One Week Later.

The incident of the vampires had died down and the refectory was in full use again. Students had returned back to classes. Everything was usual apart from the lives of a few.

Tenny sat in the dormitory looking at Xero who sat quietly. The other two roommates were absent and they were the only ones in the room.

Since the incident at the quarantine hall, they hadn’t really spoken on a scale to each other. They would simply greet as courtesy not wanting to remind themselves that they had been exposed to each other.

Both had killed on that same day and both had revealed things that they shouldn’t have. Worse still, they knew they were targets for someone outside.

If they made a silly move outside, they could be hunted down. Besides that, they both wondered what the school would do about them. Knowing that they had both killed students in the school, they were expecting a form of punishment from the school.

On the contrary, they weren’t receiving any form of punishment or reprimanding. They lived like the other students carrying their guilt wherever they went.

"We can’t continue this way man." Tenny voiced out and Xero turned to look at him.

"I know you feel I’m a vampire but I didn’t know until that day. I swear it." Tenny said trying to open up.

"I think it has to be when you were in the refectory and they bullied you." Xero said but Tenny shook his head in disapproval.

"I was given a liquid by I can’t remember and after that I haven’t remained the same. I see strange dreams which I forget anytime I wake up." Tenny explained.

"That’s quite a story there. I can’t blame you for what happened. Romeo had cornered us both. It was either our lived or theirs. The management understands that. That is why they haven’t punished us."

"I hope so." Tenny said and stared at the ground. Xero watched him as he wondered how such a timid fellow be as strong as he was.

"Xero..." he called and Xero turned sharply.

"Just wanted to know. You seemed totally different back on the roof. You were able to slay a level 8 easily. And what was that ability you used." Tenny said and Xero scratched the back of his head searching for a lie.

"I think I had late awakening. That’s a blood technique and I don’t know what it is myself. I just felt myself controlling a surge of energy."

"You truly are mysterious. Well that doesn’t make you bad. You saved me back there. I appreciate your help." Tenny said and stretched his palm towards Xero.

"I also appreciate your cooperation back there my vampire friend." Xero said and gave him a warm hand shake.

Tenny laughed lightly and suddenly they were both laughing loudly at the top of their voices.

When they were done with their excitement, Tenny decided that it was time for them to resume school. Xero nodded in agreement.

"We have each other’s back, so that when the Dutch come back for a revenge we will take them down." Xero said.

"Yes pal." Tenny said and smiled.

With that they both left the room for class. Xero smiled widely as they left. Just as they had settled their differences so were others.

Dennis sat on a seat in the dark. He was tied to the seat. His entire body was restricted from moving. His mouth was covered with a thick cloth. His face was bloodied severely.

Suddenly light flashed through the room. The door opened lightly and the sound of boots kissing the ground could be heard.

A tall guy walked in. He emanated a purple flame from his left eye. His dark hair was too rough to make a correct shape. His face was smooth and handsome.

Behind him, Elisa walked in diligently behind him. Her graceful steps brushed forward with great ease. Dennis struggled to move but his efforts were futile as they got to him.

"Still resisting? You are awfully stubborn. I like you for that." The man said with a light grin.

"He is still a pet. We have wasted twenty samples on this ungrateful being and all he has done is reject it all through." Elisa said in anger.

"I know that. He is impressive. If he can’t be a vampire, then he will play a good role just I do." The man said and smirked widely.

Dennis wriggled in his tangle and struggled to speak but he was helpless. He couldn’t move his body, neither could he speak.

"Look how helpless he is. What do you plan to do to him?" Elisa said as she approached him.

"I will send him to a perfect portal. There he would understand our line of work in this great world." The man said and smirked.

Elisa frowned lightly. She looked at her brother before looking at the man. She was clearly angry.

"Why would you take him? I’ve been begging you for that spot for three months and you are just going to give it to my younger brother?!" Elisa argued.

"I’m sorry Elisa but I just don’t think you are cut out for this. Besides you are of greater help to Aaron. He wouldn’t like to lose you." The man said.

Elisa smiled lightly. The fact that she was recognised by Aaron was something she had always wanted. Her face beamed with bright smile.

"So Dennis. Get ready. I will be taking you on a tour. Get ready to see things firsthand." He said and smirked.

"Mhmmm... mmh...grhhh.." Dennis struggled to talk.

"Don’t worry. You will grow to love it." The man said and walked out of the room.

Elisa stared at her brother for a while before storming out of the room. Dennis continued to struggle to free himself up but his efforts were futile.

Finally he was able to spit the cloth off his mouth. He moved his mouth lightly checking if his jaw had gone sour from enduring such a large weight for that long.

"Damn you guys. I’m getting out of here."
