One of those seven stepped forward. He raised his hand, and instantly a magic circle appeared. Then another before it. By the looks of it, another was about to appear as the air shimmered, but the person who had given the order spoke. "Watch it, Jayden. This planet won’t be able to handle that much power. And if we destroy it by mistake, there will be consequences. And I don’t believe these people are worth that much effort either."

The person who was preparing to attack nodded. One circle shattered.

The next moment, dark arcs like blades shot out from the circle and shot toward Lamia. Frenrir and Noira paled.

"Nooooo." Jenny also screamed in fear. She had been living with these three people for quite a few days now and had grown a liking toward them. How could she accept this?

But just before those dark, malicious blades could strike any of the three, ice shields materialized in the air before them.

All blades shattered instantly. The next moment, those ice shields morphed into ice lances and shot forward.

The leader of the seven looked at Lamia. "You! Who are you?"

The leader froze for a moment before bursting into laughter. "Interesting. I didn’t think anyone would be here to defend against fist circle magic. You proved me wrong. Good. Earth does have some potential then. But if you think that’s enough to get you out of here alive today, you are sorely mistaken." He then looked at the person who had attacked. "Jayden. Kill her." He then looked toward another person beside him. A female. "Mona. Make sure that girl with the Zenekian blood doesn’t die as collateral damage."

The girl nodded. She raised her hand, and immediately a golden magic circle appeared before her. The air shimmered as another circle appeared before it. Then another. And another. After that fourth circle, it stopped.

The next moment, a translucent barrier materialized surrounding Jenny.

Frenrir and Noira tried to get her out, but the moment they touched the barrier, they were blasted away, slamming into the walls on both sides.

Boooom! Both walls collapsed.

The magic circle before Jayden shimmered as another magic circle appeared before it.

Multiple black blades shot out once more. But this time, all of them were thicker. The energy being radiated from them was so overwhelming that the space distorted violently.

Lamia didn’t even raise a finger. But the moment those blades closed in, they turned white, rugged frost appearing on their surfaces. And then, they plummeted to the ground, shattering.

Lamia then waved her hand casually, and instantly, ice spikes erupted from the floor, shooting at each one of them.

An azure magic circle appeared before a middle-aged man. The next moment, the air rippled as all those spikes were swallowed into nothingness. The group of seven and Lamia looked at each other. Those seven were surprised beyond words. They didn’t look shaken, but they clearly hadn’t expected this outcome.

"The person you are trying to take away..." Lamia spoke. "If she’s hurt, then I can promise you one thing. Someone will come knocking at Glamoxia. Even if not now, very soon in the near future. And when that day comes, not even your Elven Lord will be able to save Glamoxia."

Those seven... Their expressions turned ugly.

"You know about elves?" The leader asked with a shocked expression.

Lamia’s answer was her cold look. She had already given enough warning.

The leader stayed silent for a while before his lips curved into a smile. "That was a nice try. Maybe you are from Nexar, right? A primal, if I am not wrong. But seriously? Not even our Elven Lord can save Glamoxia? Even if ten Martial Gods fight with our Lord, they will still lose. Even if it’s a divine beast lord, they will still lose. You should have learned the proper power hierarchy before using it as a threat."

This time he himself stepped forward and raised his hand. A purple-blue color magic circle appeared before him. Then another. The space distorted.

Leon slowly walked toward Hazel and Wren. Except for these two, all who had come forward to attack Leon for the blood essence had died.

Wren opened his mouth to speak but found no words.

Leon took another step toward him. Wren tried to move back but collapsed on his back instead.

"Listen." He started again, his voice trembling. "I am from the Demon Slayer clan. If you kill me, you and everyone from your family w....." He couldn’t finish as the black claymore flashed.

"You are trying to beg for mercy, and threatening my family is all you could come up with?"

Wren tried to speak but couldn’t. A thin line of red appeared in his throat as his head rolled down the next moment.

Leon then turned toward Hazel. "What about you? What would you have done if I wasn’t strong?"

"I am ashamed of myself," Hazel said and closed her eyes. She knew what was coming. "If I have a next life, I won’t tangle myself with the wrong side."

She had accepted her punishment. She felt she really deserved it.

She waited but didn’t feel the pain she was preparing to endure. Surprised, she opened her eyes. She saw Leon had turned his back and was walking away. "Consider that you died and were given a new life. I will see which side you choose this time."
