Heaven, Earth, Me

Chapter 1671. Finding a Place to Settle in the Twilight Cloud Sky World.

Chapter 1671: Chapter 1671. Finding a Place to Settle in the Twilight Cloud Sky World.

The world Yasenia arrived at was named [Twilight Cloud Sky World]. It was a world that followed the usual righteous, demonic, and neutral force structure. This time, though, the demonic and righteous forces were led by Demons and Divines.

There were many other species, and some of them had gained enough strength to stand at the peak of the world and compete with these two species. Still, these two species held most of the influence.

Ironically, because Demons and Divines ruled most of the world, the discrimination between Beasts, Beast Humans, and Humans was remarkably low. All three of them were species that gathered more in neutral forces.

Still, since Demons and Divines didn’t really discriminate when it came to reproduction, there were plenty of other species in the Demonic and Divine areas.

The world was also peculiar in the sense that there were no continents. Everything was one massive landmass that extended in a realm-type world for millions of kilometers. There were large "sea" areas, but there was nothing that could be called an ocean in the true sense.

Of course, these sea areas could become so massive that several normal worlds would fit inside them. Therefore, undersea powers existed, although somewhat detached from surface conflicts.

The cultivation was also focused on the Spiritual Path, with very, very few Soul Path cultivators. As for the true Body Path, it was as extinct as in any other location. There were body cultivators, but they were false body cultivators that focused on the Spiritual Path to train their bodies.

Interestingly, the opposite also existed even when the Soul Path was available. This was thanks to the ease of the Spiritual Path compared to the other two. As for people with both the Soul and Spiritual Path... they were rare but also existed.

To summarize, it was an interesting, complex, and richly developed world with a history dating back to the Heavenly Cataclysm. There were also plenty of ruins, secret realms, hidden zones, and even forbidden zones dating back to before the Heavenly Cataclysm.

All of this was information Yasenia and her maids discovered during their first three years in the Twilight Cloud Sky World.

The place they chose to land was slightly toward the edge of the central areas, where powerhouses converged. Yasenia chose this area because, as she was flying around, her dragon senses discovered an energy-rich valley.

This valley area was deep into a dangerous zone for the locals, though. Still, like in most cultivation worlds, edge areas usually lacked cultivation compared to the central areas. This world was not any different.

The locals of this area were mortals, and none of them had reached the Sixth Realm. After all, the shared dream of most cultivators, spread thanks to many influential individuals, was that of reaching the central area and making a name for yourself.

So, all talents signed up with sects and slowly climbed up to more central area sects as they became stronger and showed their talent. Those without talent... well, they became elders, sect masters, and cultivators at the edge of the world and settled down.

Yasenia’s group crossed the [Forbidden Azure Forest]. While it had "Forbidden" in its name, the reason was not that it was a Forbidden Area with Heavenly Limitations. It was because the locals were far too weak to cross the massive forest.

Yasenia discovered the reason soon enough.

"Who dares intrude into my sacred domain!?"

A voice boomed out from deep within the forest, shaking the very sky. Then, a massive, furry figure jumped from somewhere and landed in front of them with a massive boom, creating an earthquake that was probably heard from the city where Yasenia’s group came from.

The creature was somewhat difficult to describe. A massive, quadrupedal behemoth with bulging muscles and a fierce face. The glowing yellow eyes and agile-looking body resembled those of a mythical qilin, but instead of a dragon’s head and scales, it had a monkey’s face and fur.

The dark green fur with bright red markings was unique, and the strength flowing out of the mountain-dwarfing beast was nothing to joke around.

Yasenia muttered, her eyes full of curiosity. "A Level Eight Mythical Core Beast... Why is someone like Senior here?"

The behemoth was somewhat surprised by the woman’s accurate assessment. He, who had shooed away pests to make this place his territory several hundred thousand years ago, was somewhat annoyed that someone entered again.

Lately, more and more people were coming here out of curiosity, and he was getting tired of it all. Therefore, when Yasenia’s group came, he rushed out quite forcefully. Now that he was somewhat calmer, he realized that the group of over 300 in front of him was all Level 4 to 6 Immortals.

Moreover... As he focused on Yasenia, his fur puffed out as an invisible pressure slowly pressed down on him. ’B-Bloodline Suppression!? Impossible!’

Yasenia was not actively trying to suppress him at all. What the beast was feeling was Yasenia’s passive dragon bloodline. After going through the Dragon Paradise and all the recent breakthroughs, her bloodline had become increasingly pure and reached new levels. She, a true, low-level Immortal Beast Bloodline Rank, was basically unparalleled even in the Blue Pearl World, not to mention here.

"Whose daughter are you, dragon child?"

Sensing that bloodline, the behemoth didn’t make the mistake of mistaking Yasenia for a Beast Human. He was 100% clear that Yasenia was a True Dragon.

