Dean had told Percival every detail of his dream: the faces he could remember, Hermes’s shouts, how he had actually believed Hermes even though he couldn’t hear a thing, and that the reason for this was that mysterious figure.

Percival was trying to make sense of what was happening, responding to Dean as he described each face. He did not miss anyone, not even one person that he could see clearly.

The very last face he had described would be the thing that changed Dean’s mind.

"That god you are talking about, sir, might be High-God Apollo."

When Dean heard that name, he furrowed his brow and asked, "Apollo?" as if he couldn’t believe it.

Apollo, one of the Twelve Main Gods and Goddesses of Olympus, represented music, healing, the sun itself, poetry and, of course, prophecy.

He was a member of the High-Gods himself and one of the third-generation gods.

Despite being one of the Major Deities, there were still many powers within Aether of a higher rank than him, capable of obliterating him in a matter of seconds.

This was an inescapable truth.

And, of course, the same applied to Hermes.

"I hope you won’t mind me asking, but are you quite sure you’re not misremembering something, sir?" Percival had asked, with great curiosity.

Of course, Percival’s way of thinking was not particularly unusual.

Someone like Apollo was one of those gods regarded as synonymous with goodness, truly seen as the very embodiment of light.

He wasn’t the sort to go and betray his own brother.

Still, a seed of doubt had taken root within Dean.

No matter what he did, these thoughts would not leave him alone.

Although he had not the faintest idea what was happening in Aether, he had to go there, and it was his duty to do so as quickly as possible.

The young man realised he could not sleep any longer.

"Ask the guards at the door if I can go to work right now," the young man had ordered.

If his suspicions were correct, he had to get out of this dungeon quickly and hope that the dungeon would form in the shortest possible time and take him to Aether.

There was no other way.

When Percival went out and returned shortly afterwards, he’d given Dean a positive answer, and with that, the proceedings had begun.

Dean quickly got to his feet and got ready.

He had two more factory jobs to complete.

That’s why he wanted to finish everything quickly.

If he slept less today, he could finish both jobs quickly; in fact, if Percival worked at one factory whilst he took care of the job on the other side, he could finish both at the same time.

Although he really didn’t want to spend such a long time in this dungeon, there was nothing he could do about it.

When he reached the work area quickly, he learnt that his job was to process the timber and send it off for shipbuilding.

He would be doing this for a full eight hours.

Of course, during this time, he’d managed to send Percival off to the other factory.

By tackling both jobs at once and taking care to complete every single part thoroughly, both jobs were fully finished within eight hours.

However, one final task remained.

Three of the tasks could be carried out within the factory, but the fourth would take place in the outer area, on the other side of the shipyard.

Nevertheless, Dean was aware that he would not be carrying this out here today.

Knowing that he would not be carrying out his next task here either, once he had gathered information about that task, his next and final one, he had chosen to stay in one of the hotels within the shipyard rather than even going to his villa to sleep.

After a good night’s sleep, he managed to wake up nearly five hours later and headed straight for his task on the far side of the shipyard, in the area closest to the sea.

His only task here would be to paint the decks of the ships.

Once he had painted exactly three decks, the job would be done.

Still, no one had told him the job would be easy.

It was pouring with rain.

This meant that the paint applied to the deck would be VERY difficult to work with, requiring him to proceed with the utmost care.

Once he’d fully recovered, he met with the people who were to give him the job, and not just him; nearly thirty Ghosts had boarded a single ship.

The ship... was huge.

I mean, it really was huge.

As far as Dean knew, this ship was a military vessel to be used by a Ghost-King.

Ghost-Kings were, of course, individuals who had failed to become Demons but were close to breaking that barrier.

In other words, they could be regarded as the candidates closest to becoming one of the future Demon-Lords.

That was why Dean had to be VERY careful.

Thanks to his wealth, he could buy his way out of many situations and avoid a great deal of trouble, but he might not be able to so easily escape from someone tens of or even hundreds of times more powerful than him.

Even offering millions of Nether and Aether coins might not have changed the situation.

He seemed to be aware of this.

That was precisely why he had wanted to carry out everything with a level of caution greater than he had ever exercised in his life.

When the painting process began, Dean noticed many people on board the ship watching them, all wearing military uniforms in different colours.

Although they were all ghosts, they looked quite incredible.

They weren’t much different from humans. One could say they looked exactly like humans...like literal humanoids.

It was just that each of them had blue skin and bright yellow eyes.

"They are tiny demons, sir. The person... the Ghost-King might be someone who works under a very powerful Demon-Lord. We must be careful."

With the information provided by the young man, Percival continued his work with greater care, and the first ship was fully painted after perhaps three hours.

The Ghosts used Yin and Yang powers to seal the ship with a large barrier, whilst the individuals Percival had described as ’tiny demons’ began to heat the interior of the barrier to dry the paint.

Another ship then underwent the same procedure, and the last one was treated in the same way.

Once Dean had completed all his tasks in a short space of time, the young man collected his payment and headed straight for the central area of the shipyard, entering the management building.

The young man had managed to catch sight of Seo-ah.

When Seo-ah saw him, she smiled and said, "You’ve completed all your tasks, sir. I don’t know what drove you to rush out like this, but I hope everything goes as you wish. I’ll pray for you, Mr Decanus. Your release from the dungeon will take place in two hours. I wish you a good day."

Dean smiled after signing all the business documents one by one.

Although Seo-ah could not see his face, a strange sense of joy seemed to wash over the woman.

Dean hurried towards the city centre and went to the restaurant he had visited the previous day to collect his order.

After sending each item to his inventory, he paid the required amount and then began to wait whilst having a drink at a café in the city centre.

"Percival, is there a way, a literal way, to connect with a god or a goddess when you’re in Aether?" Dean asked.

Percival emerged from his spirit in an instant and manifested himself in reality.

"There are many ways, sir," Percival had replied.

"Which is the easiest and best way?" Dean had asked.

"It’s quite simple, my lord. To pray, of course," Percival had replied.

When Dean heard this answer, he looked at Percival intently. He thought he was joking, but there was nothing he could do about it.

"So I just have to fold my hands and pray, is that it?" Dean had asked.

As he said this, he could see the smile on Percival’s face.

"Of course not, my lord. You must make an offering to the god or goddess you are praying to, and then pray by stating your name and your request," Percival had replied.

Dean took a deep breath.

"So... I simply need to build an altar," Dean had muttered.

Percival had nodded and said, "Yes, my lord."

Dean had taken a deep breath. At least he knew what he had to do.

At that moment, his body began to fill with blood, and he was then able to see the system window:
