Chapter 113: Chapter 113
Lysander’s pov
My eyes widened slightly, a sudden knot of emotion tightening in my throat. "You did? I will?"
"Of course," he said simply, as if it were the most natural thing in the world. "You are an artist. You belong in school the light, painting whatever you choose. No one will ever force you into a corner again. But tonight..."
He reached up, running his fingers gently through my golden hair, his smile turning impossibly handsome.
"Tonight, I am taking you out on a real date. Just you and me."
By the time evening settled over the coast, the sky had transformed into a canvas of deep violet and fiery rose.
Drake took me down to a private cliffside terrace overlooking the glowing water, illuminated only by soft lantern fire and the pale light of the moon. The restaurant had been cleared completely, just a single table set with fine crystal, silver, and fresh white orchids.
For the first time since I met him, He wasn’t dressed in his formal, intimidating dark suits. He wore a relaxed, open-collared dark shirt that suited the coastal breeze, his posture casual yet effortlessly powerful.
We talked for hours. I told him about my art projects, my favorite master painters, and how I used to sneak out onto the roof of my old house just to watch the sunrise. In return, Drake shared stories of some of the students.
Every time his hand reached across the linen tablecloth to cover mine, the Mating Bond sang with a sweet, intense heat that made my heart hammer in my chest. He looked at me not as a prize, an asset, or a fragile thing to be locked away, but as his equal, his chosen mate.
When the wine was finished, Drake stood up, offering his hand to me under the moonlight. He didn’t take us back to the car. Instead, he led me down a winding stone staircase carved directly into the face of the cliff, bringing us to a private, hidden cove where the warm tide lapped gently against black volcanic sand.
The night air was warm, carrying the scent of wild jasmine and salt water.
Drake stopped near the edge of the water, pulling me gently against his front. He reached down, cupping my jaw with both hands, his dark red eyes burning with a deep, possessive devotion that took my breath away.
"I spent centuries waiting for something real, Lysander," Drake whispered, "And I found it in you."
My heart pounded against my ribs as I looked up at him, wrapping my arms tight around his neck. "I’m glad you found me, I don’t know what you would have done."
He let out a low, dark growl, leaning down to capture my lips in a deep, bruising kiss that instantly set my blood on fire. He swept me up into his broad arms without breaking the kiss, carrying me up the private pathway and back into the secluded master suite of the villa.
He set me down gently on the edge of the massive, silk-draped bed, stepping between my knees as his hands slid up the front of my shirt, his glowing crimson eyes locking onto mine with an intense, unyielding heat.
Drake stepped between my knees at the edge of the silk-draped bed and shook his head, a low, rumble vibrating in his broad chest. He reached down, catching my hands and sliding my palms down the warm, solid expanse of his bare chest, guiding my skin over his taut muscles. The heat radiating off him was intoxicating, triggering an immediate, heavy reaction between my thighs.
My fingers accidentally brushed against the hard length straining against his trousers. Drake let out a low, sharp hiss through his teeth. His dark red eyes burned down at me with an intense, unyielding heat.
"Get on your knees, little bird," Drake ordered softly, his voice thick with ancient, dark authority.
I obeyed without a second’s hesitation, sliding off the edge of the mattress until I was kneeling on the soft rug, face-to-face with his arousal. I looked up at him through my golden fringe, my pulse hammering wildly in my throat, still a bit breathless and unsure.
"Take me into your mouth," he commanded again, his voice a low, possessive velvet.
I blinked slowly, my chest heaving as I watched a bead of clear precum glisten at the tip. I licked my dry lips, shaping them into a soft ’O’. My hands reached out, my fingers wrapping around the thick base of his length. Drake flinched slightly at my touch, the raw, predatory desire in his eyes flaring impossibly brighter.
"L... like this?" I asked quietly, looking up to meet his dark gaze.
Drake gave a slow, approving nod.
I tightened my grip around him, my heart hammering like a trapped bird against my ribs. But alongside the nervousness, a strange, fierce heat stirred deep in my gut. I wanted this. I wanted to give him pleasure, to break that centuries-old control of his. Leaning forward before I could second-guess myself, my tongue darted out, gently licking the bead of moisture from the tip.
"Jesus, Lysander," he swore, his voice cracking into a dark growl.
His large hand came down, sinking his fingers into my golden hair to grip a fistful. He gently guided my head back toward him.
"Open for me," he growled softly.
I parted my lips, allowing him to guide himself inside. The taste of him immediately flooded my senses with masculine heat that made my mouth water.
My tongue swirled out to taste him again, and Drake’s grip in my hair tightened instantly, drawing a soft, muffled groan from my throat. I peeked up through my lashes, the familiar, nervous heat still fluttering in my chest.
"You are doing so well," he encouraged, his low voice dripping with dark affection. "But tonight is about your pleasure, little bird. Allow me."
He reached down, taking me by the arms to pull me back up to my feet. With effortless, smooth movements, he stripped away the rest of my clothes until we were both completely bare under the warm, flicking lantern light, staring at each other’s flushed skin.
"Turn around," Drake purred softly.
