I Acquried A Murdering System

"Fuck... what the hell...?" That was the first words of Xero as he woke up from what seemed like an endless dream.

He tried to stand up but he winced in pain as he remembered what had happened. He glanced at the ceiling of the room he was in. It definitely wasn’t his room.

He quickly turned his head to notice multiple white beds dressed with young patients. He definitely was in the School Hospital. He heaved a sigh of relief.

He rested his head on the ever hard pillow. He wanted to curse the facility but he didn’t have the energy to scream. Instead a wince escaped his lips as he clutched his stomach in pain.

Then he remembered that he wasn’t here a moment ago. He had been in the forest. He glanced at his body to notice that all scars that he incured from the battle had completely faded away.

"What the..." he muttered in shock as he felt a wave of shock at what he saw.

He sat up lightly while wincing in unending pain. He looked beside him to notice a guy laying on his bed.

Unlike the normal hospitals, the new hospitals made use of awakeners with healing abilities. The existence of abilities made the day to day life easier. Healers were very valuable assets in this new world. They could heal people ranging from minor cuts to extreme injuries and sickness but the prowess of a healer was determined by their rank and specialty.

Beside were numerous persons laying on the hospital beds. Each had different hazards that brought them. He could also notice that treatment service here was based on one’s initial level.

The higher ranks had better and more comforting care than the lower ranks. Xero scuffed. Even in health care, there was still discrimination by the higher ranks.

He was sure he had a crappie nurse taking care of him. He could only imagine what sort lazy treatment they had offered him. Probably had a fat nurse doze him once every day while lazily reading an article.

The thought of that made him chuckle lightly. He was shocked he could still make crappie jokes about others.

"So I did gain some EXP from that Carnivorous Mode..." he paused for a while as he remembered going completely blank during the time that his Carnivorous Mode was in action.

"Now that I think of it, I did defeat the level 6 who impersonated Dennis. That’s absurd. I was just a level 2. How was I able to take him down." Xero muttered to himself.

He could only conclude that the Carnivorous Mode had a hand in the strange feat. He wondered how the mode activated but he could take a guess that it was linked to the earlier messages of hunger.

"You are awake lad." a feminine voice tore through his line of thoughts. He jerked up and turned to stare at the nurse standing beside him.

She was a tall elegant lady with white blonde hair. She wore a tight fitting black robe that clung her skin like a second skin. Her eyes were cold but it still held the beauty of a goddess. Her lips were professionally lined with red lipstick. Her make up seemed to be put up by one the best artists. Just on top her black robe was a white coat like cape.

Xero wondered again if she was a nurse. He had imagined a chubby lazy looking nurse who probably would picking her nose while attending to him. This was the first he had seen this school treat him with respect.

"You’ve been asleep for a while. I’m surprised that you survived with level of injuries you sustained." She said. Xero just stared her unable to speak.

"Well this is a good start. You will be given food soon. Right now I would like to know how you are doing?" She said and smiled lightly. Xero thought he imagined her laugh.

"Uhm.. I’m just feeling stomach pains." Xero said. The lady smiled again.

"If that’s the case then I think you are really hungry. Like I said you have asleep for two days. It’s normal for you to be hungry."

"Two days?!" Xero exclaimed in shock. The lady nodded lightly. "In this damn hard pillow!? Please help me change this."

The lady looked at him amused by his frustration. She smiled him off.

"I will see what I can do."

"Does that mean you are my nurse?"

"Yeah. What about it? Did you think you deserved a crappie nurse?"

"I think I felt that the school would continue the discrimination of lower ranks in the health care." Xero explained. The lady sighed lightly before replying.

"Well it actually still reaches the health care. The school is doing it’s best to push everyone to get better. By frustrating the lower rank they would be forced to get stronger."

"So you are saying that you are not my nurse?" Xero asked.

"I just happened to peek interest in your case. So count yourself lucky. I’ll be back. " she said before leaving. Xero stared at her for while before laying back on the bed.

"She seemed strange to me. Don’t know why but she had a settling presence." He said and flexed his arms.

He was about trying to sleep when a chubby lady walked inside with a tray of food. He sat up as his mouth salivated over the food.

She dropped off the food on his table by his side. He noticed that she was wearing a different attire from the earlier nurse. She wore a white T- shirt with a red badge. She wore the cap that he was acquainted to for nurses.

"You were able to catch the interest of Lady Valandi. As a level 1 that should be you dream." The nurse said while she changed his pillow with a softer one.

Xero stared at the nurse. He was shocked that this Lady Valandi had actually gotten him a nicer pillow. She did seem to be someone of high importance or better put had a higher level than anyone he had come across.

"Who is she?" Xero asked lightly. The nurse stared at him guessing that he was a year one judging by his extremely low level.

"She’s one the Generals. Just happens to be doctor too." The nurse said and walked out of the room.
