"My turn… Draw!"
As the turn changed and Hokusai returned to Hoshino's field, control of the Duel passed to Kaiba Man.
However, Kaiba Man only had a single face-down card remaining, and the only card in his hand was the one he had just drawn.
Although King's Synchro had allowed him to Synchro Summon Heroic Spirit – Achilles last turn, the overwhelming pressure from the two powerful True Draco monsters still left them in a difficult position.
Hoshino reminded him:
"Even though Achilles has 4000 ATK — enough to surpass both Master Peace, the True Dracoslaying King and Metaltron XII — because of the Field Spell Dragonic Diagram, each Tribute Summoned 'True Draco' monster cannot be destroyed by battle once per turn."
Of course, Metaltron XII, which possessed immunity to Monsters, Spells, and Traps thanks to its Tribute materials, was unaffected by Dragonic Diagram's protection.
That meant only the True Dracoslaying King still had its once-per-turn battle destruction protection.
"And we also need to watch out for that strange Continuous Trap, King's Proof," Hoshino added.
After all, every time one of her Wyrms was attacked, she drew a card — and if it was a Spell Card, she could activate it immediately.
No one could predict what would happen next.
At this point, the Duel had become less of a battle of strategy and more of a gamble.
Kaiba Man snorted.
"Hmph. There's no need to be so cautious, Hoshino! Holding back has never been my style! No matter the situation, I attack with everything I have and carve out the path to victory!"
Hoshino shot back:
"Maybe you should look at your own hand first! You've only got one card left. What kind of miracle are you planning to pull off?"
The dragon girl's explosive one-card combo had only been possible because of the synergy between her already-active Continuous Trap, Field Spell, and the True Draco monsters themselves.
Neither Hoshino nor Kaiba Man had anything remotely that powerful.
"The Spell Card I drew this turn is… Advance Draw!"
Kaiba Man placed his only card onto his Duel Disk.

"I Tribute the Level 8 monster on our field — Heroic Spirit – Katsushika Hokusai — and draw two cards!"
"W-Wait… Master, I…"
Before Hokusai could even finish speaking, she disappeared into the white light of the Tribute.
"…Huh?"
Hoshino's jaw dropped.
It felt as though ten thousand Fou were stampeding through her mind.
"I worked so hard to Synchro Summon Hokusai, and you Tributed her just to draw two cards?! If you're going to run a card like that, why not just play Pot of Greed?!"
Whenever Kaiba used Advance Draw, Hoshino had always wondered the same thing.
At least Kaiba usually Tributed his own Blue-Eyes White Dragon, and justified it with his absurd philosophy of "drawing power inherited from the White Dragon."
But Kaiba Man…
Without a second thought, he had simply Tributed Hokusai.
Completely unapologetically.
"Even if I hadn't Tributed Hokusai," Kaiba Man replied matter-of-factly, "do you really think a monster with no destruction protection would survive even one turn against Master Peace, the True Dracoslaying King?"
With the True Dracoslaying King's once-per-turn destruction effect, the standards for monsters on their side of the field had become extremely high.
If a monster lacked destruction immunity…
It wasn't even qualified to stay on the field.
Hoshino Alter chimed in:
["Besides, Aibo, you cut down Kaiba's wife earlier, so I'd say you're even now."]

Hoshino clicked her tongue.
"I… can't even argue with that."
"Everything rides on this draw!"
Kaiba Man dramatically drew two cards, stretching out the final word in classic Kaiba fashion.
Glancing sideways at the cards, a satisfied smile spread across his face.
"The Heroic Spirit's soul has opened a new path for us, Hoshino!"
"I'd better not regret sacrificing Hokusai."
Without hesitation, Kaiba Man immediately placed one of the newly drawn cards onto his Duel Disk.
"Now descend and deliver the whip of absolute defeat! Ritual Spell — Chaos Form!"

Behind Kaiba Man, a massive Gate of Chaos materialized and was forced open.
A ritual of intertwining light and darkness awakened the final monster in his hand.
"Roar… and shatter this world apart! Blue-Eyes Chaos MAX Dragon!!"

Lightning danced around its enormous body as the Chaos MAX Dragon spread its wings and unleashed an earth-shaking roar.
Hoshino couldn't help but sigh.
"The ultimate scrub destroyer is finally here."
This Blue-Eyes Chaos MAX Dragon, summoned by Kaiba, Atem, and now Kaiba Man, had truly become the signature Ritual Blue-Eyes monster.
Most importantly…
Its immunity to being targeted or destroyed by the opponent's effects meant Master Peace could no longer simply destroy it.
"This farce ends now!"
Without wasting another second after the Ritual Summon, Kaiba Man entered the Battle Phase.

He targeted the dragon girl's Master Peace, the True Dracoslaying King.

