High School DxD: Fox of Ill Omen

Issei-senpai was chuckling to himself with a lecherous grin.

Normally I would punish him for thinking more indecent thoughts and being a pervert, but the next scene of the film was about to start.

Issei-senpai moved to behind the set so that when his cue came he would be able to appear from the dragon statue as it split apart after Asia-senpai’s prayer lines.

But before that, Yuuto-senpai and Yuki-senpai had their fight scene with Levia-tan.

The two of them were standing on the raised platform by the altar.

Asia-senpai was standing at the altar, facing the statue and praying.

“Dragon Emperor-sama, Dragon Emperor-sama. Hear my prayers~. Heed my evil wishes and use your almighty power to defeat our enemy, Levia-tan~!” 

Asia-senpai sounded nervous as she spoke.

So far everyone had sounded awkward as we said our lines.

I was the only one that didn’t sound off, but that was only because I was told to talk like myself. 

Hopefully they can fix it before the movie comes out.

Levia-tan flew down and landed in front of the altar. 

“So this is the place where the Dragon Emperor is sealed! Ah! The prayers to realse him have already started! This is bad!” Levia-tan pointed at Yuki-senpai and Yuuto-senpai. “You two! Stand aside so I can stop the release of the Dragon Emperor!”

“You may have defeated the others but we won’t allow you to stop our plans, Levia-tan!” Yuuto-senpai said.

“Our allies were weak. For you to advance this far is only proof of that. We will end you here, Levia-tan.” Yuki-senpai said.

I raised my brows in surprise.

They sounded good as they said their lines.

Yuuto-senpai stepped forward with a cruel and fierce grin as she spoke and Yuki-senpai looked down coldly on Levia-tan.

They certainly seemed like villains right now. 

“I won’t let you succeed! Even if I have to fight both of you at once, I will stop your evil plans!”

Levia-tan rushed forwards at the two of them.

Yuuto-senpai charged forward to meet her while summoning an ominous looking demonic sword. 

At the same time Yuki-senpai created two illusions of Yuuto-senpai before her sword struck Levia-tan’s wand.

Levia-tan was pushed back by Yuuto-san’s quick and aggressive strikes. 

The two illusions distracted and confused her as she tried to counter attack.

“Is this all you’ve got?!” Yuuto-san shouted as she knocked aside Levia-tan’s wand and kicked her in the chest, sending her back.

She fell back and rolled once before coming up on her knee.

Tendrils of darkness spread from the shadows around Levia-tan and grabbed her arms, restraining her.  

She struggled to break free.

“Quit playing around. Finish her,” Yuki-senpai said in a bored voice.

As Yuuto-senpai and her illusionary clones closed in on Levia-tan with raised swords, Levia-tan managed to break one of her arms free. 

She gathered demonic power on the end of her wand and slammed the ball of energy into the ground.

The shockwave dispersed the illusions and sent Yuuto-senpai flying back.

She landed hard on her side and slid a short distance before coming to a stop.

She was still holding her sword, but most of the blade was gone.

She tried to push herself up onto her hands and knees but collapsed back down to the ground.

Yuki-senpai clicked her tongue and muttered “Useless.”

Yuki-senpai stepped forward off of the platform.

“That was impressive, Levia-tan. But it won’t change how this ends. I’ll finish you myself.”

“I’ll defeat you, and stop your evil plans!” Leviathan said as she stood.

Yuki-senpai fired two cursed bolts at her.

Levia-tan bolted each with a swing of her wand.

She then fired a beam of demonic power from the end of her wand at Yuki-senpai.

Yuki-senpai dodged by using Misstep to blink away.

Their fight continued with blocking, dodging and firing spells at one another.

Eventually Levia-tan fired an attack that would have hit Asia-senpai if Yuki-senpai moved.

Yuki-senpai scowled and put her hands together in front of her to fire a larger Baleful Bolt into the attack.

It failed to stop it and she was sent crashing to the ground after she was hit.

Then Levia-tan ran forward to confront Asia-senpai. 

“I’ve defeated your allies! Stop your prayers this instant!”

She aimed her wand at Asia-senpai as she posed.

