Priam’s faction advanced straight through the center without hesitating for even a second, approaching the base of the mountain.

All the other forces kept a wide circle around the area. Staying in the center meant exposing themselves to attacks from every direction—a terribly disadvantageous position.

But Priam didn’t seem to care in the slightest.

Walking beside him was Dandara, radiating an aura that was truly incomparable.

Her clothes fluttered gracefully in the wind. She now possessed a fascinating, transcendent glow, making it impossible for any man to look away.

To anyone watching her, the first sensation was that of witnessing an entity far superior to mortal existence. Only after a few seconds would they notice her natural beauty.

Her curves were perfectly sculpted, and not a single flaw could be found in her features. She was a woman with a unique presence, capable of standing out anywhere.

In the past, any Mage who looked at her would immediately sense her beastly bloodline and would therefore show instant disdain without ever truly seeing her.

Now, everything had changed.

The divine charm radiating from her imprinted itself on the minds of spectators before they even noticed her bloodline, drastically altering the way they perceived her.

Beside her, Priam’s posture radiated unwavering confidence. But Dandara didn’t look out of place in the slightest.

On the contrary, it was as if the two were opposite sides of the same coin, perfectly complementing each other despite radiating completely different energies.

Right behind the pair stood six figures: the three generals and the three former Faction Leaders.

The six marched with their chins held high, followed by the two thousand Mages.

The faction took the position closest to the mountain and simply stopped to rest, closing their eyes and keeping their auras completely relaxed.

All around them, no one dared to make a sound. No one had the courage to provoke them.

Time passed in silence.

Half an hour later, a colossal curtain of dust rose into the air, and space began to tremble faintly.

A gigantic beast was approaching at an extremely high speed.

It was a colossal three-horned tiger with enormous wings—a Level 12 Heavenly Beast that showed no sign of corruption.

Standing on its back with his hands clasped behind him was a black-haired man.

His eyes looked like two dark stars, and a formless energy floated around him, causing the very fabric of space around him to darken.

"It’s Garand!"

Muted cries of terror erupted among the Mages from the most influential branches as they recognized the figure.

He was none other than the greatest genius the Sorcerers had sent on this mission. His information was widely known through the sect’s spy networks.

Just hearing that name was like having a war hammer crush your chest, making the air feel scarce.

Garand was a true bloodthirsty demon, famous for his sadistic temperament. He reveled in carnage, and his greatest pleasure was watching the despair on his victims’ faces in the seconds before he took their lives.

The tiger landed near the Sorcerers’ army. Garand swept his eyes over the terrified expressions of the surrounding Mages and smiled cruelly, licking his lips in anticipation of the slaughter that was approaching.

However, without wasting time on the crowd, he ordered his mount to advance straight toward the only group positioned at the center of everything.

Seeing Garand march toward Priam’s faction, many Mages watched the scene with malicious anticipation.

One kilometer away, the beast slowed down.

Garand stared at Priam with immense arrogance from atop his mount.

"You’re Priam?"

"If you already know, why the hell are you asking? Are you some kind of idiot?" Dandara replied, maintaining a lazy tone and an expression of absolute disdain.

"Hahahaha! Excellent! It’s been many years since someone last dared to speak to me in that tone," Garand genuinely laughed.

He showed no anger, but the murderous gleam in his pupils intensified terribly.

"Don’t get so excited. Do you really think you have the right to be arrogant? Riding a stupid cat is supposed to be so impressive? Get lost already. You’re annoying," Dandara continued, waving her hand as if shooing away an annoying fly.

"If you have something to say, say it already. If you want to die, then kill yourself already. The Boss is way too busy to waste time on you."

Suddenly, Dandara’s eyes lit up slightly, as if she’d just remembered a crucial detail.

"Oh, right... Before you kill yourself, dig your own grave and jump in. Everyone here is way too busy to go through the trouble of burying you."

The silence that followed was devastating.

All the Mages watching from afar swallowed hard. After all, who the hell was she talking about?! That was Garand!

