Hero Of Darkness

Chapter 1280: The Planned Outpost

Maliketh Baal, the current Demon Emperor, declared the horns of war on the world as the long-awaited Great War was finally happening in the new timeline.

Compared to the original, this phenomenon took place way earlier than it was supposed to, but at the moment, nothing really stayed true to the original path.

Kahn met Argos and Morpheus way earlier, but in a different order, while the veiled existence of the Demon God itself resurrected itself 70 years earlier than the original timeline.

And the Demon God was seemingly aware of most of the changes brought by original Kahn, aka the Martial Emperor. On top of it, he was also aware of Kassandra’s existence and had been monitoring her for years before anybody even knew.

The Demon Emperor basically indicated that the Demon God had ways to see the changes in the timeline and even shift his own past as if he had a method or a power to inform his original self that lived in the past.

How could a being like that not prepare beforehand, even someone like Morpheus Constantine, the 8th Hero of Darkness?

Whether all these changing events in the new timeline would actually create an uncertain future or the plans made by the old players would come to fruition without any adverse effect... it remained to be seen.

Meanwhile, within the confines of the Rakos Empire...

The imperial palace, now inhabited by Kahn Salvatore, the new Emperor, was brimming with the light of sunset as an invisible ship arrived on one landing zones.

Swoosh!

Kahn, Kassandra, Vildred, and all his subordinates had returned home.

Argos Belmont, the Revenant Sovereignm had left again to protect the unified forces on the border of the Khorne Empire.

And today in particular would be a decisive event towards their own path regarding the Great War.

Kahn did not waste time and met the Cosmic Replica that he left behind to manage the Rakos Empire while he was making arrangements in the hidden Abyss Empire for the last couple of months.

After absorbing and syncing his memories with the replica, he came to understand the progression of some of his plans that were being worked on in the background.

He set up a meeting with the faction heads of the noble factions, the military commanders, and generals, while the newly elected ministers reported the overall state of affairs.

"Good. Now that we have enough, I will officially embark on the southern border," said Kahn as he made an official visit to basically his first home in Vantrea...

The Flavot City.

Kahn, as the reigning emperor, made an official visit to the place where his beginning in the new world cemented itself.

And the fumes of industrial smoke dispersed in the sky, along with millions of people gathered, working relentlessly throughout the city, came into sight.

This time, Kahn’s entourage was led by Oliver as the Commander of the Imperial Air Forces.

The dozens of flying warships, accommodating hundreds of thousands of soldiers, hovered over the city as people stood in awe.

The current atmosphere of the city had changed, and now, it was at least 3 times as densely populated as before.

After completing the necessary ceremonies, Kahn summoned a certain group of people.

As for the reason why Flavot City had changed so much... it was for an important reason.

A group of merchants led by none other than Nikola and Elanev, the father and son duo, now kneeled in front of Kahn, who was guarded by Omega and the other Royal Guards.

"The Outpost is near completion, your majesty." said the old man Nikola.

This time, his beard was trimmed and proper, while he looked much healthier as well.

"At most, we shall require 2 more weeks before it can be officially launched to the rest of the empire.

We have already sent over key resources for their accommodations. No one should have any qualms with our arrangements," said Elanev, who got rid of his mustache and looked like a man of regality and authority.

"I’m pleased. Leaving you two in charge was the best decision indeed." spoke Kahn with a pleased countenance.

What they were creating at the border of the Flavot City was... a Grand Military Outpost.

While he was gone, the Cosmic Replica left by Kahn dedicated a lot of resources along with the Imperial Forces and the 3 factions to create this base that expanded to 300 kilometers on the border of the Rakos Empire.

Behind Nikola and Elanev were two more familiar figures who then took their turn and spoke...

"We were able to develop everything necessary without any major problems thank to his majesty’s help." said Albestros, the now Master Blacksmith of the Rakos Empire.

The Bloodborne Company, led by him, was in charge of all the required industrial development for facilitating a great army. And due to his vast experience in running an enterprise, which was even envied and respected by the three noble factions, the progress increased by 5 times, and a nearly impossible task was accomplished within just two months.

"Our finances also haven’t taken a hit, and the monetary assets, as well as reserves you ordered me to prepare, are also ready.

Given our current capacity... we can endure any war for the next 7 years even if we lost a considerable amount of our forces." responded Sirius Blake, the green orc who was the current Chief Finance Minister of the Rakos Empire.

From the shadows, he also commanded the Seven Deadly Sins underworld organization as Kahn’s proxy for almost 5 years at this point.

Sirius not only controlled the coin but also led the construction of buildings, outposts, and barracks to accommodate millions of trained soldiers.

In today’s day and age, land is still the most coveted and considerably safer investment, so leading such a big project was going to cost a lot of money.

After gathering from both the Rakos Empire and Seven Deadly Sins’ treasuries... Sirius led and controlled everything include the cost of materials or the wages of the workers.

Flavot City became the cornerstone for the manpower, and also, due to dozens of dungeons in the area, it became easy to farm materials and other resources, while big batches of materials came from different corners of the empire.

"The current facility is capable enough to house at least 100 million warriors." stated Sirius as he bowed with respect.

"And these are just initial numbers since the territory will have to expand later." he gave his own affirmation.

"Thank you all. Without your expertise and tireless dedication, none of it could have become reality." said Kahn as he praised all the people, including those serving under these 4 key figures.

As for the soldiers, he was going to a house in this military outpost...

None of them was from the Rakos Empire.
