I Am Already A Queen
Chapter 73: It Is Not Her First Time Doing Something Like ThisChapter 73: Chapter 73: It Is Not Her First Time Doing Something Like This
"So, would you care to explain why these two unapproved luxury items are sitting on our purchase invoice?" Jiang Suhan narrowed his sharp eyes, turning a freezing, prosecutorial gaze toward the manager. "Manager Kuang, I am all ears."
"T-This... This..." Manager Kuang stammered, his entire body instantly locking up as a cold sweat broke out across his back under Jiang Suhan’s suffocating glare.
Suddenly, a terrifying realisation occurred to him. He whipped around like a predator sensing danger, fixing his gaze on the trembling sales assistant standing behind the register.
"You!" Manager Kuang barked, his voice booming through the quiet boutique. "Did you covertly add these two luxury items to Mr Jiang’s final purchase list?"
"T-That... I... I don’t know how that happened..." The sales assistant instinctively lowered her head, her voice cracking as she tried to feign ignorance, utterly lacking the courage to openly admit her crime.
"I see. I see..." Manager Kuang nodded, his expression turning entirely transactional and lethal. "Since you don’t know, we will immediately head to the security office and thoroughly review the HD CCTV footage of your terminal."
The exact moment the words CCTV footage echoed through the room, the last remaining colour drained from the sales assistant’s face, leaving her deathly pale. She knew with absolute, crushing certainty that there was no loophole left for her to exploit. Without another second of useless hesitation, her facade completely collapsed, and she dropped all pretence.
"Manager Kuang, please, I beg of you, forgive me! I... I simply lost my mind for a split second. I swear on my life I will never, ever do something like this again!" The sales assistant cried out hysterically, hot tears streaming down her heavily made-up face. She then frantically spun around toward Jiang Suhan and Qiao Meixia, bowing repeatedly until her hair fell out of its neat pin. "Mr Jiang... Miss Jiang... Please show mercy and forgive me. I swear I won’t ever do it again!"
Jiang Suhan merely let out a low, deeply dismissive snort. "I highly doubt this is your very first time executing a stunt like this."
The sales assistant’s face instantly went from pale to a ghostly, translucent white.
When Manager Kuang heard Jiang Suhan’s razor-sharp deduction, his own professional instincts instantly reached the exact same grim conclusion. He shot the sobbing assistant a furious, disgusted glare. In his heart, the corporate verdict had already been reached. There was absolutely no universe in which this reckless woman would continue drawing a paycheck from his store.
Turning back toward Jiang Suhan, Manager Kuang immediately lowered his posture by ninety degrees, his attitude dripping with profound, apologetic respect.
"Mr Jiang, please allow me to personally handle and process your transaction from this point forward." The manager stated.
Manager Kuang’s fingers flew across the keyboard, instantly deleting the two unauthorised luxury items from the system before carefully printing a fresh, immaculate purchase list. He respectfully presented the updated invoice to Jiang Suhan with both hands.
"Please have another review, Mr Jiang." The manager stated respectfully.
Jiang Suhan carefully scanned every single line item on the printed list once more. After confirming that the quantities and prices perfectly aligned with what they had chosen, he finally gave a curt nod.
"Everything is correct now." Jiang Suhan stated.
"Very good." Manager Kuang smiled politely, breathing a small sigh of relief as he extended the wireless payment terminal. "Please execute your payment right here, sir."
Jiang Suhan casually tapped his elite black bank card against the sleek machine.
Beep.
The transaction was instantly approved without a single hitch.
"Please arrange for every single item to be securely delivered to the main Jiang Residence exactly three days from now." Jiang Suhan instructed smoothly, pocketing his card.
"Certainly, Mr Jiang." Manager Kuang nodded repeatedly, his tone utterly solemn. "I will personally oversee the loading and delivery, guaranteeing that absolutely nothing will go wrong."
"Good." Jiang Suhan nodded with cool satisfaction before turning his gaze back toward Qiao Meixia, his eyes warming up instantly. "Qiaoqiao, let’s go home."
Qiao Meixia simply gave a small nod and silently followed Jiang Suhan out of the high-end boutique. As their footsteps cleared the threshold, she casually glanced back from the absolute periphery of her vision.
Just as her calculated logic had predicted, the moment their backs were turned, Manager Kuang’s polite smile instantly transformed into a mask of pure, unadulterated ice as he faced the trembling assistant. Naturally, there was no way a seasoned retail manager intended to let a liability like her off easily.
"You!" Manager Kuang’s voice was sharp and low. "Clear out your personal locker, pack your belongings, and get out of my store immediately."
"Manager Kuang, please don’t fire me!" The sales assistant pleaded desperately, grabbing at his sleeve. "I promise I will reform! Please... I am begging you on my knees!"
The surrounding boutique staff stood in absolute silence, watching the entire humiliating scene unfold without a single person stepping forward to utter a word on her behalf.
Normally, this specific sales assistant loved acting incredibly arrogant and superior around the other employees. She constantly, ruthlessly judged every customer based entirely on how expensive their clothes looked.
Whenever a customer entered the boutique wearing ordinary, unbranded, or inexpensive clothing, she would deliberately turn her nose up and aggressively push those "worthless" customers onto her newer colleagues. However, the exact millisecond she realised a customer was blindingly wealthy and ready to splurge, she would shamelessly slide in, pull rank, and steal the sale so the massive commission would belong exclusively to her.
The other employees had previously never dared to offend her because Manager Kuang had always favoured her high sales numbers and protected her.