Asia-senpai lifted her arms up without towards the Dragon statue.

“Dragon Emperor-sama! Heed your servants call! The time for your resurrection is at hand!” Asia-senpai called out.

The statue began to shake before splitting open.

There was a blinding flash of light as the statue began to crumble.

Smoke poured out from the gap in the stone and Issei-senpai leapt out of it. 

“Fuhahahaha! I am the Red Dragon Emperor! I received the prayers of my devoted servants and have resurrected once again! Fuhahaha! Their evil wishes reached me even in my sealed state! Now, I will destroy the Underworld! The Devils that sealed me away must suffer for defying me!” He shouted, before laughing evilly.

He sounded pretty good as he played his villainous role.

“I won’t let you!” Levia-ran shouted before pointing her wand at Issei-senpai. “Even if I was too late to stop your resurrection, I won’t allow you to reach the Underworld! I will destroy you here and now!”

Issei-senpai’s head tilted back as he laughed.

“Fuhahahaha! Foolish girl! No one Devil can oppose the Dragon Emperor! I will destroy my enemy who sealed me, but first I will tear you apart!”

Issei-senpai took a fighting stance and Levia-tan began to gather demonic power at the end of her staff for an attack.

Asia-senpai, Yuuto-senpai, and Yuki-senpai walked over to Xenovia-senpai and I then.

Yuki-senpai was rubbing one of her wrists and Yuuto-senpai was rotating her arm with her other hand on her shoulder.

Asia-senpai was healing her as they came over.

“Thank you for the healing, Asia-san,” Yuuto-senpai said. “Serafall-sama held back, but I definitely would have been sore for a while without your help.”

“Umm, should we be concerned for Issei-san?” Yuki-senpai asked. 

I looked back at the fight and saw that Levia-tan’s attack had grown to a massive size. 

“Dragon Emperor! I, the magical girl Levia-tan, shall defeat you!” She shouted as she fired her attack.

It left a furrow in the ground as it quickly moved towards Issei-senpai.

“That's way too much!” He shouted as he waved his arm in a panic.  

When it got close to him it exploded and sent him flying.  

The next moment, the huge demonic power which was released from her staff, with so much deadly power, explodes around me.

I was caught in the explosion, and was sent flying into the sky!

One of the crew members looked over to us from one of the cameras.

“The director wanted the final battle to be bigger, so both Serafall-sama and Hyoudou-san should use more strength in their fight. But don’t worry, Serafall-sama is still holding back and his armor is very sturdy. Your friend won’t be hurt too badly.”

“Ise-san…” Asia-senpai muttered.

“I guess there’s nothing we can do right now.” Yuki-senpai said.

“…He’ll be fine.” I said.

Xenovia-senpai nodded.

“He is rather tough. He’s good at taking a beating. He’s had plenty of practice.”

I blinked at her.

She seemed to have meant that as a compliment. 

She met my gaze and tilted her head slightly.

I looked back to Yuuto-senpai, Asia-senpai and Yuuto-senpai. 

“…Your fight scene looked good, Yuki-senpai, Yuuto-senpai. Both of you sounded like villains too,” I said.

Yuuto-senpai rubbed the back of her head.

“Really? I was just focusing on trying to do well enough in the fight to look good.”

“Thank you, Koneko-chan. I won’t say that I disliked acting, but I hope that I never have to again,” Yuki-senpai said with a sigh.

I glanced at her costume.

It would be a shame if she didn’t wear it again.

It was a gift from a Maou after all…

We turned back to watch Issei-senpai’s fight against Levia-tan.

She was chasing after him as his armor made different sound effects.

“Come back and face me!” She shouted as she fired another attack from her wand.

Issei-senpai narrowly dodged it by diving to the side.

The attack flew further before detonating and leaving a crater in the forest.

As Issei-senpai got up and kept running, I noticed that his armor was starting to show signs of damage.

After that first attack he had only been hit by shockwaves of Levia-tan’s attacks, and his armor was still damaged.

Maou-sama’s power is incredible.

Issei-senpai really wasn’t fighting back as he struggled to survive against Levia-tan’s attacks.

