I Acquried A Murdering System

Cassie watched as Xero slayed every demon in matter of minutes. She wondered how a level 1 could perform such a feat or was the school system broken?

Why the hell was he thar powerful? His strength was terrifying. Why hadn’t he opted to be a raider with such an incredible strength?

She stared at him wondering how long it will take her to be as good as he was. If she could have at least half of his strength she was sure she could kill her low self esteem.

No. That wasn’t it. She had come from a family of little background. None of her relatives were raiders. All they could do was to work at different companies using their little ability to work in offices.

She was the only one out of her family who wanted to change that. She wasn’t this timid before but after five years of competing with brains of her class, she grew timid.

Most people mocked her for not being able to be as powerful as she was meant to be. She was a disgrace to those who had flames as their ability.

But seeing Xero standing before her, something inside her rekindled. A desire she had lust for in years.

Red flames engulfed her body. The flame cafe she made cracked open and a fueled rage burned through her.

Her eyes sparked with flames and her body wasn’t burned by the fire that engulfed her. A deadening aura wrapped around her fingers. With that her watch flickered.

<Level 9>

She moved her fingers in practiced motion and with that a large fireball shot at the demon standing in front of Xero.

Xero turned back immediately and was shocked to find Cassie in a different state.

Did she really level up now? But this is a pure boost. How’s that possible?

Xero was about to question how she had quickly leveled up when he sensed the presence of the demon.

He quickly moved away, dodging a powerful hit from the demon. A gush of acid shot at him but that very second flames burnt through the liquid.

With that Xero moved back with speed, appearing by the side of Cassie. A grin tore through his lips.

"Seems like someone had some guts." He said. Cassie smiled lightly.

"Thanks to a gutsy someone beside me I’m forced to fight." She said with a chuckle.

Xero sighed lightly. The demon could spit acid. That was deadly. He couldn’t get too close that thing. A single drop of acid on him would ruin him. Besides he wasn’t sure his system could heal acid burns and he wasn’t about to try it out.

"Good to have you. That thing has something up its sleeve. With your fire power we could attack it from far while I get in close for combat."

Cassie nodded lightly.

Then the demon walked out of the flames. He opened his mouth, revealing a set of badly arranged fangs.

"Oh boy."

"Let’s go." Xero said and dashed forward.

Cassie shot a wave of flames at the demon but he spat an enormous amount of acid, sealing the path of the flames.

With that, Xero charged towards him from behind. Then he activated his Blood Scythe and a green sword formed in his hands.

He was drive his weapon into the back of the demon when he noticed the eyes turn to stare him. Suddenly a third hand grew from the demon and slammed into his face.

The punch sent him crashing against the ground. Cassie intensified her flames but the demon clapped his hands and the flames parted in two allowing him to dive into her and smash her head against the ground.

Her head bled slightly but she still tried to stand up. The demon grabbed her by the chest and swung her to crash against the ground.

Then he followed her and began to rain several blows against her. Each blow drain her HP by 10.

<15/90 HP >

’Guess I’m useless after all.’ She muttered to herself.

Just when the last hit was about descending onto her, a green light flashed through his hand. The hand cut into two. Green blood seeped from the cut.

Xero then ran forward before forming a second scythe again. The demon turned to look at him but Xero was prepared for that.

"Predator’s Eye. "

[Skill Activated]

With that the demon could see the amount of magic capacity in him. Such a dense presence was overwhelming and with the Predator’s Eye in effect, all it could feel was incredible amount of fear.

’Am I afraid of a human? How?’

He looked up in the air to notice his hands floating mid air and Xero directly above him.

"Have a nice nap in hell." Xero said with finality.

The demon tried to run but it was too late, Xero blade dug into his head and then he drove it down to the torso. The body splited into two halves.

[1/1 demon boss defeated.]

[Ding!!!!]

[Level Up]

[2000 EXP gained]

[Level 35 attained.]

Xero smiled lightly as he deactivated his skills. Then he rushed over to Cassie.

He carried her and dashed towards their bags. It was there that he gave her the first aid. He bandaged her head and arm then gave her a few pills to subside the pain.

Then he picked up his bag and began to collect the crystals in the demons.

Most of the crystals were light green. And these came from the underlings he had taken to hell.

The crystal from the demon boss shone extremely bright. The green colour was mixed with a sense of blue.

With that, Xero was sure they had defeated a Max Regular. A feat possible for Level 20 and above.

He flexed his fingers wondering just how powerful he had become from killing. It was nice to think of the strength he could harness if he continued this way.

Then he remembered the Hellborn. What the hell was a Hellborn? He promised to search that up the library as soon as they left the dungeon.

Just then a thick black fog covered around them and it shook the ground beneath them violently.

Then it cleared and just like that they were back inside the tunnel.

"What the..." Xero muttered as he looked up.
