"Did you understand?"

"Yes." The answer was firm, filled with conviction.

"Then explain it to me." The test came immediately, as always.

Lukas began, organizing his thoughts into clear words.

"Mana leaves the Lunar Source through the main channels and is distributed throughout the body. I shouldn’t simply pour mana into one area as if it were water."

"I need to envelop the tissues with it, maintaining a stable and controlled flow. The more mana I use, the greater the reinforcement, but also the greater the consumption. And I need to start with small amounts until I discover how much my body can withstand."

Clavor smiled, a smile of genuine approval.

"Correct."

Lukas stood up, his movements full of energy.

"Can I try?"

"Go ahead." Clavor’s response was calm, but his eyes were attentive.

Lukas closed his eyes, plunging into the inner darkness. He took a deep breath, feeling the air fill his lungs. He found the Lunar Source, the small moon pulsing inside his chest, its silver light shining within his consciousness.

He touched it with his consciousness, feeling its presence. Then he began to move it, the mana, letting the Source flow like water from a spring.

It descended. Passed through his hips. Entered his legs. First the left, then the right. The sensation was immediate and intense, a cold heat coursing through his muscles, a strange contradiction that he still didn’t fully understand.

The mana was cold, but his body seemed to heat up, as if an inner flame were being lit. The muscles in his thighs became tense, ready for action. His calves gained a sensation of density, as if they had become more solid. His bones seemed firmer, more resistant, as if they had been reinforced from within.

Lukas opened his eyes, surprised by the sensation.

"This is..."

He bent his knees, testing his newfound strength. The ground seemed different, closer, more fragile, as if it could be broken with a simple movement. He felt like he could jump much higher than he had ever imagined, as if gravity had lost some of its power over him.

Clavor noticed the expression on his face, the barely contained excitement in his eyes.

"Don’t overdo it."

Lukas nodded, his voice firm.

"Of course."

Two seconds later...

He jumped.

"Lukas!" Clavor’s voice came too late.

Lukas’s body shot upward like an arrow launched from a powerful bow. The ground disappeared beneath him, the trees seemed to shrink as he rose, higher, higher, higher.

Lukas opened his eyes completely, adrenaline coursing through his veins.

"WHOA!"

He had risen several meters, far higher than any ordinary human jump could reach. Euphoria took hold, a sensation of freedom and power he had never experienced before.

Until he realized the problem.

He didn’t know how to land.

His body began to fall, gravity reclaiming its dominion over him. The ground approached rapidly, the earth seeming to rise to meet him.

"Ah." The word escaped his lips, filled with belated realization.

Lukas tried to move his legs, tried to find a position that would allow for a safe landing. He couldn’t control the strength, his muscles still responding to the overdose of mana he had channeled into them.

Then he made an instinctive decision, his survival instinct speaking louder than conscious thought.

He expanded the reinforcement.

Mana exploded from the Lunar Source, a burst of energy that spread throughout his entire body. Arms, chest, back, legs, neck, head, everything was enveloped by that protective layer, an invisible armor that formed in fractions of a second.

And then he fell.

’BOOM!’

...

Returning to the present, Lukas could still feel the echo of the impact in his bones.

He was once again standing in the middle of the clearing, shaking the dirt from his clothes. Clavor walked toward him, his steps calm and controlled. The warrior looked at the small crater created by the impact, a depression in the ground that bore witness to the force of the fall. Then he looked at Lukas, his eyes scanning his son for injuries.

"Really..." A smile appeared on Clavor’s face, filled with amusement.

"You almost got yourself killed."

Lukas scratched the back of his neck, a gesture of embarrassment.

"I thought I could control it."

"You couldn’t." Clavor’s observation was direct, but not cruel.

"I noticed." Lukas admitted, a nervous laugh escaping his lips.

Clavor crossed his arms, his eyes fixed on his son.

"Can you explain the mistake?"

Lukas thought, his mind analyzing every sensation he had experienced during the jump and the fall. This time, he didn’t answer immediately, allowing the pieces to fall into place in his mind.

"I used too much mana." The conclusion came clearly.

"How much?" Clavor pressed, wanting to see the depth of his son’s understanding.

"Almost a third of the Source just to reinforce my legs during the jump." The estimate came out precisely, Lukas remembering exactly how much energy he had channeled.

Clavor nodded, acknowledging the precision of the answer.

"And afterward?"

"When I realized I was going to fall, I distributed mana throughout my entire body." The second part of the analysis came more slowly, the understanding taking shape.

"That was what saved you." Clavor’s observation was simple, but filled with meaning.

Lukas looked at his own body, as if seeing something new within it.

"I felt it."

Clavor continued, his voice taking on a didactic tone.

"The problem wasn’t just the amount. It was the distribution. You put too much mana into your legs before the jump. You produced enough force to completely surpass your physical control."

"So I should have used less?" Lukas’s question was sincere, seeking understanding.

"Much less." Clavor’s response was firm.

"An experienced warrior doesn’t use the maximum amount of strength available. He uses exactly the amount necessary for each situation."

Lukas fell silent, his father’s words echoing in his mind. It seemed simple in theory, but now he understood that in practice it was much more complex.

"If I use too little mana..." He began, thinking aloud.

"You waste potential." Clavor finished, completing his thought.

"If I use too much..." Lukas continued.

"You lose control." The conclusion came naturally.

"Then the goal is to find the balance." The final understanding illuminated his face.

"Exactly." Clavor placed a hand on his son’s shoulder, his touch firm and encouraging.

"And there’s something else."