The director seemed to be happy with how the fight was playing out, so I guess it was fine for the film. 

Levia-tan sent a sweeping attack towards Issei-senpai.

He was forced to dive under it to dodge.

When he stood up he turned towards Levia-tan and pointed his hand out towards her.

“That’s enough! It’s time that I showed you the flames of the Dragon Emperor! I’ll turn you to ash!” 

He let out a shout before flames ignited from burners on the sides of his helmet and his gauntlet began to gather demonic energy.  

Then the burners let out a small puff of flames before flickering out and his gauntlet released a softball size ball of demonic power that dissipated before it made it halfway to Levia-tan.

I had heard the director tell him that his suit was equipped with weapons, but apparently they were rather lacking.

“That’s it?!” Issei-senpai shouted, turning towards the director. “This is impossible. There’s no way for me to win like this!”

“We will fix it with CG later!” The director yelled back.

“I thought they said their show doesn’t use CGI?” Yuuto-san said.

I shrugged.

Either way, Issei-senpai was about to get his butt kicked.

“To be expected from the Dragon Emperor! The flames of your attacks are nearly too much for me! But I can’t let you reach the Underworld! I can’t lose!” Levia-tan shouted.

“Apparently Serafall-sama was aware of Issei-san’s attack being so small. It must be something they do for large fights,” Yuki-senpai commented.

Then Leva-tan gathered demonic power for another large attack.

“Take this!” She shouted. 

Issei-senpai tried to flee but was caught in the explosion.

He flew, spinning through the air before crashing to the ground.

He laid still for a few seconds before trying to get back up. 

His arms shook as he lifted himself and then he fell back to the ground.

His armor was broken and missing pieces in multiple places.

It looked like he had taken some real damage in that attack.

“Senpai!” Gya-kun shouted.

He was again in his box during this scene.

Issei-senpai dragged himself towards Gya-kun.

“Ga….Gasper… I wasn’t able to defeat her… Levia-tan was too strong…”

He arrived in front of the box and reached out a trembling hand towards it. 

“…Take my blood… With it, you will have a chance to defeat her…. The strength it gives you may be enough…” Issei-senpai said.

His voice was strained and weak as he spoke.

Either he was a decent actor, or Maou-sama hadn’t held back enough with her attacks.

“Senpai! I…I…”

“Gasper… I know you can be strong… even if you’re hidden in a box like that… so avenge me…”

Issei-senpai collapsed to the ground. 

“Senpaaaaai! Nooooo!” Gya-kun wailed. 

Then he scooted his box closer to Issei-senpai so that he could drink the blood on his extended hand. 

A moment later Gya-kun’s power spiked and an ominous aura formed around the cardboard box.  

“Levia-tan! I will be your opponent! I will avenge my comrades you have defeated!” Gya-kun shouted.

The cardboard box began to float.

Then it quickly flew towards Levia-tan.

Gya-kun flew erratically towards her as he closed the distance between them.

“What’s this?! After drinking the blood of the Dragon Emperor, the Vampire God’s power has grown!” Levia-tan said, flying up into the air.

The two of them began to fight while flying around. 

Levia-tan fired attacks of demonic power.

Gya-kun dodged her attacks and slammed into Levia-tan, knocking her back.

Levia-tan tumbled through the air before righting herself and firing a volley of attacks from her wand.

Gya-kun quickly dodged out of the way and flew at her again.

“I-I will avenge Senpai! I’ll d-defeat you Levia-tan!”

“I won’t fail! I still have to protect the Underworld!”

They clashed in the air again.

Levia-tan met Gya-kun’s cardboard body slam with her wand.

They were both pushed back from one another. 

Levia-tan pointed her wand at him again.

She fired a sweeping beam of demonic energy.

Gya-kun tried to dodge, but was clipped by it and sent crashing to the ground.

Levia-tan landed before him and pointed her want down at him.

“It’s over! Your plans to destroy the Underworld have failed! As long as I stand, no harm shall befal Devil kind!”

She started to gather demonic energy for one last attack.

The cardboard box shifted like Gya-kun was trying to move.

“N-No I can’t fail now! Curse you Levia-tan!” Gya-kun cried out.

