The two remained silent for a few seconds, sharing that moment of connection. The forest around them seemed calmer, as if it too were resting after the events of the night.

Then Clavor slipped a hand inside his robe, his fingers moving as though searching for something familiar. When he pulled it out, another book rested in his hands, smaller than the Lunar Source Manual.

Its cover was made of dark blue leather, almost black, so dark that it seemed to absorb the moonlight instead of reflecting it.

Silver details depicted a full moon surrounded by five luminous lines radiating from it like beams of light.

At the center, engraved in silver with elegant calligraphy, was a title.

"Lunar Connection Method."

Lukas’s eyes immediately lit up, his exhaustion momentarily forgotten. He recognized the style of the book, the same quality as the previous manual.

Clavor extended the book, holding it carefully in his hands.

"This is the second step."

Lukas accepted it with the utmost care, his hands almost trembling with excitement. It felt strange. In this world, books containing techniques like these were worth fortunes, treasures kept under lock and key within the libraries of noble families.

And yet his father simply placed one into his hands as though it were the most natural thing in the world. What Lukas did not know was that every noble household possessed these manuals free of charge by the king’s decree, ensuring that such knowledge would never be lost.

He ran his fingers across the cover, feeling the smooth texture of the leather beneath his skin before slowly opening it, the pages creaking softly.

The first pages contained extremely detailed illustrations of the human body, not artistic drawings but precise anatomical diagrams. Yet they were not ordinary diagrams. Silver lines stretched throughout the body, tracing invisible paths through flesh and bone.

They began at the heart, where a small moon was drawn. They branched toward the shoulders like rivers dividing into smaller streams. They flowed down the arms, winding between the muscles. They passed through the hips, curving around the bones. They reached the legs, extending all the way to the feet. They climbed the spine, following every vertebra. They ended in the head, where an empty circle waited to be filled.

They resembled underground rivers. Or the roots of a massive invisible tree stretching throughout the body to nourish every part of it.

Lukas turned another page, his eyes absorbing every detail. Then another. There were dozens of different diagrams, each illustrating the process from a different perspective.

Some showed the correct flow of mana, silver arrows indicating the ideal direction. Others demonstrated common mistakes, places where mana could accumulate or be lost.

Certain pages contained handwritten notes in the margins, written in a different script, probably added by previous practitioners of the method over the years.

He could barely hide his curiosity, his eyes racing across the pages with a hunger that surprised even himself.

"Father..." His voice came out softly, almost a whisper.

"This..." He raised the book, his fingers carefully gripping its edges.

"Is this the path of mana?"

Clavor nodded firmly.

"Yes." He sat down beside him on the grass, settling comfortably as someone who had spent many nights in that forest.

"Imagine the Source as a lake."

He picked up a small twig from the ground and drew a circle in the dirt, its tip carving a deep groove into the soil.

"But a lake by itself cannot irrigate a forest."

Then he drew several rivers flowing out from that circle, lines stretching in every direction like the rays of a star.

"For the water to reach every tree, it needs channels."

He looked directly at Lukas, his eyes meeting his son’s violet gaze.

"Mana works the same way."

His finger pointed once again to his son’s chest, indicating the exact place where the Source pulsed.

"Your Source already exists."

Then he pointed to his arms, the muscles still tense from training.

"But your mana still can’t reach here."

He pointed to his legs, firmly planted on the grass.

"Nor here."

Finally, he touched his own forehead, his fingers resting gently against his temple.

"Much less here."

Lukas understood immediately, a wave of clarity washing over him. The Source was only the beginning, the heart of the system. Everything else still had to be built, every channel that would carry mana to every part of his body.

It was like having a heart... but no veins. Or owning a reservoir... without any pipes to carry the water elsewhere.

His excitement grew even stronger, a flame burning within his chest. Now he finally understood how great warriors were able to strengthen every muscle in their bodies. First they created the Source, then they built the pathways, and only then could mana circulate freely.

It was a far more complex process than he had imagined, a journey that would require patience and discipline. And for the first time, Lukas realized that he was only at the beginning. The true journey of a warrior had only just begun.

Lukas took a deep breath before turning his attention back to the manual. His excitement still made his heart beat faster, but he forced himself to calm down, remembering the lessons he had learned. If he had learned anything during the formation of the Lunar Source, it was that haste and mana did not mix. Every attempt to speed up the process only made it slower.

He opened the first page, his eyes carefully scanning the text. Just beneath the title, a sentence was written in silver letters, shining beneath the moonlight.

"A Source without pathways is like a river trapped within a mountain. It possesses water, yet it will never reach the fields it was meant to nourish."

Lukas continued reading, absorbing every word. As he advanced through the pages, he realized that this method was a direct continuation of the Lunar Source Manual.

The first had taught him how to create the heart of the system, the center, the core. The second taught him how to build everything else, the arteries, the veins, the channels that would carry energy to every part of his being.

Each page contained new diagrams of the human body, showing the channels at different stages of development. Thin streams of mana flowed outward from the heart, running through muscles, tendons, joints, and bones, tracing precise routes throughout the body. Small notes explained which regions were easier to connect and which demanded extreme caution.
