The four of them walked in through the tunnel and Cassie snapped her fingers and a balls of flames held out above her. Xero saw the technique impressive wondering if Lora could do the same with her ice magic.

Cassie walked ahead of them since she was their source of light, Yelisa and Lora stuck up close to her. Xero walked up behind the three ladies.

They walked past the tunnel for about ten minutes in silence. During that time, they found nothing in the tunnel. It was clean. No trace of blood but there was an awful stench.

"Who knows what kind of demons we are to expect? Mr Kenry didn’t give us all the details about the demons in here." Lora said trying to ease the tension in the atmosphere.

"Probably rabbits, tigers. I don’t know. We will slash them when we see them." Yelisa said.

"Definitely whatever is in this tunnel doesn’t move past a certain distance. Wonder why the raiders didn’t clear up this part of the dungeon." Xero muttered lightly.

"I once read about Carvery Paths." Lora said excitedly. "They are not actually part of the dungeon itself but act as a link from a dungeon to another one. Though the existence is still seen as a falsehood, a few raiders will testify to that themselves."

Xero stared at the walls as the passed and was beginning to notice claw marks. Whatever was in this tunnel, they were getting closer to it.

"I’ve heard that too. My dad worked with a Guild and he believes it’s a fantasy created by those who were traumatised by certain raids." Yelisa said and stared around the vicinity.

"We are approaching them." Cassie whispered as she came to a stop.

A man lay om the ground. His face was battered and cut in more that several places. His blood reeked and the stench oozed out violently.

Cassie stared at him wondering what could slay hum in such manner. Though the blood was old, she could still pick up the faint trace of foul energy.

"Let’s get going." Yelisa said and continued to walk forward.

Others followed her but Xero squatted lightly beside the man. The he began to maje out a writing on his flesh. It was too faint to notice at first glance.

Too eer is humanity, to revenge is divinity

He wondered what that was all about. He was about searching through the man when Yelisa called out to him.

"Xero!!!"

He looked back and noticed that they were waiting for him. He sighed lightly and stood up. Then he looked back at the writings, still wanting to know what it was.

"Cassie I could need your help here. Picked up a clue or something." He called out.

"What the hell is that? I’m picking up the energy of the demon. Let’s slay it before its too late." Yelisa yelled out but Cassie had already moved.

She used her flames to lighten the area better and when Xero looked at the man, he noticed that the writing had somehow vanished out of sight.

"What did you see?" Yelisa shouted.

"Nothing. We saw nothing." Cassie said but Xero was sure of his findings.

"These demons operate in darkness. Cassie can you take off the flames?" He pleaded lightly. She hesitated before it flickered off.

Then he looked at the man’s skin again that this time the words were brighter. He was about speaking when he noticed that everyone of them had writings on their body.

"What the hell is this?" Yelisa complained as her shoulder shone brightly with the words;

Too err is human, to forgive is divine

Lora saw the same words on her palm. And suddenly they began to feel terror. She remembered the words she had read just before walking into this tunnel.

"The demons are here. They are here!!" She exclaimed and just then a thick white fog fueled the gap between Lora and Yelisa. They were both caught up in it and couldn’t see anything clearly.

At the same time, Both Cassie and Xero noticed a different writing on their body.

Too err is humanity, to revenge is divinity

Then a black fog covered their sights. Cassie wanted to walk forward but she tripped and fell.

"We have to get to them. We are carriers." She lamented but Xero pulled her closer to him before she could move further.

The fog swirled violently and the ground beneath their feet shook in the same manner. Then it vanished without a trace.

When Xero and Cassie opened their eyes, they were before a black temple. The temple was extremely large. Seven steps made of blood lead up to the throne were a man in dark demon in black robe.

"What the hell." Cassie whispered in shock.

"Is that a Regular?" Xero muttered to himself in shock.

Then a pack of demons stood at the entrance of temple. They were unnecessary large and their heads were twice as large as a football. Their hollow eyes were too deep to find their eye balls. Each of them carried a large bone for a weapon.

"Are we going to fight these things? We are dead. We have to get to Lora and Yelisa." Cassie whispered.

******

Lora and Yelisa had been given their own taste of the situation. They fell into a white temple. The throne was made of sparkling white bones. Six bony steps led all the way up to the the throne and a female demon sat proudly at the top.

"Cocky bastards." Yelisa cursed as she stood up.

They were surrounded by white demons. They held up white daggers. Their teeth were bare red.

"What sort of ugly things are these?" Lora said aloud. Yelisa smiled.

"What do you say, we slay these things right now?" Yelisa said.

Lora thought for a while. If they had to see Xero , they would first have to slay these demons. Besides that’s why they were here.

"Let’s do this." She said finally.
