"Are you anxious?" Clavor’s question was simple.

Lukas did not try to hide it, his honesty shining in his eyes.

"Very."

Clavor let out a small laugh, a rare and genuine sound.

"It’s good to be excited. But remember, Lunar Reinforcement isn’t about brute strength."

"I know." The response was immediate.

"You do?" Clavor’s eyebrow rose, testing him.

"Control." The word came out firmly, filled with understanding.

Clavor nodded, a smile of approval on his lips.

"Exactly."

Lukas picked up a piece of bread, his fingers wrapping around the crispy crust. That simple conversation made his anticipation grow even stronger, the flame of anticipation burning brighter in his chest.

He wanted to understand how mana worked inside the body, how that invisible energy could be transformed into tangible strength. Until then, he had learned to absorb it, to sense its presence in the world around him. Then, to store it inside the Lunar Source, creating a reservoir of power.

Then, to distribute it through the five main channels, establishing the connections that would allow him to use it.

But now he would learn to do something completely different, to transform it into real strength, into power that could be felt and used.

Breakfast ended quickly, the plates being cleared away with efficient movements. As soon as Lukas finished eating, Clavor stood up, his movements fluid and controlled.

"Let’s go."

Father and son left the mansion together, their footsteps echoing through the silence of the morning.

...

The morning was cold, the air fresh and humid. A thin layer of moisture covered the leaves and grass, every surface shining with small drops of dew that reflected the growing sunlight like diamonds scattered across the landscape.

The path to the clearing was familiar, every curve, every tree, every stone known like the walls of his own room. Lukas walked beside his father, but his mind was far away, lost in imagination and anticipation.

He imagined what it would be like. Would his strength double? Triple? Would he be able to run faster than any ordinary person, jump higher than the rooftops of houses, and break a tree with a single blow? The possibilities seemed endless, a horizon stretching out before him.

His imagination began to run wild, creating increasingly exaggerated scenarios.

Clavor noticed, his eyes catching the distant expression on his son’s face.

"Don’t try to do anything before reading the manual."

Lukas looked at him, surprised that he had been discovered.

"I didn’t even do anything."

"Yet." Clavor’s word was firm but filled with amusement.

Lukas laughed, recognizing the truth in his father’s words.

"Is it that obvious?"

"Very." Clavor’s smile was small, but genuine.

When they reached the clearing, the sun was already beginning to rise above the treetops, its golden light bathing the open space. Clavor stopped in the center, his eyes sweeping over the familiar surroundings, and opened the small bag attached to his side.

He took out a book.

The cover was bluish-gray, a color reminiscent of the sky before dawn. No drawings, no adornments, no decoration beyond its simplicity. Only two words were engraved in the center, in silver letters that gleamed beneath the sunlight.

"LUNAR REINFORCEMENT"

Lukas received the book with both hands, his fingers wrapping around the cover with reverence. His eyes shone, excitement overflowing.

"Finally."

Clavor pointed to a nearby stone, its surface flat and smooth.

"Sit down."

Lukas obeyed, settling onto the stone in the familiar position he had assumed so many times during meditation.

He opened the manual, his hands turning the pages carefully.

The content was relatively simple, written in clear and direct language. The first part explained the fundamental principle, the Lunar Source did not serve merely as a reservoir of mana but as the center for distributing the energy.

Through the five main channels, Lukas could transport mana to different regions of the body, irrigating them with power.

But mana should not simply be poured into the muscles like water into a bucket. It was necessary to envelop them, coat them, nourish them, and strengthen them in a precise and controlled manner. Like a blacksmith who gradually heats metal, rather than plunging it into flames.

Mana could temporarily increase the muscles’ ability to generate force, making movements more powerful and explosive. It could also reinforce the bones, increasing their resistance and density.

The tendons and ligaments could withstand greater loads, preventing injuries. The skin could receive a thin layer of mana, reducing damage caused by superficial impacts. Even the internal organs could be protected, surrounded by a layer of energy that kept them safe.

But all of this came at a price.

Mana. Every moment of reinforcement consumed energy from the Source, gradually draining it. The reinforcement was not permanent; as long as Lukas maintained the technique, his Source would be constantly drained, like a reservoir slowly emptying.

The more areas of the body were reinforced simultaneously, the greater the consumption. The greater the amount of mana used in each region, the greater the physical enhancement would be, but also the greater the risk of losing control and causing harm to himself.

The manual also explained that the recommended method was gradual and patient. First, the legs, to establish the foundation. Then, the core, the center of the body. Next, the torso. Then, the arms. Finally, the head and senses, the most delicate regions. The technique needed to become natural, a second nature, before being used in combat.

There were also clear signs of overexertion and warnings about what to avoid. Intense tingling, muscle stiffness, lack of coordination, involuntary contractions, and a sensation of pressure. When any of these signs appeared, the practitioner should immediately reduce the flow, allowing the body to recover.

Lukas read everything, every word being absorbed and processed. Once, he went back to the beginning, reading it again with even greater attention. Fifteen minutes later, he closed the book, his hands holding the cover with a new understanding.

He had memorized practically everything.

Clavor watched, his eyes catching the expression of understanding on his son’s face.
