I Can Level Up Infinitely

Chapter 216: A Pair Of War Gods

Leon weaved between the monsters as if he were a phantom. Wherever he passed by, corpses piled behind him.

What Leon didn’t notice was that the dense indigo aura that was cloaking his sword was actually undergoing a change at this moment as he continued his slaughter.

Leon had already slaughtered more than one hundred demons. More than three hundred remained. Yet there was no worry in his eyes, no panic in his heart. He continued fighting as if he were going through a regular training session.

A giant double-headed demon appeared before Leon and swung a club. Leon almost dodged it, but at the last moment the weapon changed its trajectory and slammed into Leon’s chest.

Booooom!

With a violent shockwave, Leon was hurled back. The demons made way for him to pass. Mid-air, Leon struck the sword to the ground to reduce the speed and then flipped in the air before landing on the ground. He leaned forward as the ground beneath his feet cracked. And then...

Whoooooosh!

Without Leon even realizing it, his bloodline had already started elevating all his strength factors like damage and speed. Because even just the sight of demons was enough to sour his mood.

As Leon closed the distance toward the double-headed demon, the dense indigo aura grew deeper. Some of the demons shrieked in fear. The double-headed monster also noticed it. It wanted to retreat, but Leon appeared before it as the Demon Sword flashed. The demon’s head was tossed in the air before starting to decay. The headless body also collapsed and started to decay. Leon again engrossed himself in slaughtering the demons. The more he slaughtered, the deeper the indigo aura became.

200 demons remained.

Another dungeon boss-like demon appeared. This one had wings on its back. As those wings flapped in the air, a powerful gust of wind shot toward Leon and struck him. The impact forced Leon backward. After being pushed back for several meters, he gritted his teeth and shot toward the winged demon.

Seeing this, the demon started to rise higher in the sky, but Leon had no intention of letting it go. He stomped his foot on the ground as his body shot upward like a cannonball. Reaching the same height as the winged demon, Leon spun in the air.

A mixture of indigo and crimson aura flashed by.

Schlk!

The demon was sliced in half before plummeting to the ground.

Leon landed gracefully. And then he resumed the fight.

The demon that was organizing Leon’s tests continued to observe the battle from high above the sky. Time passed by.

When fewer than fifty demons remained, the dense indigo turned deep indigo.

The demons could feel it. The aura that was cloaking Leon’s sword now, it was dangerous. Each one of them spun on their heels and started fleeing. But Leon’s body blurred, vanishing from his position.

He moved as if he were a lightning bolt. Only a mixture of deep indigo and crimson streaks could be seen as the remaining fifty demons collapsed one after another. Each corpse decayed in the air, leaving behind a core.

Within just one minute after Leon’s demon-purging aura had changed, the battlefield turned totally silent.

Leon stood there, panting a little. Sweat drops rolled down his forehead.

"Congratulations, master. Another phase has ended. Now only one more phase is remaining for this trial to end. I will let you know when the one-day rest time is over." The demon knew what Leon wanted to do.

Leon nodded and found a place to cultivate. He continued cultivating without wasting a second for the whole day. And this time, the avatar’s realm rose from the second level of Martial Warrior to the first level of Martial Master, only two levels behind Leon.

Once the deadline was over, Leon stood up once more. "Demon Sword." He commanded. The system panel shimmered as the Demon Sword materialized in Leon’s hand.

"I will start the final phase of the second trial, master. Best of luck for this one." The demon said before soaring high into the sky.

With a snap of his fingers, Leon’s opponents started to emerge from the ground.

Humans, monsters, elves... Except for demons, opponents from every race were emerging.

And their numbers? It continued to rise like there was no end.

One thousand!

Two thousand!

...

...

...

One million.

Two million.

Leon could only see an ocean of opponents in any direction he faced without any end on the horizon.

Leon gulped. "What the hell? This many?"

The number was so overwhelming that the number of monsters during the first phase paled in comparison. The ratio would be something around one to at least one hundred or two hundred.

Leon released a sigh and tightened his grip around the sword hilt. "Tenth form...

Astral Avatar." Leon whispered.

The avatar materialized behind him. This time, it stood at the height of twenty meters. Almost equivalent to a six-story building. And the Demon Sword it was carrying? It was almost ten meters long. The sword was so massive that if the avatar just dropped it by mistake, it would kill at least three to four Disaster Class monsters instantly.

"Mirror." Leon issued the command as he lunged forward.

Leon entered amidst a group of six opponents and spun on his heel. The Demon Sword cleaved all of them in half.

Meanwhile, the Astral Avatar did the same. Going forward, it spun. The massive Demon Sword cut through the air as the space distorted. Instantly, three hundred opponents were flattened in the distance around Leon.

One giant minatour lunged at Leon. Leon jumped in the air and released a downward slash. The minatour was sliced in half swiftly.

The avatar had also jumped and released a downward slash.

The moment the massive Demon Sword in its hand struck, not only did another four to five hundred monsters die, but a long fissure also appeared in the ground, smoke curling up from it.

Leon raised the sword and placed it on his shoulder.

The avatar followed.

The duo stood like a pair of war gods looking down on the battlefield.
