I Acquried A Murdering System
Chapter 13 - 013: Knowledge about the SchoolLora dragged Xero out of the refectory and when they were out of the reach of other students, she stopped. Xero stared at her surprised at her reaction.
"What’s the matter?" Xero asked as he found her action suspicious. Lora heaved a sigh before slapping him hard on the face.
Xero stared at her in shock. Why the hell had she rescued from the hands of the level 2s and end up dragging him outside only to slap him?
"What was that for?"
"Why the hell is your perception so perfect? From the very moment, you started to pull stunts far greater than your level. How the hell were you able to know that Dennis was using a Voice Copy ability?" Lora exclaimed not in rage but in curiosity.
Xero stared at her in shock. She has actually slapped him because she wanted to ask him this question? What the hell were girls?
"Sorry but it’s not like that’s my ability. I just happened to train my senses that far. You know since I’m a Lamer, I need to survive even though I have no ability yet." Xero said as he shrugged a smile.
Lora stared at him. She had never seen a weak person feel so comfortable. Not just that, he seemed to be above the chart for a level 1 and she was sure Xero had something that he wasn’t telling her.
"Well I’m not going to force that. Least I forget, thanks for the assist back there. At the dying minute I would have lost if you hadn’t convinced me to wait up. You are real life saver. I owe you one." She said as her face flushed red.
"No problem. I just happened to do what I had to do. Besides it was a fifty‐fifty gamble. I could have been wrong or right. I must admit I took a big risk and that might have costed us our name in this school. It’s reliving to see that I was right after all." Xero explained as he unconsciously began to rub his hand at the back of his hair.
Originally he would simply by passed her comment and walked off but after playing with her, he came to realise that she somehow was totally different from the higher levels he had known.
Even after killing his opponent she still stayed by his side knowing it was suicidal. Not only did she do that, but she effortlessly believed in his sensitivity even at a critical moment. That was something even one with so much trust couldn’t do.
Right now he seemed a little embarrassed with the way he had treated her. Probably he would make up for that one day.
"Another thing I have to let you know, most students here have already started to hate you. Probably because they think you’re a gold digger who survive by mere luck." Lora said a bit concerned just as Tenny was but Xero didn’t look concerned.
"Yah. I heard that earlier today and I think that’s why he was against me. But I’ll have it under control in due time." Xero said with a glare. Lora smiled and then patted him on the shoulders.
"Just don’t do anything stupid. This place is governed by the higher levels and until you are on the same level, do well to be calm." She said and left hum standing there for a while.
She wasn’t far from the truth. In every school, the higher classes and levels governed the others and he wasn’t in either the category of wealth or high level. It would be best to be observant for now and watch how the system works.
He decided that he would head to library and get a few informations about the school. At least that would help him in his current situation.
He opened his watch and entered the tab for map. The watches they were given had special effects. It was similar to the phone watch, only that it was more discrete than the phone watch.
With the effects of the watch, all Xero needed to was to type the location of his destination on the map and the watch will synchronize the path into his brain. A perfect guide stored deep in the brain cells.
He then noticed that it was about 11km from the refectory. A perfect distance for his daily quest. He quickly decided that he would use this tour as his moment to complete his daily quest.
He dashed out, running at a considerable rate enough for his stamina and strength could keep up to. If he blew in all his speed, he would end up draining a lot of stamina and that wasn’t what he wanted. Also, an outburst speed would be too fast for his tag. As a Lamer, he couldn’t go too fast.
He ran up until he got to the library. It was a large building that Xero began to wonder the volume of books that would be in the shelfs.
[Daily Quest 2. Completed]
[20 EXP gained!!!]
[EXP: 140/200]
He smiled. All that was remaining was his 6 hours sleep which he had to have this night.
He walked into the library and noticed that tons of students were already there. This was really intriguing for him because he didn’t know students to be generally enthusiastic about books.
He then walked over to one of the librarians and slide his watch over the radar and once it affirmed that he was a student, he was free to get into the book selves where he could find books of his choice.
There were numerous book shelves and on each book shelf there was always a tag on it to determine what kind of books were in the shelf.
Xero thought for a while. What kind of shelf would hold the information he was looking for? Then after a minute of thinking, he guessed ’Article ’.
He quickly searched around the book selves and it was then that he noticed that rhetorically shelves were arranged in alphabetically order according to the name of the book selves.
That made the job easier for Xero. He simply walked down to the side of the book selves with letter ’A’.
Across the shelves he could see numerous shelves like, Anomalies, Ancient Myths,...and Articles. He was happy when he found it.
He quickly searched through the shelf, looking for the perfect book for his curiosity. It was then that he found a short thick book.
"HIDDEN RULES OF THE MILITARY SUPER UNIVERSITIES".
Finally he had found it. He was going to dig in as much information as he could now. He took a seat and opened the book.
"I am Solomon Thicher..."
