I was level 15 when the heroic deed of saving the village from a bandit raid was over, and another two years passed by even faster than the first eight had since we were given even greater freedom to venture deeper into the forest, getting to hunt rabbit, deer, even the occasional goblins when we ran into them.
All of which added up and raised my level to 18, increasing points by 3, plus two more from my increase in age.
But never even once did i need to make any further point assignments since there was no difficulty or risk in the current conflicts myself and my orphan siblings had to deal with on a day to day.
But just because i didnt find any difficulty didnt mean the others didnt.
More than that, if my plan i'd been concocting up since that day was going to work i'd need to make sure they could become even better than they already were to rise up and become the heroes who could protect me so that i could survive longer to keep using my power for the betterment of the world.
But that also meant the time for us to remain together was quickly coming to an end, if i was to remain safe, i couldnt stick my neck out to remain in the party facing off against the horrors of the world.
There was however one advantage i had managed to achieve.
After watching the villagers over the years i was able to make some educated guesses about how jobs came to be.
Cross-referencing against others i could then make a fair estimation on what the unlock conditions for jobs would be.
this allowed me to unlock the Village Chief job and using that job which was one of the rare jobs that also came with an accompanying skill.
I was able to use [Name Order] to give a parting gift to everyone i held so dear in my heart, but at the same time felt a pang of loss since tommorow was going to be the day... the day that everything would change.
[Cade] Level 16
Job : Hero
[Cole] Level 16
Job: Knight
[Alison] Level 16
Job: Miko
The three who had fought by my side for years were gifted with their very own names, skipping over the naming portion of the awakening ceremony, as i wasnt entirely sure how that happened anyway.
Did god actually give us names during the ceremony, or did the performing priest do that on gods behalf?
Each of my siblings, they had grown up in more ways than one over the last few years, each of them still possessing the ability to wield the hero class but only Cade had the mentality to deal with such a position I thought, while Cole was too proud and headstrong, suiting more of what made a good knight, rather than a hero, since every Hero would need a guardian who could absorb hits buying him time to unleash the killing blow.
As for Alison, well she was always opposed to fighting, still bearing the scars of our bandit fight in her heart, so when she continued to level up rather than increase her own battle potential i instead invested her new points into mana and holy giving her the ability to perform the duties of a priest and with training even provide healing to the masses.

Which gave her the unique jobs available to her differing from the boys, and the most fitting at the moment was Miko, if we managed to increase our levels even just a little bit more she might have been able to unlock saintess but that was for the future now.
Her powers as a healer would greatly aid any party she chose to belong to, or even simply just the church in general would be pleased to accept such a pious and talented young soul as herself.
The stage was set for the greatest awakening in this villages history, one that was surely to become legend as it spread and details were changed, but one thing remained, while they were all destined for greatness, I would be remaining quietly in the background, having waited until now to drop my own job back down to Vilager, I had considered making it a farmer but that would mean talking to the local lord to acquire a plot of land and becoming a serf, and well semi-slavery was not good from the dreams, so it was better to go it as a villager to start with and say I was going to try and make a start in the city since staying behind in the village that birthed a hero which would only constantly remind me of my own inadequacy.
And even if I couldn't get to the city I could create my own homestead closer to the forest as a loner at least until the chance to get away presented itself.
The three were absolutely bubbling tonight within the orphanage as the day of the awakening drew closer, waiting on the wandering priest to arrive which was expected to be tommorow according to the villagers.
Sure we all were still young for it, but given how successful we already were everyone including the sisters were pushing for our own awakening to keep us from wasting our time in this borderland village.
The change to their jobs and names were fairly recent.
A safeguard if you will against the priest trying to do anything shady.
Names were locked in as soon as they were given, except for if someone with a specific rank like a noble or a knight were to use their own skill to grant a noble grant raising a commoner up into the ranks of the nobility itself by giving someone a last name.
None of the three were even remotely aware of what their jobs now were, and yet they would be stuck with them for at least a month before anyone could attempt to change it to anything else.
This might be a restriction placed on people like me to prevent us from rapidly changing job just to suit the situation or from being hounded by people who just wanted to try jobs out until they found the one that suited them best.
We were all resting in the bedroom, Alison had fallen asleep pretty quickly wearing herself out from the earlier going away party thrown for us four by the other children and the sisters.
Cole and Cade were in bed, but even so they were still endlessly chattering about what kind of jobs they would be given, even trying to guess what their names would be.
The greatest thing about today was the gift we all received from Mother.
A new set of clothes, nothing truly great like the flowing silk robes of the merchants, but still high quality compared to the Thax ones we normally wore everyday, it seems like beyond the allowance handed to us, and the expenses of the orphanage they had been holding back copper and iron bits to give us this pricey going away present.
A sort of investment into us as future adults, and perhaps as an apology for having taken away so much money we ourseleves had earned over the years.
The other bonus was something none of us expected.
Weapons and armor that was previously used by the bandits who attacked the village years ago.
I had just assumed the village kept the pieces they could use for the militia, while the rest was sold off to reimburse the families of those injured int he defence or possibly to assist in affording the cost of resurrection.
The last thing i could remember before sleep finally claimed me was Cole talking about how he really wanted to become a sage so he could toss out fireballs, like a force of nature!
Heh sorry Cole, perhaps you could become a paladin working for the church casting magic while remaining study like a knight.
