"What the actual fuck?"

At Dean's words, the expressions on everyone's faces in the room changed. Of course, this did not include Humphrey and Aphrodite.

As he spoke, Aphrodite's naked body was wrapped in clothes, and the ancient goddess had said directly, "I'm just messing with you, darling. I'm married, you know?"

With that, Dean looked at the ancient goddess once more and gave her a once-over from head to toe. It was clear he was thoroughly disgusted.

"Hmhm!"

Aphrodite gave a slightly odd chuckle, then sat back down in her swivel chair and tapped one of her legs gently twice.

"Come, dear Humphrey," said the ancient goddess.

At these words, Humphrey hopped twice, and on his third hop, he landed on Aphrodite's leg.

"Truly a young man to be proud of. I don't even know if anyone in any realm has ever cleared this dungeon so quickly, my lady," Humphrey said suddenly.

Whilst Dean listened curiously to what the frog was saying, Aphrodite looked at him and said, "Sit. Now we'll watch the second place together. Before the dungeon is over, you'll receive your rewards. But for now, we'll watch."

Dean sat down on a chair without objecting to these words.

The chair beneath him was surprisingly comfortable, though he barely noticed it. His attention had already been drawn toward the enormous screen of light that had appeared in front of the three of them.

A new scene was forming within it.

Unlike Dean's examination, there was no vast cosmic space, no ancient symbols, and no behemoth.

Instead, there was a valley.

A very large valley.

It stretched beneath an orange sky, surrounded by enormous mountains. Strange trees covered the landscape, their trunks thick enough to resemble towers. Rivers cut through the valley, and massive creatures wandered between them.

Dean narrowed his eyes instantly.

"Dinosaurs?" he asked.

Humphrey nodded.

"Indeed," the frog said with a big smile.

Dean leaned forward as he realised there were dozens of them.

A herd of enormous herbivores was moving across the valley, their footsteps shaking the ground. Smaller creatures moved between their legs, while flying reptiles circled above.

And then Dean noticed the woman.

She stood alone in the middle of the valley. She looked completely ordinary.

No weapon.

No armour.

No visible magic.

Just a woman wearing simple clothing, standing with her hands behind her back while several enormous dinosaurs slowly approached.

Dean frowned.

"She has to kill them?" he asked. For a person like Dean who is certainly not TOO powerful, this would be a nightmare.

Aphrodite crossed one leg over the other. Humphrey jumped to the other leg directly.

"Not quite," she said after that.

Dean looked at her.

"What do you mean, my lady?"

"She has to solve the examination," she said and added, "This is a puzzle, remember?"

Aphrodite smiled.

"The dinosaurs are merely the consequences of failure."

Dean looked back at the screen. One of the enormous creatures opened its mouth.

The woman didn't move.

"That's reassuring."

Humphrey chuckled.

"The examination is rather clever," he said.

Dean glanced at him.

"You've seen this one before?" he asked.

"Not this particular candidate's attempt," Humphrey replied.

"But the examination itself?" Dean asked once more, more confused than before.

"Of course."

Humphrey tapped his cane against his shoulder by jumping there.

"It tests whether the examinee can use knowledge under pressure. A different kind of puzzle. The one inside your mind, unlike the ones where you need to think outwards," he said.

The woman suddenly moved.

Not toward the dinosaurs but toward a nearby tree. She touched the trunk of the giant tree.

A series of glowing symbols appeared. Dean leaned forward.

"What's she doing?"

"Thinking," Aphrodite answered.

Dean frowned.

"That doesn't explain anything," he said.

Aphrodite smiled.

"It will," she replied.

The first dinosaur charged, and the ground shook with it.

The woman remained perfectly still.

At the final moment, she jumped sideways. The dinosaur crashed into the tree.

The tree broke. Dean's eyes widened.

The woman immediately grabbed one of the broken branches...well, not branches, after all; the tree was giant, but we may say a tiny piece of wood.

She looked at it. Then at the dinosaur. Then at the ground. It was like a movie scene.

She smiled.

Dean blinked.

"She figured something out," he said, confused while trying to guess what it was.

Humphrey nodded.

"Indeed."

The woman started running once more as the dinosaurs chased her.

She deliberately led it toward a steep slope. Dean immediately understood.

