Herogasm: My SSS-Ranked Maids Can Do Everything!
Chapter 37: [37]Going for Control--Chapter 37--
Title: Going for Control
Takeshi’s eyes settled on Lana as he straightened up on the couch. His eyes anxious and expecting of an answer.
"Preparations for rift space operations."
Takeshi’s brows arched up as his expression became a lot more defined and serious.
"Just heroes?" He asked, seeking better understanding.
"Among others," Lana’s gaze remained steady as he continued. "Your name has started appearing in those discussions. Erling’s as well."
Takeshi’s arched brows receded and for his mouth to adopt the change in the form of a frown.
"They’re already preparing to send us out?"
"Not formally." She waved her head. "But rumors have started moving amongst the rats."
Takeshi let out a slow breath. Knowing things like this before hand was one of the reasons, he had Lana plant surveillance seeds everywhere in the palace.
It was more than obvious now that the Tower record had made him visible. And his summons made him interesting even if they might not be sure if they could trust him.
But trust means nothing if he can be useful. Which is what Takeshi hated. He didn’t like being useful to people he didn’t trust.
"Can you tell me what they are planning with details?"
"That details are still unclear for now," Lana’s expression remained unbothered. "As I said, the rats of the palace know so it’s not a big deal."
Takeshi remained quiet for a moment. Taking in the information or better still, the lack of concrete information.
At this point, this was more of a tip than it something definitely.
He had only became relevant in this world for a few days, yet people were already deciding what might be his fate.
’Damn...’ he thought.
They’d pulled him here without his consent once. But controlling the strings of his life while he was here was something he wouldn’t allow.
"Keep listening," he turned tongue Head Maid.
Lana nodded as she slid a hand over his shoulder drawing side glares from Solaria.
"I will..." She whispered.
Takeshi shook his head. He knew what Lana was playing at. As much as this summons looked different from humans. Their behaviours sure do feel human.
Anyways, he was still green about dealings in Eldrath, and the more he learned, the clearer that became.
For now, however, he had enough to know that sitting still would not make things simpler.
Not like he planned to sit still...in the first place.

Solaria had gone back to arranging the room, but her hands were a little too precise.
Takeshi noticed it after watching her for a few seconds.
She had been quiet since the conversation shifted away from Lana, carefully putting things back where they belonged.
There was nothing obviously wrong with her, but the movements were more deliberate than usual, as though she was actively trying to seduce him while carrying out basic tasks.
Takeshi’s attention followed her as she crossed the room. Her maid uniform looked slightly different now.
The skirt was pulled higher than it had earlier, revealing more of her thighs and her decision to go commando whenever she bent over.
It was so subtle and unexpected that someone who wasn’t paying attention might not notice, but Takeshi did.
Solaria seemed to realize that he was watching. Her hands paused briefly before continuing with the task.
She wasn’t as comfortable in the uniform or at least been watched so closely, as Nyxara.
That much was obvious.
Nyxara had worn her uniform as though it had been designed specifically for her, with none of Solaria’s hesitation.
Solaria, on the other hand, still seemed to be discovering how much of herself she was willing to show while wearing it.
Takeshi found that interesting. And exactly as they say. "Speak of the devil and he would appear."
Nyxara appeared from the corridor before he could think much more about it. She looked completely unharmed and entirely unbothered.
Judging by the way she walked, whatever had made that heavy noise earlier had almost certainly been her fault.
She glanced around the room. A devious smile stayed teasing on her face.
"You’re all standing around like someone died. Did the market steal your sense of fun?"
"No," Takeshi replied. "It reminded me that I can be more."
Nyxara’s eyebrows rose as she gestured to the Master’s bedroom.
"You just bought new gear, What more do you want?"
"The ability to survive if someone throws me into a Rift."
Nyxara’s expression change.Just enough for the amusement to leave her face.
Solaria also stopped what she was doing.
Takeshi looked between them. He was by no means joking now.
The fight in the street had been easy, but that didn’t mean it had proven he was ready for everything Eldrath could throw at him.
His body had improved considerably since arriving in this world. The Tower had pushed him further than he had expected, and his summons continued to provide him with abilities and growth he couldn’t have achieved alone.
But there was still a gap that he could close. He could become stronger. But that didn’t mean he knew how to use that strength properly.
Takeshi looked down at his hands. He had never considered himself helpless before being summoned into this world.
He had simply been living a normal life in a world where normal people didn’t need to know how to kill monsters.
Eldrath had changed that requirement all together. The basic knowledge of the reason behind his summoning had appeared in his mind the moment he was summoned. So he knew better.
If the kingdom eventually sent him into a Rift, having strong summons wouldn’t be enough.
Looking at the women. He changed that thought. They definitely could be enough. But Takeshi was never one to leave his fate on others.
He needed to be capable of standing on his own. At the very least, he needed control.
Takeshi raised his head and looked at Solaria.
"You are a healer. You already know how to keep power from running wild right?"
Solaria blinked, her lips prying open quickly.
"Master?"
"I want you to teach me," Takeshi made his intention clear.
Her expression changed immediately. "Teach you?"
"Yes..., Mana control and body discipline. Whatever comes before strength." Takeshi’s gaze remained on her. "I can feel more power than I can use properly. I need to change that."
Nyxara let out a short laugh, rolling her eyes at Solaria. "You’re asking her to teach you how to fight?"
"I’m asking her to teach me control," Takeshi glanced toward Nyxara.
"You can teach me how to break people later."
That immediately placed a grin back into Nyxara’s face as she nodded. "Now that’s something I can work with."
Lana watched the exchange with quiet interest. "A sensible division of responsibilities."
Takeshi looked at her. "You sound surprised."
"Actually, I’m pleased," The vampire retorted.
Solaria’s fingers tightened slightly around the cleaning cloth she was holding before relaxing again.
"If that is what you want, Master, I can teach you the foundations."
Takeshi didn’t need to repeat himself. Solaria understood the answer clearly.
"I will serve you however you want, Master!"
Takeshi gave a small nod of his own. That settled it.
Tomorrow, he would begin actual training. He didn’t want to be the next Chuck Norris but he understood.
Relying on his summons for everything would eventually become a weakness.
He had the possibilities of their power.
Now he needed control.
