Kael and Robert remained still.
The Shadow stood several meters away.
Then—
He vanished.
Kael's eyes moved sharply.
Nothing.
BOOM!
A fist slammed into his ribs, Kael's body twisted from the impact as he was thrown sideways.
He caught himself before hitting the ground and immediately turned.
The Shadow was already gone.
“Kael!”
Robert's voice came from behind him.
Kael turned.
CLANG!
Robert's sword intercepted a fist inches from Kael's face, the Shadow had appeared beside him.
Robert pushed the fist away and swung his sword.
SWISH!
The Shadow leaned back.
Then disappeared again.
Robert's eyes followed him.
A second later—
BOOM!
Robert was struck across the shoulder and staggered forward.
Kael rushed toward him.
The Shadow appeared between them.
“Iron Fist.”
BOOM!
Kael raised his sword, the fist slammed into the blade and forced him backward.
Kael gritted his teeth and pushed against it.
The Shadow suddenly disappeared.
Kael's eyes shifted.
A sharp pain cut across his back.
SWISH!
He stumbled forward.
Robert immediately attacked the empty space behind him.
CLANG!
His sword struck the Shadow's arm the Shadow blocked the attack and twisted away.
Robert followed.
One slash.
Two.
Three.
The Shadow blocked each one.
Kael joined the attack.
“Mirage Step!”
WHOOSH!
He appeared at the Shadow's side.
His sword swung toward his ribs.
The Shadow ducked.
Robert's blade came from the opposite direction.
CLANG!
The Shadow blocked it, kael attacked again.
The Shadow vanished.
Kael's sword cut through empty air.
Then—
BOOM!
His stomach was struck.
Kael flew backward.
Robert rushed toward the Shadow.
“Blade Intent: Trade Blows.”
The Shadow's eyes narrowed.
He felt it.
His fist was being drawn toward Robert's blade he tried to pull away.
He disappeared—
But the connection remained.
Damn.
His expression hardened.
He adapted, Instead of resisting the pull, he followed it.
“Iron Fist.”
CLANG!
The Shadow's fist collided with Robert's blad, the impact pushed Robert back by one step.
But he held his ground.
The force flowed through his body.
Into his arm.
Into his sword.
Robert's blade trembled with the absorbed force.
Kael saw the opening.
“Mirage Step!”
WHOOSH!
Kael appeared at the Shadow's flank, His sword swung straight toward the Shadow's chest.
The Shadow turned.
His fist moved to intercept— but Kael suddenly vanished.
“Mirage Draw.”
His sword returned to its sheath.
The Shadow's eyes widened.
His target was gone.
His side was exposed.
Robert immediately moved.
“Reverse Edge.”
Robert's sword flashed toward the Shadow's arm.
The Shadow reacted instantly.
“Iron Body!”
CLANG!
The blade struck.
But it still cut through.
Blood sprayed.
The Shadow immediately used—
“Iron Step!”
WHOOSH!
He burst backward, creating distance between them.
He landed several meters away.
A deep wound ran across his arm.
The Shadow stared at the blood.
His expression darkened.
