He swung. A wide arc of energy shot forward to the right. Space cracked as the arc of energy struck something in the air. The next moment, the male elf’s figure appeared with a horizontal crimson red line at his waist.

Schlk! The upper half slid from the lower half and thudded on the ground.

Leon raised the sword at the back like a shield, and a scream came at the same time.

"Die!" It was the female elf. She had appeared out of nowhere and thrown a dagger at Leon, which struck the raised sword with a clang sound.

Leon was pushed back a little. But he quickly swung the sword again. Another arc of energy shot forward.

A majestic rapier appeared in her hand as she swung it, a swirl of energy surrounding the blade like a tsunami.

Leon’s energy arc shattered like glass. But Leon wasn’t done. He swung the Demon Sword in quick succession.

Multiple energy arcs shot forward.

The female elf dealt with all the strikes except one. One had shimmered slightly when her blade struck it before continuing forward.

The female elf’s eyes widened as she tried to react, but the arc struck her chest with a sickening schlk.

Blood splattered on the ground as she too collapsed.

"Phew!" Leon released a sigh. "This time I had only two opponents, but they were really tough," Leon said while lowering the great sword.

"Yes, master. Now one day’s rest, right?" The demon asked.

"Yes," Leon said and then again found a spot to resume his cultivation. Leon had already mastered all the sword forms from the Sword Art Breathing. So he entirely focused on cultivation for this one day. By the time the demon approached again, the Astral Avatar had reached the second stage of the Martial Warrior realm. The speed at which Leon was progressing was just too much. If anyone else in the upper heavens knew about this, they surely would have gone mad from sheer shock.

Leon stood up once more. The Demon Sword materialized in his hand.

The ground started shaking as the soil turned crimson. One crimson figure emerged from the ground. Then another. And another. The number skyrocketed and soon crossed four hundred. Leon stood tall in the middle of a swarm of demons.

"Ninth Form," Leon whispered. "Demon purging aura."

A dense indigo aura cloaked the entire Demon Sword. And then...

He shot forward.

A demon, the first one to appear before Leon, swung its arm. The Demon Sword only flashed once as Leon kept moving forward. The demon’s head spun in the air before dropping on the ground behind him.

Four more demons appeared before him, wanting to stop him.

Whoooooosh!

Another red flash. All four were sliced in half as blood sprayed. Leon continued to weave between attacks and move forward, leaving behind a trail of dead bodies. He looked like a plague, spreading death.

A giant crimson figure suddenly appeared before Leon. It had three pairs of arms. A giant warhammer rested on its shoulder. Seeing Leon giving it no face and still rushing forward, the giant lifted the massive weapon and swung it.

The warhammer descended like a meteor, wanting to destroy anything that would dare to appear before it.

Just when it was about to land on Leon’s head, he twisted his body to the side, letting the Warhammer pass by. At the same time, Leon jumped and landed on the handle of the warhammer to use it as a base. He then shot toward the demon’s head.

The demon staggered back, wanting to retreat, but it only saw a red flash, crimson energy trailing behind it. And then, the world spun around it as the decapitated head rolled down.

Leon didn’t stop and continued to wreak havoc as the number of demons continued to decrease at a fast rate.
