on the rabbit’s foot, she really needed this thing now, "Hope it helps me score better, wouldn’t you say?"

"Definitely no problem." Ron likewise put on the rabbit’s foot, "Thank you, Hagrid!"