"She wants it to fall."

But the woman stopped before reaching the edge.

The dinosaur continued, then suddenly, the ground beneath it collapsed.

The enormous creature disappeared into a pit.

Dean stared.

"Where did that come from?"

Aphrodite laughed softly.

"The examination provides the tools. It is a huge space, literally a valley after all. Not only does the puzzle itself exist. There are also nature and view," she explained.

Dean looked carefully. The woman hadn't dug the pit. It had already been there.

She had noticed it. Somehow, she did KNOW that the pit was there. She had simply used the dinosaur's behaviour to make it fall into it.

The woman looked toward another group. Three smaller predators were watching her.

Dean frowned.

"Those are next," he said. This time he was more relaxed.

"Correct," Humphrey said.

The woman immediately began running. But this time, she didn't run away from the predators.

She ran toward them. Dean's eyebrows rose.

"What is she doing?" he thought to himself.

The predators charged. At the last possible second, the woman dropped to the ground. The creatures jumped over her.

She rolled aside and grabbed a small stone.

She threw it toward another dinosaur.

The stone struck its leg, and the creature roared.

"URRRAAAGGGGKK!!!"

The predators turned toward it.

Dean's eyes widened.

"She made them fight each other," he said, and a big smile appeared on his face.

Humphrey nodded approvingly.

"Rather efficient," the frog said.

Aphrodite smiled.

"She's clever," the goddess said.

But the woman didn't stop. She was far away from stopping. She directly ran toward a cliff. Above her, several flying reptiles were circling.

Dean immediately noticed the pattern. They weren't random. They were following the wind.

The woman stopped.

She looked at the sky, then at the trees and lastly at the cliff.

Dean frowned.

"She is calculating."

The woman picked up another stone, a tiny piece.

She threw it upward. The stone disappeared into the wind.

She watched its trajectory.

Then she smiled.

"She figured out the wind direction," Aphrodite explained.

Humphrey nodded.

"And?" he asked.

Dean watched.

The woman began climbing the cliff; the flying reptiles descended.

One swooped toward her. She moved sideways. She was VERY good at dodging, to be honest.

Another followed, and she ducked the attack.

The creature struck the cliff wall.

The woman grabbed its tail.

For a moment, Dean thought she had lost her mind. Then she let go.

The creature flew away.

But now it was carrying something. A vine. The vine had been wrapped around a tree.

It snapped free. The other end remained attached.

Dean's eyes widened.

"She's setting a trap," he said. To be honest, for battle IQ, she was way better than him.

The woman jumped down. The flying reptile pulled the vine tight, and the tree bent with it.

"CRACK!"

The tree snapped backwards.

The enormous trunk slammed into a group of dinosaurs.

Several of them fell.

Dean stared.

"Yo...Who the fuck is she?" he asked. He couldn't do anything else other than ask this question.

She was beyond talented.

Humphrey looked pleased.

"Physics is remarkably useful," the frog said suddenly.

Aphrodite laughed. It indeed was a beautiful laugh.

"Especially when one possesses no weapon," she added to the frog's words.

Dean leaned back.

"This is ridiculous," he said

"You solved a cosmic examination," Aphrodite reminded him.

Dean paused.

"I don't even think it was that hard," he said.

This was the second that Dean made everyone look at him, confused and quite literally shocked at the same time.

It was literally a maddening thing that he just said.

[Not hard.]

It was a fucking cosmic examination, a logical equation.

It WAS hard.

Still no one said anything about it, and the eyes were quickly turned back to the white screen that showed the woman.

The woman continued, but now there were more dinosaurs.

Much more.

The valley began filling with them. A massive predator appeared in the distance.

Dean immediately recognised it.

"That one looks bad," he said.

Humphrey nodded.

"A Tyrannosaurus," the frog said.

"Yeah, I know what a T-Rex is," Dean said, once more annoyed at the frog.

The creature roared.

"Grrrrrrrmmmmmm...."

The sound shook the entire screen. It was not like the normal sound you would see in Western cinema.

It was a roar; it surely was. But at the same time it was filled with horror. It wasn't a roar for ears but a loud one for the whole fucking body.

Even Dean felt the effect of it, and he was behind the screen, and god knows how many kilometres away from it.