Levia-tan fired her attack and a large ball of demonic energy consumed him.

Levia-tan turned and posed towards the camera.

“Cut!” The director shouted. “That was perfect! No film has ever captured something like this before!”

He stood as he clapped for Levia-tan and Gya-kun.

“U-Umm, are Gasper-kun and Ise-san alright?” Asia-senpai asked.

I looked over at them.

Issei-senpai was still lying face down in his armor.

The smoke around Gya-kun cleared to show him lying curled up on the ground, his box missing.

“…We should probably check on them.” Yuuto-senpai said.

Yuki-senpai and I went over to Gya-kun, while Xenovia-senpai, Yuuto-senpai, and Asia-senpai went over to Issei-senpai.

As we came up to Gya-kun I gave him a small kick to see if he was conscious.

“Koneko-chan,” Yuki-senpai said, frowning at me.

“…I’m just checking on him,” I said, looking away. 

Gya-kun groaned and sat up.

He patted himself down and then looked at us.

“Are you alright Gasper-kun?” Senpai asked. 

“Y-Yeah I’m fine. I don’t think I’m injured at all really,” he replied.

Looking him over, he was right.

Besides being dirty and his clothes torn in a few spots, he looked completely unharmed.

“Of course☆! I know how to hold back when filming. We wouldn’t want anyone to get hurt!” 

We turned to see Serafall-sama approaching us.

“Issei-san looked pretty rough after your fight scene,” Yuki-senpai pointed out. 

“His costume was made from extremely tough Underworld metals☆. He should be fine!” Serafall-sama said waiving off any concern.

I looked over to Issei-senpai.

Yuuto-senpai and Xenovia-senpai had gotten him out of the remains of his armor.

Asia-senpai was healing him while looking panicked.

Issei-senpai was bruised and battered, and currently unconscious.

We all looked at Serafall-sama who chuckled weakly in response.

“He’s… he’s fine! I may have maybe gone a bit too hard in that fight scene, but Asia-chan will have him as good as new in no time☆.”

I looked back and saw Xenovia-senpai pick up Issei-senpai and throw him over her shoulder like a bag of potatoes. 

Yuuto-senpai put a hand over her face. 

Asia-senpai waved her arms frantically and told her to be more careful.

The three of them came over to our group.

“Ah, you look alright, Gasper-kun. That’s great to see,” Yuuto-senpai said.

“T-Thank you Yuuto-senpai. But is Issei-senpai alright?”

Gya-kun nervously watched Issei-senpai. 

Yuuto-senpai sighed.

“He’s alright. He just passed out after his fight. Asia-san already healed his injuries.”

“So, are we finished filming then?” Xenovia-senpai asked.

“That's right!” Serafall-sama said cheerily. “You’re part of filming scenes for my film is done. So if you’re ready to leave I can send you back to your club room.”

Yuuto-senpai looked over the group and seeing no objections turned back to Serafall-sama.

“We would appreciate that greatly. We hope that we have met your expectations for this request.”

“You all did great☆! I just know that this film will do amazing when it releases. Thank you for all your hard work,” Serafall-sama said with a smile. “And Yuki-chan, feel free to keep your costume☆. Like I said, I had it made especially for you. I think you’d make a great magical girl in the future. Just let me know if you have any interest in starring in the Magical☆Levia-tan show!”

Yuki-senpai’s composed expression became strained for a moment before smoothing out.

“Thank you… Levia-tan. I appreciate the gift you’ve given me and will keep your offer in mind.”

After that we changed out of our costumes and got ready to teleport home.

Yuki-senpai was the only one still in costume as Serafall-sama insisted that she wear it home.

The request from a Maou had not been anything like I had expected it to be.

Instead we started in a film about a magical girl and a cardboard box villain.

It was fun to act and I was excited to see the end result.

And Yuki-senpai would be keeping that costume.

As the magic circle began to light as the spell to take us home was cast, I smiled to myself.

Overall, things went pretty well.

“Thank you again! And tell Rias-chan I said hi☆!” Serafall-sama shouted, waving at us before we left.

The magic circle flashed and we were back in the club room once again.