As if determined to match Kaiba Man's miraculous draw with Chaos Form, she drew with equal confidence.
Shards of ice scattered from her Duel Disk under the sunlight.
"I drew the Equip Spell — Bashing Shield! I equip it to Master Peace, the True Dracoslaying King!"
Empowered by the Equip Spell, the True Dracoslaying King raised the shield engraved with the Wyrm Star Crest and smashed it against Chaos MAX Burst.

Since a Tribute Summon is also a Normal Summon, the Equip Spell worked perfectly.

Hoshino frowned.
"Its ATK surpassed Chaos MAX's!"

Kaiba Man shouted.
"Keep blasting, Blue-Eyes Chaos MAX Dragon!"
Inspired by the dragon girl's determination, Kaiba Man fixed his gaze on the point where the shield and Chaos MAX Burst collided.
The dragon girl smiled confidently.
"Stop pretending, Kaiba Man. The moment I drew an Equip Spell… luck chose my side."
The legendary shield and the strongest Master Peace, the True Dracoslaying King slowly pushed back Chaos MAX Burst.
"Absolute power crushes even luck!"
Kaiba Man suddenly flipped over his final face-down card.
"Now descend, wings of the Tyrant that blot out the heavens! Shake this world of chaos!"
Pointing toward Chaos MAX Dragon, he declared:
"I activate the Trap Card — Tyrant Wing!"
[Target 1 Dragon monster; equip this card to it. It gains 400 ATK/DEF and can attack monsters twice each Battle Phase.]
Bathed in radiant evolution, Chaos MAX Dragon's wings expanded dramatically.
Empowered by the Tyrant's might, one flap of its wings seemed capable of splitting the heavens.

Its increased ATK completely reversed the battle.
Chaos MAX Burst overwhelmed the star-emblazoned shield and swallowed Master Peace, the True Dracoslaying King whole.
Eve finally breathed again.
"Seriously! If you had a Trap that boosted its ATK, you should've activated it sooner! You nearly gave us a heart attack!"
Hoshino shook her head.
"He couldn't. If he'd activated Tyrant Wing earlier, the True Dracoslaying King would've destroyed it immediately with its effect."
"That's why Kaiba Man waited until the very last moment before battle damage."
At that instant, only effects that modified ATK and DEF could legally be applied.
Kaiba Man nodded.
"As expected of you, Hoshino. You understood exactly why I waited. And there's another effect. A Dragon equipped with Tyrant Wing can attack monsters twice this turn!"
When the light of Chaos MAX Burst faded, the battered True Dracoslaying King emerged.
The once-mighty shield had melted by more than half.
The dragon girl gritted her teeth.
"Thanks to Dragonic Diagram, the True Dracoslaying King cannot be destroyed by battle once this turn! And because it's equipped with Bashing Shield, I take no battle damage!"
She immediately pointed toward Chaos MAX Dragon.
"Don't think you've earned a second chance!"
"I activate the True Dracoslaying King's effect! I banish a True Draco Continuous Spell from my Graveyard to destroy Tyrant Wing!"
With a single flash of its blade, the True Dracoslaying King severed the radiant Tyrant Wing from Chaos MAX Dragon's back.

Without Tyrant Wing, Chaos MAX Dragon once again had less ATK than the True Dracoslaying King.
More importantly…
It lost its ability to attack a second time.
Sending the destroyed Trap to the Graveyard, Kaiba Man calmly looked at the dragon girl.
"I knew you would destroy Tyrant Wing. You had to stop Chaos MAX's second attack."
The dragon girl replied confidently:
"Exactly."
"Without Tyrant Wing, you can't defeat the True Dracoslaying King this turn!"
"You're right."
Kaiba Man folded his arms.
"My attack is over."
"Chaos MAX Burst was all I needed."
The dragon girl frowned.
"…All you needed?"
A confident grin spread across Kaiba Man's face.
"Heh… Because I was never the main attacker this turn."
He pointed toward Hoshino.
"Show her the true power of King's Synchro, Hoshino!"
Hoshino grinned.
"Perfect teamwork, Kaiba Man!"
Swinging her Duel Disk forward, she shouted:
"Now that the True Dracoslaying King has already used its once-per-turn battle protection… Victory is ours! Achilles!!"
Like a raging gale, Achilles leapt onto his Noble Phantasm.
Pulled by three divine steeds, his chariot raced across the heavens faster than the eye could follow, leaving brilliant trails of light.
"Come and try to stop me if you dare! My chariot will crush you like a falling star!"
The dragon girl stared in disbelief.
"Has he lost his mind?"
What she couldn't understand even more…
Was that Achilles wasn't charging toward the 3000 ATK Metaltron XII.
Instead —
He aimed directly at the strengthened True Dracoslaying King.
"Impossible… the True Dracoslaying King has the higher ATK!"
Hoshino flipped over her own face-down card.
Locking onto the True Dracoslaying King, she declared:
"Race forth under the legend of the fastest hero!"
"Quick-Play Spell — Proof of Quickest!"
"Noble Phantasm — Troias Tragoidia!"