Yasenia smiled when she heard that. "I am her daughter. I do not come from any important beast clan of this world, Senior."

Tatyana nodded lightly at the giant beast after Yasenia pointed at her. The beast focused on Tatyana and showed a puzzled look. "Human...? A dragon born from a human?"

It was not unheard of, but it was so rare that even someone as ancient as him was only encountering it now for the first time. Tatyana blinked and smiled. "Not entirely human... but yeah."

Yasenia pinched Tatyana’s cheek. "Stop making people curious if you are not going to resolve that curiosity!"

"Okaahhyy..."

Yasenia laughed with a puff and hugged her gently. Then, she looked up and smiled. "Senior, we are not here with any ill intent. We want to settle in the valley far ahead. Is that Senior’s nest?"

The giant behemoth, now calmed, spoke with a less forceful voice. "Valley... Ah, that zone. Why would you go there? It is a dead zone for all I know."

Yasenia blinked and pondered. ’Do I tell him? Although we’ve interacted for a short time, this beast doesn’t seem to be greedy. If he was, he would’ve attacked me by now after calming down. If any beasts manage to eat my dragon core, they would most likely jump in rank several times.’

Even then, this ancient behemoth had zero greed in his eyes, only curiosity and cautiousness.

"Senior, I’ve sensed an incredible source of energy in that valley. That’s why I want to go there. Is it a problem?"

The behemoth pondered. "Source of energy... May I go take a look with you? I have my own nest nearby, so I want to check."

Yasenia smiled and nodded. "Sure. Let’s do that."

Beasts were mostly trustworthy, as they lacked the natural cunning of humans. Of course, blindly trusting one was a mistake. Still, it was not a problem to at least go along while being guarded.

So, the group moved together once more and soon arrived at the valley. As the giant behemoth had said, this zone looked dead on the surface. It was a massive expanse between mountains with little vegetation and a greyish soil.

Even at this distance, the Giant Behemoth couldn’t really detect the energy Yasenia was speaking of. Yasenia glanced around and nodded, then she transformed after jumping up.

Blinding light covered the sky for a moment before Yasenia descended from the sky. The behemoth’s eyes widened. ’Why is this dragon so large?’

He himself was around 10 kilometers tall and around 15 kilometers long. His body was bulky, so he truly looked like a walking mountain. Even then, compared to the dragon, he looked like a cute, toy animal.

Yasenia, completely dwarfing the behemoth, looked down and nodded. "I will move out, Senior."

Now, in her dragon form, the passive bloodline pressure became even clearer, causing the giant behemoth to act respectfully. "Go ahead, Young Dragon. Do not mind this old man."

Yasenia flapped her sky-shrouding wings, causing a giant shadow to cover the nearby mountains. Then, her body soared up as she flew toward the central area. Yasenia looked down from the sky, her golden-slit eyes focusing on the middle area of the valley.

"The source is there but... why is it hidden?"

Trying to unleash it without properly knowing why it was hidden in the first place would be reckless. Today, they had come not to settle here but to investigate.

"Even when I fly nearby, I do not feel anything wrong. There is no killing intent, and there is also no threat... It truly feels as if something is just squeezing the life of this area into one point."

The dead valley was not completely lifeless. Vegetation and some small animals moved around, having adapted to the large quantities of Death Energy. Even then, compared to a normal forest, it was barren.

"There are some interesting plants as well... I guess we can gather them before we unleash whatever is there. We have to be careful as well. This place can have up to Half-Step powerhouses. If something of that level appears, we will be in trouble without any preparation."

Remember that when they fought the Abyssal Human, it was under several suppression mechanisms. Still, it was because of their existence that their group couldn’t suppress the monster further. What they could do was create the offensive formation that helped defeat it.

If, for example, a Half-Step Transcendence powerhouse had been in the Abyssal Human’s place, he wouldn’t have been able to even move.

That is not to say they are harmless. Still, if Yasenia and the others can prepare suitable suppression formations, dealing with one of such beings was more than manageable. If they had trouble, they could even ask Behemoth Senior for help in exchange for some benefits.

Yasenia circled the area a few more times in her dragon form, and as she approached the girls, she lifted her Cosmic Form and shrank to her "normal" form.

The Behemoth Senior was once more stupefied when the dragon that dwarfed even him shrank to a human-sized level of slightly larger than a sturdy and large horse. ’...What is wrong with this Young Dragon?’

Now in her perfect size to become the mount of a dragon rider... or become a rider dragon, hehe, Yasenia commented. "I’ve pinpointed the central area. Still, I believe there is value to gathering some resources in the valley before that. I saw quite a few rare Death Attributed flora and fauna. All of them are mortal level, but they can grow nicely."

The girls nodded and began making plans while the mountain-sized behemoth listened docilely at the side. Now that he was calm and listening, he looked strangely adorable.
