--Chapter 25--

Title: Three Gorgeous Maids [1]

After dinner, the three women stood in the main hall of the manor while Takeshi looked over them.

Nyxara was still wearing the same clothes she’d fought in, though whatever had once made them respectable had long since been lost to battle, travel and her general refusal to behave like a civilized person. Solaria’s clothes weren’t much better, although she had somehow managed to keep hers relatively neat. Lana, naturally, looked the least affected by the entire ordeal.

Takeshi’s gaze lingered on them for another moment.

This wasn’t going to work.

The problem wasn’t simply that their clothes were damaged. It was what those clothes represented. The three women had been sealed away for centuries, dragged out of their respective confinements and immediately thrown into a world where their existence was already enough to cause trouble.

And then there was the agreement with the Church.

He couldn’t simply walk through Eldrath with three monsters following him around in whatever forms they preferred.

That would defeat the entire purpose of the arrangement.

Takeshi folded his arms. "From now on, when you’re with me in the kingdom, you’re going to appear as my maids."

Nyxara’s eyebrow rose.

"Maids?"

"Yes."

She looked down at herself, then back at him. "You’re serious?"

"Unfortunately."

Nyxara’s expression twisted as though he’d personally offended her. "You dragged me out of a sealed room, made me fight through a Tower, and now you want to put me in a maid outfit."

Takeshi stared at her.

"You make it sound worse than it is. And you were there when I made the deal."

"I don’t care, because it is worse than it sounds."

Lana’s lips curved faintly. "You were already behaving like a maid when you served him earlier."

Nyxara’s head snapped towards her. "I was helping my Master."

"Of course, little demoness."

The immediate silence that followed was almost impressive.

Nyxara’s eyes narrowed.

Takeshi glanced between them. There it was again. Whatever history existed between Lana and Nyxara, it was definitely older than anything he understood.

"You know," Takeshi said, "if you two are going to start arguing, at least give me some context."

"There’s no context," Nyxara replied immediately.

"There is considerable context," Lana said at the same time.

Nyxara turned towards her. "Lana."

The vampire merely smiled.

Takeshi sighed. "Forget it."

He’d ask eventually. Probably when Nyxara wasn’t within striking distance of Lana.

His attention shifted towards Solaria.

She had been standing slightly behind him since they’d entered the hall, as though the safest place in the entire manor was somewhere hidden behind his shoulder. The moment she noticed his gaze, she straightened slightly.

"Solaria."

"Yes, Master?"

"You’re fine with this?"

She looked towards Nyxara, then Lana, before lowering her eyes. "If it is what you want, then I will do it."

Her answer was exactly what Takeshi expected from her.

He turned back towards the other two.

"Lana?"

"I find the arrangement practical. Your kind are quite easy to please "

"Of course ..."

Lana’s smile deepened. "It solves several problems at once."

That was precisely why he’d chosen it.

The Church didn’t want Nyxara and the others walking around in their original forms. Takeshi didn’t particularly care about their concerns, but he did care about keeping the agreement intact until he had enough influence to make their complaints irrelevant.

Besides, having three beautiful women following him around while openly displaying horns, wings and other non-human traits wasn’t exactly subtle.

Maid uniforms were different.

They could walk beside him without immediately announcing what they were.

More importantly, it gave Takeshi control over how they were presented.

His eyes moved across the three women again.

"Then that’s settled."

Nyxara groaned. "I still don’t like it."

"You’ll survive."

"I survived the Tower. That’s not the same thing."

Takeshi ignored her and focused on the Eternal Pact.

Until now, the Pact had mostly been something he understood as a connection between himself and his summons. It allowed him to summon them, maintain their bonds and benefit from their abilities.

But after everything that had happened since entering the Tower, he’d started realizing that the Pact could probably do more.

The thought alone was enough.

Something deep inside Takeshi responded.

A warm sensation spread through his chest, followed by a faint pulse of mana.

His eyes narrowed.

There it was.

The same feeling he’d experienced when the system had responded to his thoughts before.

Only this time, it wasn’t the Herogasm System.

The connection between him and the three women tightened.

Nyxara’s expression changed first.

"What did you just do?"

"I haven’t done anything yet."

"That’s what worries me."

Takeshi almost smiled.

A faint glow appeared around the three women.

It wasn’t the same light as the Tower’s golden radiance. This was softer, closer to mana itself, and he could feel it responding to his imagination rather than simply following a predetermined command.

That caught his attention.

He had assumed the Eternal Pact would simply provide them with whatever attire the system considered appropriate.

But that wasn’t what was happening.

The moment Takeshi imagined what he wanted them to look like, the light shifted.

His eyes widened slightly.

So I can actually decide?

The glow around Nyxara intensified first, dark crimson motes gathering around her body. Solaria was enveloped in pale silver light while Lana’s transformation began beneath a mixture of crimson and gold.

The three women instinctively looked down.

Nyxara’s tail flicked behind her.

Solaria immediately moved closer to Takeshi without even realizing she’d done it.

Lana, meanwhile, simply watched the light gathering around herself with an interested expression.

Then the translucent notifications appeared before Takeshi’s eyes.

[Eternal Pact — New Function Detected]

[Analyzing Master’s command...]

[Intent confirmed: Formal service designation for all bonded units.]

Takeshi stared at the words.

A second notification appeared.

[Function Unlocked: Formal Attire Protocol]

[Bonded units may now manifest dedicated service attire according to the Master’s will.]

[Attire is generated directly from the Eternal Pact.]

[No external materials or preparation required.]

Takeshi’s eyebrows rose.

So it really was part of the Pact.

Not something they had to wear.

Something the Pact itself could create.

The light around the three women suddenly became denser.

[Manifestation in Progress]

[Nyxara — Combat Maid Form]

[Solaria — Support Maid Form]

[Lana De Reyes — Head Maid Form]

Takeshi’s gaze moved from one woman to another.

For some reason, Nyxara was grinning.

Solaria looked like she wanted to hide.

And Lana...

Lana looked entirely too amused.

Takeshi had a feeling that whatever he had imagined for them, he was about to find out how much chaos it could cause.