Falling into that man’s hands meant that a quick death would be an unattainable privilege. Even the Sorcerers on his own side trembled in his presence.

And now, that woman was telling him to kill himself and dig his own grave?

That level of audacity was simply unbelievable.

Besides, that woman didn’t seem to possess any truly threatening aura of power. The feeling she gave off when looking at her was merely strange, but there was no palpable power.

In the spectators’ eyes, she was merely a Level 9 Mage Disciple—and, to top it off, a half-beast.

"Hahaha! Hahahaha!"

Garand laughed madly, the sound echoing like shattering glass.

"Very well... Very well! Half-beast, I’ve personally decided how I’m going to take your life. I really want to see if you’ll keep barking this nonsense when you’re writhing in my hands..."

What no one expected was for Garand to attack without any warning.

He didn’t even seem to move his feet. His speed was so absurd that his figure simply vanished like a ghost in the air.

By the time the crowd managed to react, his clawed hand was already one meter away from piercing Dandara’s throat.

Priam, who remained with his eyes closed, didn’t even move.

At the exact moment Garand’s fingers were about to touch Dandara’s skin, a blade of ice sliced through the air, striking the attacker’s chest.

The power behind the attack was so overwhelming that the very fabric of space tore apart into silver cracks.

"Eh?"

Garand frowned in pure surprise. He hadn’t expected an ice woman to possess such brutally powerful offensive strength that she could distort space-time.

Even he couldn’t ignore the threat. The most shocking part was the unwavering will and indomitable battle spirit imbued within that frozen blade.

Garand’s original plan was simple: capture Dandara in a single move, drag her away, and torture her to death in front of everyone to humiliate Priam. He was absolutely certain that even if the group reacted, it would already be too late.

Forced to change his trajectory in midair, Garand flexed his fist and struck the ice sword with a blood-red palm.

*CRASH!*

The impact generated a violent shockwave.

Shione felt as if the bones in her arms were about to shatter, and her blood boiled in her veins. She staggered back three heavy steps across the ground, nearly coughing up a mouthful of blood.

That man had easily repelled her full-powered attack with overwhelming strength. He was truly terrifying.

However, while Shione was regaining her footing, Garand himself was stunned.

Although it looked like an improvised strike, he had used eighty percent of his total strength in that bloody palm. Any Level 1 Mage Master like that woman would have been reduced to a mist of flesh and bone.

Yet Shione had merely been forced back a few steps, without suffering any serious internal injuries!

Garand had no time to process that anomaly. After repelling Shione, he spun around to finally charge at Dandara, when...

...a scorching sphere of fire materialized just centimeters from his head.

"WHAT?!"

Garand froze. That attack had appeared completely outside the range of his senses, materializing beside him before he could even raise a defensive barrier!

If it were a weak spell, he would have simply ignored it. But the instant the sphere pulsed, all his survival instincts screamed in absolute terror.

That flame carried truly devastating power! How was that possible?!

It was in that millisecond that the realization finally hit him. Priam hadn’t moved, and his faction had remained indifferent not because of ignorance or slowness...

...but because they simply weren’t afraid of him in the slightest.

A blind, overwhelming fury consumed his soul.

Those worms dared to look down on his existence?!

With an icy growl, dense corruption energy enveloped his hand, and Garand punched the sphere of fire with all his strength.

*BOOOM!*

The fireball shattered in a solar explosion, but the destructive will imbued within the flames ricocheted against his body.

Garand was forced to take three heavy steps backward, an expression of shock and terror clearly etched across his face.

The crowd watching from a distance was left catatonic.

The silence that followed was broken by muffled cries of utter disbelief.

"Impossible! Garand... him?!"

"He was forced to retreat?! Who the hell is that man?!"

"Those two from earlier are Priam’s generals?! What kind of monsters are walking beside him?! The ice woman blocked a killing blow, and the other one made Garand retreat in fear!"

Lumiere and Shione straightened their postures and let out short sighs, maintaining completely cold and indifferent expressions for the public.

Internally, however, their hearts burned with pride.
