Priam’s faction soldiers tightened their grips on their weapons, cold sweat running down their faces. The terror inspired by that overwhelming tide was an unavoidable instinct, but not a single one of them retreated.
Then, every gaze fixed on the back of the figure standing at the front.
Priam gazed at the wave of corruption emerging from the heavens. Then, without the slightest hesitation, he laughed loudly, staring at Garand in the distance.
"You really thought that alone would be enough? EVERYONE! TIME TO WIPE THESE BASTARDS OUT FOR GOOD!"
With a roar that echoed throughout the valley, Priam leaped toward the heavens.
[Use Power Rune?] [Yes / No]
*RUMBLE!*
A violent boom erupted. An overwhelming aura exploded from his body, making space itself tremble and destabilizing the sky.
It was the power of an advanced-level Berserker Power Rune, which he had prepared for this very moment. Its potential was simple and straightforward: multiply his physical power for a limited time.
At the exact same millisecond, Priam’s pupils lit up with an incandescent golden glow.
"Heavenly Battle Armor!"
*BOOOOOM!*
The sky transformed instantly. The black fog of corruption was swept away by an ocean of golden, sacred light.
At the epicenter of that storm, Priam stood like a god clad in gleaming armor. However, the violence and pressure radiating from his body were far closer to those of an untamable monster than a divine being.
"What kind of power is that...?! How terrifying!"
Cries of fear and shock erupted throughout the area. Even the tide of Corrupted Beasts halted its advance for a second, frozen before that presence.
No one there had ever imagined that a Mage could reach such a level. Even without being directly struck by his power, everyone could feel that the residual pressure from his attack alone was enough to tear the weaker ones apart.
That level of power definitely didn’t belong to a Mage Master. Perhaps only a Sage could fight him head-on now.
The hearts of Priam’s faction soldiers were pounding wildly. That man was an absolute phenomenon, a being who defied logic with every step.
But Priam wasn’t finished.
He drew in a deep breath, clenched his fists... and lines of luminous green appeared across the entire surface of his golden light armor.
*WOOOOOOOOOOSH!*
A furious storm of wind enveloped the world. From those emerald markings, devastating elemental energy erupted, merging with the golden light.
The Berserker Power Rune burned at its peak.
The Heavenly Battle Armor covered his body.
The Elemental Physique was fully activated.
At that moment, Priam was operating at 100% of his capacity.
Even he himself wouldn’t have been able to measure the limits of the strength he carried.
Suddenly, the air currents around him stabilized, and the golden radiance vanished as if it had never existed. However, that sudden silence only made everyone’s terror even deeper.
Priam had condensed and locked every drop of that colossal energy inside his own flesh. Nothing leaked out. No energy was wasted.
Apparently, calm had returned... but the spirits of the spectators would never return to normal.
**ROAAAAAR!**
Driven by their degraded intelligence, the Corrupted Beasts were the first to break out of their stupor. The toxic mist surged forward again, and the horde charged in an insane frenzy toward Priam’s faction.
He, however, simply landed on the ground.
The instant his foot touched the earth, the ground shattered into spiderweb-like cracks.
The next millisecond, his figure disappeared, crossing kilometers in the blink of an eye.
Priam reappeared directly in front of the Sorcerers’ vanguard, less than 30 meters away, like a specter of death.
"What insane speed!"
Panic took hold of the Sorcerers. No one had seen the slightest trace of his movement. If they had been fighting him directly, their heads would have been severed before they even realized he was approaching.
Garand swallowed his fear and forced an expression of disdain, roaring at the top of his lungs:
"KILL HIM!"
His sword trembled, howling as a sickly light came to life along its edge. With a brutal thrust, he swung the blade toward Priam’s chest, accompanied by the simultaneous drawing of hundreds of weapons around him.
In a single second, the aura of corruption emitted by thousands of Sorcerers fused into a single attack.
The corruption condensed into several colossal blades that covered the sky, advancing from every direction to slice Priam in half.
It was a combined attack from thousands of Sorcerers against a single Mage.
But...
Priam merely smiled. And threw a straight punch into the storm.
**KBOOOOOOM!**
At the moment of impact, reality itself seemed to collapse. Dozens of kilometers away, watching Mages fell to their knees with their eardrums ruptured, blood pouring from their ears.
"LOOK OUT!"
The terrified scream was swallowed by the horrifying shockwave that swept across the world. When the ripple reached the ground, gigantic rocks were pulverized into fragments that shot through the air like projectiles. The slower ones were swallowed by the storm of force and reduced to shapeless masses on the ground.
Even Garand couldn’t withstand the pressure. He and the surviving elite were forced to retreat in panic. In that single collision, more than half of the Sorcerers simply exploded into a bloody mist! What kind of strength was that?!
The survivors burned talismans and ancient inscriptions to escape in every direction to a safe distance.
Priam snorted, spinning on his heels.
He had already killed many of them by surprise, but he couldn’t waste time hunting down the fugitives.
He shot forward, then plunged headfirst into the ocean of Corrupted Beasts.
*BOOOM! BOOOM! BOOOM!*
His speed was so great that no one could see his figure. The horizon turned into a spectacle of explosions and uninterrupted sprays of black blood staining the skies.
"How can there be such a gap?! We’re Level 9 Mage Masters too! Is this the true power of a Celestial Mage?!"
Even the imposing Impure Beasts and Calamity Beasts trembled. Everyone knew that if they tried to approach that area of effect, they would be vaporized by mere secondary shockwaves.
Arvid and Mo Lan kept their fists clenched until their skin bled, their eyes fixed on the epicenter, trying to see that figure who had once seemed so approachable.
"Every time I see the Boss fight, I feel my blood boiling," Dandara muttered, filled with wild excitement.
Now, free from the fear of being a burden, her soul yearned to fight.
Every one of Priam’s charges radiated an indomitable courage that resonated with the very laws of the world, igniting the determination of everyone around him.
"Enough talking! It’s time to fight with everything you’ve got!"
Dandara roared, brandishing her weapons as she commanded the charge.
Priam had drawn more than half of the hundred-thousand-strong horde toward himself, massacring dozens with every swing of his fist. It was up to his faction to hold back the rest.
That was the plan. Simple and straightforward.
"KIIIIILL!!!"
With a roar in unison, the force of more than two thousand Mages charged forward without hesitation against the tide of Corrupted Beasts.
