I Acquried A Murdering System

Chapter 31 - 031: Conflict for a Friend

Lora and the personnel Bryan had sent carried Xero to the hospital. They quickly walked over to the reception and there they met an elderly lady at the table.

"A bruise case?" She asked lightly as she took a book from a stack of other books.

"No a near death situation. We need your best healers on him right away." Lora said immediately and the woman looked at her giving her a glare.

"Slow down lady, we will attend to him like every other patient in this building. There will be no exception in your case." The woman said sternly but Lora eyed her a little before pulling Xero down from the personnel’s body.

Then she shoved his right arm at her and she saw his HP reading. She gasped as soon as she it? Lora smiled like she had just won a petty battle of words with the woman.

"Are you that he is still alive? That is a zero HP. Take him to the Dead Services. That’s where he belongs." She said and was about closing her book when the personnel held her arms.

It was then that she noticed the logo on his uniform, a white dragon. That was when she recognised that he was a personal guard to a General.

"You have to check him. He is still breathing and that means he is alive right? Unless not you can’t dismiss him."

Lora said and pulled the book over and wrote Xero’s name. Though she only knew his first name, that was all she wrote then signed below the name.

The elderly nurse then nodded her head and tapped a white screen and suddenly they could all see list of nurses and doctors with their levels.

The old woman was about to tap on a level 2 nurse but Lora immediately interjected that moment.

"No. I don’t want her. You should have better nurses and doctors right?" Lora said and the woman looked at her giving her a hint that she didn’t like being told what to do from a mere junior class schooler.

"Excuse me, you can’t order me in my department. You sure have studies to face and don’t practice your eloquence with me." She said reflecting her anger.

But Lora didn’t care about that now. She was more concerned about the quality of treatment that would be given to Xero. She flashed the black card Bryan had given her earlier.

The woman nearly cursed but she restrained herself for doing so. She then pulled the screen over to the top healers in the hospital and Lora fed her eyes the courtesy of having to pick from the best.

"I want her." Lora said and pointed at Valandi’s profile."

The lady was about the speak but Lora flashed the black card and she immediately kept her information to herself.

She tapped on Valandi. With that Lora was satisfied with herself. The lady then called a pair of nurses who carried Xero over to his ward.

Lora then thanked the lady who cursed her within the walls of her mind. Then she left with the personnel who she also thanked. Then she left him with the black card, General Bryan had left her.

She walked out of the hospital and stared into the sky. She felt an overwhelming burden inside of her.

After she had hurt Xero’s feelings, she noticed how fragile he truly was. Having grown up as a Lamer, it was such a pathetic life that she couldn’t imagine.

His parting words struck her spine. "Just so you know, you were my first female friend."

Was he rejected enough not to have friends? Did he have crushes or did they always turn him down? She couldn’t imagine the life he lived.

She had lived a comfortable life. Coming from the House of Silvers, she was a royal blood. In every school she attended, she was given a preferential treatment. One of a queen.

She literally had a line of boys asking her out daily. They would cluster at her locker during breaks and dismissal periods. Worst of all, her friends were only there to gain fame and connection.

That wasn’t the life she wanted. She wanted to work out her life with her own hands. She wanted to carve out her destiny and to do that she did not need the special treatments she always got from schools.

It was for this reason that she decided to enroll in the Military Super University. She had heard stories from her elder brother about the school. He did tell her how no one cared about royalty and that all that mattered was levels and ranks.

She fantasised this school severally before coming to conclusion to attend the university. Her father had been shocked by her request and tried to persuade her to enroll in other elite schools but she had made up her mind.

When she left home to join the school, her dad had wept lightly but she never really knew why. She didn’t bother to ask.

She was excited when she got into the school and it was in that excitement that she had tripped him.

Xero.

She had expected him to make advances at her but he seemed too forced to think of that. In fact he seemed to be going through a whole lot.

It was at that moment that she had a liking into him. And ever since then he had also acted beyond the boundaries of her expectations.

He was her first real friend and even though she didn’t let him know she was beginning to like him. She had initially brought him over to the Love Garden to stirr emotions in him but she was frustrated and angry that he was still bothered about the incident that had happened four days ago.

She had lashed out her anger on him and she felt terribly sad about that. She needed him to be alive to hear her apology. Besides he couldn’t die now.

"You have to stay alive. You have to." She muttered to herself and left the hospital for her dormitory.
