The white transfer light swallowed everything for a few seconds.

There was no sound of battle left, no smell of blood from the Giants’ Graveyard and no suffocating pressure of the four Ancient Cindari, only that complete whiteness that separated the surviving bodies from a world that was falling apart.

A moment later, the light disappeared.

Dozens of bodies appeared almost at the same time in front of the huge rift of Base Number 9.

Some of them fell to the ground immediately.

Some were not even conscious enough to understand where they were and a few others could only stay on their feet for a few more seconds by leaning on their broken weapons.

Among them, Lian was also lying on the ground.

From a few meters away, his condition looked terrible.

His clothes were almost completely covered in dried blood.

The cloth over his chest, where Seris’s sword had passed through his heart, was completely torn open and a large dark bloodstain covered much of his upper body.

But there was no wound under those clothes, the skin on his chest was smooth and his ribs were fine.

His heart was beating at a completely normal rhythm and mana was moving through his paths without the smallest problem.

Two healers almost ran toward him at the same time after seeing his blood-covered clothes and one of them knelt beside Lian and placed two fingers on his neck.

A few seconds later, he frowned.

"Wait..." the healer said with confusion and changed the position of his fingers again.

The second healer, who was taking out a checking tool, quickly looked at him.

"What happened?" he asked with concern.

The first healer did not answer.

He removed his hand from Lian’s neck and this time held his palm a few centimeters above his chest, a faint ring of mana appeared and passed from Lian’s head to his feet.

A small status panel appeared in front of him and the man stared at the results for a few moments.

Then he scanned him again.

The second healer became impatient.

"What happened?" he asked more firmly this time.

"Nothing." the first healer answered with a frown.

For a moment, the second man thought he had heard wrong.

"What do you mean, nothing?" he asked in disbelief and pointed at Lian’s clothes that were almost covered in blood.

"Just what I said, he has no injuries." the first healer said in a way that even he could not believe his own answer.

"Then where did all this blood come from?"

"I don’t know."

And at that exact moment, Lian’s eyes opened.

The first thing he felt was air, real air, without the smell of the Titan’s decay, without ash and without the presence of Black Silence.

For a moment he only breathed, then the shouts of the healers, the running soldiers and the emergency alarms entered his ears.

He had really returned, he had finally returned to the Ruined Realm with his own body.

Lian slowly raised his head.

The healer who was kneeling beside him almost took a step back.

"You’re conscious?" the man asked in surprise.

The young Vorhelm did not answer immediately, he placed his palm on the ground and slowly sat up.

His clothes were stuck to his skin and almost his entire body smelled like blood, but he felt no physical pain.

His eyes briefly moved toward his own hands.

They were fine and even the small scars from his previous injuries had disappeared.

The extra life had not only started his heart again, it had completely rebuilt his body.

Lian was still checking his body when his eyes moved to the right and stopped on someone.

Darian.

His older brother was standing several dozen meters away.

His armor was broken and covered in blood in several places, but compared to the other survivors, his condition was relatively good.

He was probably the healthiest person to return from the Graveyard after Lian.

Darian also saw him at that exact moment and his expression changed for less than a second.

It was so small that if Lian had not heard his words a few minutes earlier, he might not have noticed it at all.

Darian’s usual smile disappeared for a moment and his eyes opened slightly wider, a short flash of pure shock appeared in his eyes.

He was truly surprised, not just surprised but even shocked and stunned ... how? How was he alive? How was this bastard still alive? He was sure he was dead! He should have been dead, his heart had been pierced! So how was he still alive?

Then everything disappeared and he did not let even the smallest sign of emotion show, and the same relaxed smile appeared on his face again.

"Thanks for your help, it’s true that I couldn’t control my body but I saw everything." Lian smiled and spoke in a way that only he could hear.

"It was my duty to protect our world from that disaster." Darian said with a completely honest expression.

"Another reason I was able to survive was because of your help, so I should thank you."

"I’m glad you’re alive, at least I don’t have to be the one to take the news of your death home."

For anyone else, the sentence was just something a brother would say, but Lian still had the voice of that same man in his mind.

I never thought you’d kill yourself without me even needing to get my hands dirty.

"It’s true that, like other brothers and sisters, we don’t really know each other, but I’m glad I saw you, I hope we can see each other again before you leave this base." Lian said calmly with a sarcastic tone.

"Of course." Darian answered casually.

Then the shout of one of the healers made his gaze move away from Lian.

But Lian was sure about one thing, Darian’s shock had been real, he had not expected him to stand up again and the fact that he was alive had clearly caused disbelief and disappointment in him, as if his goal had failed.

Even so, he still showed nothing, for now it was better for Darian to continue believing that nobody had heard his words.

Lian looked away from his brother and checked the area around him.

Rindo was a few meters away among the healers, Cassian was there as well, Liana was sitting on the ground and Selina was almost unconscious from exhaustion.

Seraphina had completely lost consciousness.

Aren was standing in pain between several officers and healers, looking around in confusion.

Seris was also being carried away on a stretcher.

But something was missing, he looked around one more time and then his expression became serious.

One.

There was no sign of the giant ant.

Lian’s eyes narrowed slightly and he immediately opened his system panel.

[Hive Link]

[Status: Active.]

The slight pressure in his chest became a little weaker, the skill had not disappeared and to make sure, he opened the next panel.

[Colony:]

[Member: One.]

[Status: Alive.]

Lian stared at the last line for a few seconds, it was alive, at least that part was solved and he did not need to worry about the life of the only member of his colony.

But why had it not been transferred with them? Even Aren had been transferred even though he was an Awakener and was not from their world.

But why had the member of his colony not been transferred?

He focused his attention on the connection and a new panel appeared.

[Distance from Network Member: Outside the World Boundary.]

[Direct Connection: Impossible.]

[Interworld Path: Not Detected.]

Lian frowned.

So One had remained in that world.

The transfer had probably only returned the main participants of the mission and the humans recognized by the system.

One was neither of those, he was a native creature that had become connected to Lian through the S-Rank innate talent, Mother of the Colony.

He checked more options to see if he could find a way to summon him or something similar.

His S-Rank talent also had other innate abilities that had not been unlocked yet and unlocking them required him to complete the First Evolution.

Maybe if he completed his evolution, he could find a way to bring One to this world.

"So I found another reason." Lian quietly said under his breath.

His evolution was no longer only for himself, if his guess was correct, it was also the only way to bring his giant ant to this world.

His condition was not good the last time he had seen him.

No matter how fast the transfer had happened and no matter how slowly time passed there, he did not want to leave him alone for too long.

"Sir, we need to go." the healer beside Lian said seriously.

"I’m fine and I don’t need treatment." Lian answered as he slowly stood up.

The healer stared at him for a few seconds and then looked at his clothes, the torn chest and dried blood from his neck to his waist.

The man let out a short sigh.

"With respect, what you’re wearing right now is almost completely made of blood." he said dryly.

Lian looked at himself.

"This is old blood, I didn’t have any clothes to change into, so it became like this." Lian calmly explained.

The healer was silent for a moment and then his face tightened.

"That doesn’t make me feel better at all."

"You might have internal injuries that the first check did not find. Your mana paths or soul could be damaged, even if we find nothing, you at least need a full check."

Lian looked at the others for a moment.

The healers were already quickly taking Seris, Seraphina and several others toward the medical section.

There was no point in arguing anymore.

"Fine."

"Thank you." the healer almost breathed in relief.

In the end, he was forced to spend almost an entire day in the medical section of Base Number 9.
